Dock's just ain't what it used to be. Me and my boy Richard F. used to slam Fishwiches from the location on 87th. Over time we went less and less. That location has the worst customer service and it takes FOREVER to fulfil orders. I was pleasantly surprised to see this new location. For +20 years I believe there was only one Dock's. I ordered delivery. They started off all wrong by forgetting my Dockberry shake. If you're a true Southsider, (not one of these Johnny come latelies that think it's a hip new trend to live South of Bridgeport) you'll understand this is unforgivable. I'll cast that egregious mistake aside because it could've been the drivers fault. Overall still 3 star worthy. Not delicious. Not bad. Dock's will forever be a legend, unfortunately their hayday is no more. Pro Tip: Skip the fries.

This place was not it other than the great art work. This place was not anything I would go back to. The food was just blah. I ordered the fish sandwich they said they were famous for. It was just okay. No seasoning really. The fries were not hot and had no salt at all. Nothing special about it. I got extra tartar sauce only to learn it was packages. We were a group of 7 who wanted to eat in the restaurant. There were not enough seats at all. The tables were all wobbly. There's not restroom for customers. I repeat, you cannot even wash your hands because there's not a restroom at all. I had to go next door to the hair salon and they so graciously allowed me to use their facilities. A friend got the banana pudding. Well, it tasted like lemon Oreo cookies. Nothing like banana pudding. The tea was good. I think that may be the only reason people still go to this place. For Chicago to be this food Mecca, we southerners were not impressed at all.

DELICIOUS!!! My 1st time eating Docks and everything was on point, so much flavor. Our fishwich was crispy and hot, the bread was soft and the fries were hot and crispy as well. So glad we stopped in on our way home.

First visit at this location. My usual Docks is of course 87th Dan Ryan. OK, so this location is very nice. Great design, nice seating, Great Wall pictures. The food comes out fast compared to 87th BUT the taste is not there yet. My food was just ok. It wasn't hot. It's as if they've cooked the food ahead of time; which is why I'm guessing they have a quicker turnaround. I ordered 3 fishwich and the lettuce was "dead" totally brown. REALLY!!! I'll give this location a little more time to get the taste right. Until then I'll go to Docks on 87th. Place my order go shopping. Take a nap then go back in and wait 30 more minutes.

We got a drink then the text came through and we sat at our table. For appetizers, we had a dozen oysters. They were so fresh and flavorful. Risotto is something I have been looking for since I tried many years ago at the now closed Pompeii Orland Park location. They had an amazing risotto. Well, Cindy's I have to say is even better. The risotto was so creamy and rich in flavor. The mushrooms were delicious and the chicken was the perfect addition. The pot pie was full of duck meat and veggies. It was very delicious and would definitely recommend it! We also had the broccolini as a side to share, it is a very big order and very very flavorful. The char gave it such a unique, great test. I was surprised to have finished our food completely it was that good . The server brought out a small slice of cake to celebrate the birthday. The perfect dessert. I would definitely come back to try out their brunch menu.

While I wasn't a big fan of the taste of my drink and dessert, my friend enjoyed both of theirs. Rather, the service was excellent and the views were amazing. My friend ordered The Rocher for dessert, which includes hazelnut cake, mascarpone chantilly, and smoked maldon salt. I ordered a Baked Alaska, consisting of citrus cake, lemon cream, toasted meringue, and salted white chocolate crunch. We both also ordered cocktails. I cannot recall the name of the drinks. I asked for my drink to be fruity and sweet, but it wasn't enough of either for me. The Baked Alaska was fine but too much of various flavors. I wouldn't fault the restaurant for the drink or dessert taste as I know others really enjoyed theirs. Our server was most attentive and very helpful. We found that making a reservation on Open Table only offered a certain number of time slots, and all of them involved having dinner and not just drinks or a dessert. Reservations can also be made on their website though we chose to speak to the front desk about a reservation. Going up to the bar is first come, first serve though. We ended up making an Open Table reservation and were told it was okay to only order drinks and desserts. Cindy's is named in honor of Marian "Cindy" Pritzker, a beloved Chicago philanthropist. It sits on top of the 13th floor of the hotel under a glass atrium and offers views of Millennium Park, Lake Michigan, and beyond. Cindy's Rooftop is open Monday through Thursday from 11 AM to 11 PM, Friday from 11 AM to 12 Midnight, Saturday from 10 AM to 12 Midnight, and Sunday from 10 AM to 11 PM. Go to https://cindysrooftop.com to see a live terrace view, menus, private dining information, and more. If you're staying at or in the area of the Chicago Athletic Association, definitely go up to Cindy's Rooftop for the experience.

From someone who grew up in Miami i can let you know that it's no Miami Joe's, but it's nice to be able to make a reservation here AND get seated right away...and it's almost as good as back home. My dad's 70th bday is coming up so we took him for dinner here last night to celebrate and my brother even drove in from Michigan to surprise him for the occasion. I think half the appeal was that my brother also wasn't missing a stellar meal at Joe's. We had 6:15pm reservations for our party of 6 and were seated by 6:30pm. Michael was our waiter who had been at Joe's for only about 7 months, but definitely knew his stuff. I'm a stone crab girl and can't imagine getting anything but that at Joe's. My dad followed in my lead. The rest of the family went the steak or other route. No matter what anyone got (steak, shrimp pasta, crab cake, etc) everyone agreed it was a near perfect meal. And of course all the appetizers (cesar salad, oysters) and sides (mashed potatoes, creamed spinach) were pretty tasty too. 2 of my kids ordered off the kids menu, which I thought was a pretty good deal for $20. My 13 year old was worried the 4 oz steak wouldn't be enough for him, but between all the sides and appetizers (and ice cream sundae that came with it) he had plenty to eat. And of course you can't go to Joe's without a slice of key lime pie. Dinner for 6 at Joe's is $$$, but if you're going to spend that type of money on one meal at least you know you'll have a good one here. On the way out my son let me know that this is his favorite restaurant in Chicago and I think I have to agree.

I ordered the seasonal Si Se Puede, Tia mezcal cocktail, which was quite spicy and perfectly sweet. For appetizers, we shared the parkerhouse rolls. The rolls were soft and buttery with a delicious whipped butter spread. For the main dish, I ordered the Dearborn Burger. It was solid overall and the portion size was very generous. I tried the fish and chips as well which were excellent. Would definitely order this next time! For dessert, we tried the sticky toffee date cake. I liked that it was not too heavy, and the Heath bar crumbles added a nice crunch. My only wishlist would be to have more of that delicious sauce to scoop up! We left with ample leftovers and in high spirits. Definitely looking forward to visiting again and trying more of the menu!

We shared the twin lobster sticky rice (came with 2 lobsters for $88), the salted yolk pumpkin, and the pork belly chicken soup. The soup was good but the white pepper taste was a bit too strong. The other dishes were on the heavier, oily side but they were really delicious. There were generous portions of lobster. It did start to pick up around 8 PM, but by then we were wrapping up. If you've ever been here on a weekend, you already know...it gets crowded fast. So weekday evenings are definitely the move if you want a more relaxed experience. One thing I did notice is that the menu feels more condensed compared to pre-COVID days. The quality is still there, but some of the little details have changed. For example, the fried alligator now comes with a hot honey sauce instead of the original sauce...and I'm not sure why that changed. I get that restaurants have had to adjust over time, but I do wish they'd bring some of those original touches back. Also, don't be surprised if a few of your old favorites are gone or slightly different. Customer service has always been consistent for me...friendly, attentive, and welcoming. The atmosphere is more on the intimate side, nothing overly flashy, just a comfortable place to enjoy a good meal. Parking is pretty reasonable and the lot is spacious, but when it's busy, you'll definitely feel it. There were three of us, and we ordered the fondue, fried alligator, fried shrimp, three-piece stuffed crab, and blackened salmon with red beans and rice, plus a drink. After tax and tip, the bill came out to around $150-$160, which felt fair for what we ordered. Overall, this is still one of my go-to spots and I'll definitely be back. I just hope they consider bringing back some of the original menu items...or at least that original alligator sauce!

We promptly left only to find out an hour later when we were already home that our table was ready. We loved the restaurant, so we returned on Sunday to celebrate there. My mom complained to the floor manager Dawaan Williams about what had happened with the incorrect 4.5 hr projected wait time and he gave us an "appetizer on the house" and a $100 gift card for the inconvience only AFTER he argued back and forth. When our waiter Teerika Felix came in, she IMMEDIATELY had an attitude and was in a mood. She was short, snappy, and overall unkind to be working in a service job. We ordered our appetizer and all three of us only got salads. Because our wait for the salad was so long 30-45min, the waiter (Teerika Felix ) said she would comp it because of how excessively long that was. Although the service was poor and has always been at THIS location, we still left a $10 tip being that they had given all of this stuff for free ("appetizer on the house", comped salad, and the gift card). We left, and as we were leaving we saw the waiter (Teerika Felix) and the manager (Dawaan Williams) chasing after us and taking down the license plate of our car. Immediately confused, my mom got out and went inside to address this. To find out, the manager (Dawaan Williams) completely forgot he comped the appetizer and accused us of stealing it before we reminded him of what he literally told us at the start of our dining experience. We got the general manager and explained to him how humiliating it is to accuse LOYAL customer of abhorrent behavior because of lack of communication and memory. Also the lack of common sense is astounding. Why would we run out on the bill when you gave us a $100 gift card?? Teerika and Dawaan aren't that bright which is why they are working this lowly, menial job in their 30s/40s lol We gave back our gift card and got back our tip. Will NEVER go to this restaurant again.
