After ordering 4 sandwiches today, I was disappointed to find that they had made the sandwiches with a different type of bread, which was noticeably worse than what was used maybe two weeks ago. In comparison to the bread previously used, these taste stale and hard. From calling the restaurant, it sounds like this is the new bead being used moving forward, which is disappointing. Also, the deluxe sandwich which is supposed to have the grilled peaches appears to have these tiny scraps of peaches, it looks lazily done. I was very excited for this place, but the lack of consistency means I will be going elsewhere moving forward. read more

I got sent a coupon for this Italian specialty sandwich shop, which I had bookmarked for a long time. I thought it was going to be something special. It was anything but. First of all, the restaurant is located inside a poke shop, so you can easily miss it. I know I did for about 15 minutes, walking here and there and going up to the second floor since I couldn't find it. They have a logo in the window, but all the signage is for the poke shop, which shares the small place with the sandwich shop. One guy mans each restaurant from behind a counter, like a Subway sandwich shop. Well I got two sandwiches - the Americano and the Va Bene with spicy salami. Both came with a large mess of fresh mozzarella, which I know plenty of people probably love. First time I've had a huge half ball of moz on a sandwich, and I did not like it at all. It actually ruined both sandwiches as far as flavor. The better of the two was the Va Bene, though even this sandwich left little impression. It's just salami and mozzarella on a small unimpressive tiny section of bread. The size of both sandwiches is actually disappointingly small. The lesser sandwich was the Americano. It wanted to be a standard Italian deli meat grinder, but the sandwich was too small, the meats were nothing special, and the moz once again ruined everything. They offer a cheap, basic cold cut sandwich for $5.95, and if you must try this place I suggest trying this before you spend more money. Bottom line is this was a total disappointment, I didn't like my sandwiches at all, and I will not be back. Sorry, but I cannot recommend this place. The food is just sad. read more

One of my favorite spots to order from. Consistently fresh and delivers very well. I've even picked it up to go for a picnic and it was packed well read more

I've been on a hunt for good local sandwich place for my lunch breaks, so I'm very glad I stumbled upon Si Roma. I got the Si Roma Deluxe, which was honestly hard not to love (prosciutto, stracciatella, and grilled peaches) with confusingly low prices for how fresh their ingredients are. Their Sicilian sodas are also super unique and refreshing. Service was fast, but also homey and friendly. It caught me by surprise to be asked if I wanted my sandwich remade fresh (even though I had only ordered it online no more than half an hour ago). Their level of care for your experience was above and beyond, and really made this place shine. It's a little tricky to find, but you can park in the free 90-min parking structure on Artsakh, and walk thru the shopping alley until you see the signs of Pokitomik. Plenty of indoor and outdoor seating. I'll be back to try the other options. Thank you Si Roma! :) read more

Great food and service thank you! I got the veggie sandwich and lemon bar. Destiny was really helpful. will be coming back

I honestly can't choose a favorite because all of their sandwiches are so unique and amazing! I always get mine with sea salt chips--it just hits the spot. The bread is always so fresh and perfectly crunchy, and even when I order through Postmates, it tastes just as good as eating it there. Sometimes I can't finish the whole sandwich and save the rest for later, and it's still delicious! Highly recommend giving this place a try. You won't be disappointed! read more

They are located in Pokitomik! Parking was easy in the garage behind with the first 90 mins free. We were greeted with a friendly face. I didn't catch his name but he was really nice and even gave us a sample without us asking. Had a homey feel to the place with pictures around the restaurant. I got the si Roma deluxe. I really liked the sweet and salty taste that the peaches bring to the sandwich. I just wish there was more stracciatella spread evenly to offset the saltiness of the prosciutto. For combos you can get chips from the baskets and drinks are in the refrigerators. We also got the cannoli and it was the first time I tired a cannoli. It was really good. Overall a really good experience! read more

One of the best sandwiches of my life! On par with sandwiches we had in Italy! Delicious freshly baked bread, hand split and toasted to order. High quality ingredients at every step. The Stracciatella cheese is a game changer. Do not miss an opportunity for one of the best lunches in Los Angeles! Si Roma did a pop up at my office. Great service. read more

Loved this sandwich spot from the very beginning, we used to go when they were food truck. What initially stood out most was the bread and the peaches in their sandwich. This was their twist on savory and sweet. We were excited that they finally opened a brick and mortar location. I ordered my usual sandwich from years past, but sadly something was definetly noticibly different. What differed first off all was the bread, it was not soft and chewy, rather it was a little burnt and slightly hard. I couldn't believe that the bread alone made the sandwich, but it did. Sadly, my once beloved sandwich did not have the same taste and flavor from years past. Maybe we'll have to give them another try sometime in the future. I wish them luck in their brick and mortar location! read more

Hidden gem in Glendale! SI Roma is an unassuming spot tucked away in an alley walkway, sharing a space with Pokitomik--but don't let that fool you. We ordered their namesake sandwich, and it absolutely delivered. The bread was perfectly crunchy on the outside and soft on the inside, making it the ideal foundation for the sandwich. The pesto, cheese, meat, and tomato were all well-balanced, incredibly fresh, and full of flavor. You can really taste the high-quality ingredients in every bite. Simple, thoughtfully made, and delicious. If you're in Glendale and looking for a standout sandwich, SI Roma is a must-try. Highly recommend! read more

Located inside Pokitomik, right next to boba time, to make finding the place easier! The sandwiches were fire!!! I feel like they offer something different than most sandwich places and it's definitely worth a try! I got the Si Roma and the Americano, I feel like Si Roma was the winner for me and I added grilled peaches to the sandwich 10/10 . The Americano is a very hearty, throw in all the meat kinda sandwich, also very tasty! Sako is the sandwich master and super helpful! read more

I love the sandwiches! The bread was so soft. I didn't finish the whole sandwich, so I ate it the next day, and it still tasted great. The cheese, sauce, and meat were amazing. They use legit cheese and salami, definitely authentic. This isn't just a typical sandwich you'd get at a regular restaurant or Subway. I'm genuinely impressed by how good it was. They serve Sicilian soda and juice. We got a cannoli and pistachio cake. They weren't very sweet. Something felt missing in the flavor, but I can't know what it is. I'm not a big fan of the dessert. The place is clean, with tables and chairs available. Lastly, they have great customer service, super friendly and welcoming staff. read more

Look, every once in a while, you stumble upon a place that cuts through the bs. A place that isn't trying to be the next big thing, just the real thing. In the sprawling, often soulless landscape of L.A. strip malls, finding a spot with a genuine pulse is a minor miracle. Let me tell you about a miracle I found in Glendale, of all places, tucked away like a secret worth keeping. It's called Sì Roma, and it's a full-throated, passionate "YES!" to what a real Italian sandwich should be. This isn't just another sandwich joint. Forget it. Sì Roma is one man's fanatical obsession with authentic Italian street food, playing out on a canvas of fresh-baked stirato bread. It's a ghost kitchen with the soul of a Roman rosticceria, operating out of a Pokitomik in the Glendale Marketplace. You read that right. You go for raw fish, you stay for the prosciutto. It's the kind of beautiful, chaotic logic I can get behind. The man behind the counter is Johnny. He's not some corporate suit who saw a gap in the market; food is in his blood, passed down from a restaurateur Nonno. This whole thing was born from a pandemic-fueled pilgrimage. Johnny sold his house, flew to Sicily, and immersed himself in the coastal traditions of his heritage. He even did a stint at a Buddhist monastery--not for enlightenment, but because it was cheap--all in the relentless pursuit of the perfect panino. He wrestled with a cursed food truck that seemed to break down on principle before finding his current home. That struggle is important. It's a story you can taste. And that story gets real on the menu--a tight, focused collection of hits built on a foundation of impeccable ingredients. The meats are sliced to order. The cheeses, like the glorious, creamy stracciatella, are imported straight from Italy. Start with the Sì Roma Deluxe, the one people whisper about. It's a masterpiece of salty Prosciutto di Parma, the dual-threat creaminess of fresh Mozzarella and Stracciatella, bright tomatoes, and then the curveball: grilled peaches. It sounds wrong. It feels wrong. But your first bite tells you it's so, so right. The sweetness cuts through the fat and salt, creating something sublime. Don't sleep on the rest of the lineup, either--creations like "The Hungry Terrone" showcase gods of the cured meat world like Prosciutto Cotto and Pistachio Mortadella, each one a testament to the fact that simplicity, when done with perfect ingredients, is unbeatable. Forget that green sludge in a jar you call pesto. Johnny makes three distinct, nut-free versions from scratch: a classic Genovese, a fiery Calabrese, and a deep, earthy Olive. They're revelations. And if you walk out of there without a chocolate shell cannoli, you've failed the mission. It's the perfect endnote: a crisp, dark chocolate shell giving way to a rich ricotta filling that isn't sickeningly sweet. It's balanced. It's honest. Just like everything else here. "Sì Roma" is more than a name; it's an affirmation. "Yes, Rome!" It's a nod to doing things the right way, the old way. Johnny's odyssey--from selling his home to bunking with monks--isn't just a quirky backstory. It's the spirit of the place. It's the dedication that separates a good sandwich from a truly great one. So, here's the final word. If you're tired of limp, overpriced sandwiches and you crave something made with passion and integrity, you need to find this place. It's a culinary "Yes!" in a world full of "maybes." It's proof that sometimes, the best things are found where you least expect them. Just go. You won't regret it. read more

Food was beyond expectations, very fresh and high quality! We did have some trouble locating the place as they are operating out of PokiTomik without a sign of their own. Don't miss out on this gem read more

This sandwich shop proves that greatness lies in the details. From the moment you walk in and talk to the owner from the time you take your first bite, it's clear--every element has been thoughtfully crafted. The bread is toasted to perfection--crisp on the outside, warm and airy inside--setting the stage for the bold, well-balanced flavors to play together in perfect harmony. No single ingredient overpowers the others; instead, each component brings something to the table, making every bite feel intentional and satisfying. While the sandwiches are slightly smaller than your typical Subway or Jersey Mike's sub, the quality here is unmatched. Each ingredient is packed with flavor, elevating what could be a simple lunch into something far more memorable--more "gourmet-tier" fast casual than grab-and-go. The cherry on top? A curated selection of A'Siciliana sodas--crisp, refreshing, and the perfect companion to these next-level sandwiches. It's the kind of place that makes you rethink what a sandwich can be and resets your expectations. read more

Sì Roma - Chef's Special - Italian Near Me - Glendale, California

A food truck (or bus?) located in a lot close to, if not in the downtown Glendale area. They specialize in Italian sandwiches (and more specifically, Italian panini). They have a simple menu and friendly service. During my visit, the ambiance was pretty chill. I came a little later in the afternoon so it wasn't busy at all. I was able to sit down at the table and enjoy my sandwich in a relaxed atmosphere. I ended up ordering the Hungry Terrone combo. This sandwich had pistachio mortadella in it and it sounded delicious. I'm happy to say that the sandwich was indeed really delicious and it had a nice crunch and texture. Great ratio on all the ingredients as well. I got some peppers on the side for a little extra kick. Really great sandwiches here and I want to come back and try the deluxe. read more

Excellent sandwiches that anyone can and will enjoy. The sandwiches aren't so "mind blowing" that there is anything unique or different here, but they are just down right solid good simple sandwiches. I did not get his name but the main man taking orders and helping customers could not have been nicer, he was super helpful and attentive to everyone. We ordered the Si Roma Deluxe, Si Roma, and Terrone sandwiches along with a cannoli. Let me say first - that cannoli is one of the best in LA! The bread was warmed for all sandwiches and that really just makes a sandwich so much better. The Si Roma Deluxe is definitely the best of the three sandwiches we ordered. The sliced peaches and prosciutto parma are just a match made in heaven, especially with pesto and pecorino cheeses. The Si Roma was a bit simpler and "classic" copa and cheese sandwich. This one could've used a lot more pesto. Lastly the Terrone was also like the Si Roma - just a classic, simple, straightforward mortadella sub. read more

My new paisanos; Johnny, Jacob, and Edward! Johnny and his staff catered our party for 50 persons, and they were the talk of the town! Made to order sandwiches with the freshest bread, meats, cheeses, vegetables, and spreads, piled sky high! One sandwich could easily be shared between two people! They were on time, dressed appropriately, safely handled foods with gloves, and brought their entire set up for toasting and refrigeration. I am glad I got a chance to try out this food truck off the corner of Lexington and Central. I discovered this place off of TikTok and boy did it not disappoint. I ordered their Sì Roma Deluxe Sandwich. Their website says that it consists of "Prosciutto Di Parma on A Toasted Italian Baguette With Homemade Pesto, Sicilian Pecorino Cheese, Signature Tomato Mix, And Sweet Peaches." The sweet peaches really tied the flavors all together. I love that the baguette was toasted as it added a crunch dimension to the sandwich. The only thing that was odd is that I was waiting for my sandwich in the parking lot as cars kept driving in and out of the paid parking lot. It was no more than a 10 minute wait for my sandwich after I had ordered it. read more

Took my family here for dinner and it did not disappoint! I was craving a good sandwich and saw this place online. The pictures looked really good and I love thinly sliced deli meat. We tried four sandwiches here, the americano, si roma, hungry something and the turkey one. They were all good but the whole family agreed the americano was the winner! We came home craving the sandwich that's how delicious it was. The place is kinda hard to find because they have no sign. The poke place is si roma. Two in one shop but don't let that scare you away the sandwiches were good. I think the place is still in the works cause the smell of burnt bread was strong and they do not have proper ventilation. Overall we'll be returning in the future. read more

Everyone loves a hidden gem, unique eatery and delicious food! Si Roma has it all...and when I say "all" I also mean impeccable customer service. The care that Johnny and his team has doesn't only come across in their high quality in ingredients but the extra mile they go to make it right for a customer. They are prompt & professional. I've tried two of their sandwiches and they have a unique oil mixture that give them a unique flavor. Everything is so fresh, so flavorful, toasted to perfection and portioned just right. AND THE CANNOLIS. Wow. I don't like cannolis but I do like these! It kind of reminds me of a choco-taco if you remember those. Chocolate shell inside & out, delicious cream & chocolate chips. I'd come back just for this! I do wish there were a few more tables for more customers to enjoy their sandwich in the beautiful California sun! When I say this sandwich is worth every penny... I got the turkey allora the bread tasted like it was just made and toasted to perfection, the turkey was so thinly shaved and layered perfectly, the tomato was fresh and ripe, the fresh cheese was creamy and added a balance to the flavors, but the real star of this sandwich was the pesto. It's lemony and fresh and you can tell it's made on site. Literally the most perfect sandwich I've ever had in my life. read more

Molto Bene! Great sandwich: portion, ingredient quality, ratios all ideal. Quick and courteous service: they keep 'em crankin and rarely wait more than 5 minutes. Even in the rush. Ambience: they do great in making the best of a limited situation. Table, chairs under the shade of a big tree. But it's toasty on the blacktop. Happy we don't have to chase them to find their sandwiches. Can't wait for their success to continue and they get a permanent spot somewhere. read more

Trekked to Glendale for the sandwiches that are getting raves. Cute truck in a small parking lot on a busy street. Street parking easy to find on surrounding streets. Had the salami (toasted) and the mortadella (untoasted) + a cannoli. Sandwiches are so much about the bread and this bread was unexpected. A bit more of a softish baguette, long with a hint of sourdough. The toppings were ample and the pesto was just right. Good moisture and flavor. Quality ingredients. Definitely a 4*. Highly recommend getting them "toasted," which means they toast the interior of the bread before building the sandwich. This gives extra texture which helps elevate it overall. Cannoli belonged to my friend but it got good reviews. Next time I will try the Si Roma Deluxe, which has the addition of peaches. It seemed to be the most popular sandwich and certainly different. read more
