My husband and I returned to Divina Cucina last night for dinner and we are thrilled to report just how wonderful our dinner was. our server recommended a fabulous salad with pears, prosciutto, burrata, and pecans, it was delicious. My husband had the chicken parmigiana and it was amazing, cooked to perfection. I had the saffron risotto and swordfish special which was also amazing, great flavor!! I'm not Italian, but I'm beginning to think their cuisine makes me wish I was. This place does a lot of things well, but the way our food came out, I could write a novel about the art of beautifully plated food. Our waiter was almost absurdly attentive, making sure my arnold palmer was near bottomless, and literally every dish we ordered, I would have licked the plate were it not considered so crass. However, with every bite of food, I felt myself breathing a sigh of relief there was still so much to try. I could go on and on about how well the plates had their flavors very well planned, and while I would love too, sometimes it's best to let the pictures do the talking this time. The cheese in my burrata and mozzarella pizza paired very nicely with some olive oil and I'll admit I was delighted they had these balsamic vinegar and Oliver oil glass containers to pour from that were so charming. To top it off, the place is beautifully designed. A little summer heat never killed anyone, but it was such a nice day to enjoy good food. I don't think there is a mediocre Italian restaurant. Either it's good or bad. The ambience is very quaint. The service is very good. Parking is challenging. The food not so good. The pasta was so chewy I couldn't continue eating. Didn't want to ask them to take it back and cause a fuss since we were guests of others. Bruschetta was soggy. The Calamari sauce was very tomatoey. The Cesar salad was nothing special. I can make a better one at home. If they improve the food drastically , and offer a better parking accommodations, I would think it would be worth to give it a try. read more

Love this place! The food is pretty good but the service could get very slow depending on how busy it is. I came for Christmas Eve so they had a Christmas Eve Menu if you wanted to get something from there. My favorite from here is their Gnocchi with Pink Sauce. It's super flavorful and filling even though there is a small amount. It is pretty pricey but the food is great! It is perfect for a cute date night or a family meal for a celebration/ or just to relax! The tiramisu was a little disappointing to me sadly and did not stand out. I was expecting it to be a bit better. The scallops were also a bit on the chewier side which is not my cup of tea. But overall, their pasta is great (I recommend to try it) read more

Extremely friendly service, with a very charming covered patio (equipped with heaters, and fans for the warm days). Every dish we ordered was delicious and ample portions. We love this adorable Italian restaurant in Montrose. Not only does it have a European ambience inside, but the staff is so friendly and welcoming, especially our waiter, Nacho. At this visit, we ordered their special Seafood Pasta with pink vodka sauce, Pappardelle Arrabiata, Veal Piccata, and Margherita Pizza. As always, the food was delicious, fresh, and plentiful! Divina was on my list of places to visit. It had been years since I had been there. It is a charming restaurant. The service was personable and super kind. The food was good nothing I ate was incredible. I think the chopped salad was great. I thought the price for a soda was crazy. I think I will give this place another shot. Parking: a bit strange. Their parking lot runs around the building, and if you're early enough, you can get a parking along the side. Atmosphere: a big tight on space, but cozy Service: terrific Food: everything was great. I had never before tried linguine and clams, so I went out to Montrose to try it for the first time. Divina Cucina has officially gotten me hooked on that dish. The pasta was fresh and perfectly al dente. The clams were also very fresh, and there were so many of them! The sauce was absolutely delicious, light yet flavorful. The servers bring a huge block of Parmesan to your table and will grate as much as you want. Other recommendations of delicious dishes I've tried at this restaurant: - carpaccio - Sea bass - gnocchi I love their little outdoor patio, with heat lamps and sweet decor. Servers have terrific flair and take a lot of pride intheir restaurant. Montrose is a beautiful little town, and in my opinion, Divina Cucina is a restaurant well worth the drive. read more

The soup that day was cream of asparagus. What was a fabulous creation was slightly marred by oversalting of the soup. It was served nice and hot. Entree portions are generous. The tiny clams in the linguine with clam sauce tasted either frozen or canned. There was sand in the tiny bites and they did not bear the sweet, fresh taste and plumpness of the clams I have had elsewhere. I would add chopped Italian parsley to the dish for more flavor and color as is the custom in the traditional dish. This beautiful restaurant with terra cotta type flooring, wine bottles tastefully displayed and warm wood accents everywhere has such charm. Ignacio was our waiter and he thinks of eveyrthing to make the meal just perfect. The quiche was delicious served with roast potatoes & a variety of fresh cut fruit. Our other dish spaghetti bolognese is really a signature dish with such flavor. The meal always starts with a little amuse bouche (a tasty toast topped with a yummy topping.) Follow up visit and had another wonderful experience. Stopped in for dinner on a Sunday evening, making reservations a couple hours ahead. No wait upon arrival. This time, we sat in the inside dining area. Immediately welcomed by the staff, who once again took really good care of us. Nacho assisted us and he was fantastic...service is really excellent! DRINKS: Started with a couple cocktails off of the "Artisanal Cocktail" list, which are still $17. This time we tried a Classic Lemondrop, and a Negroni. Both were well made. We also added a glass of La Crema Chardonnay ($12), which was a good pour. FOOD: The menu is extensive, as well as a list of "daily specials". To start, we received a complimentary breadbasket, in addition to toast points with olive tapenade. For our entrées, we had the Pollo Milanese ($28), topped with arugula, thinly sliced baby artichokes, and shaved pecorino cheese; the Pollo alla Parmigiana ($28), which had a beautifully, crispy crust and loaded with melted, gooey mozzarella cheese; and Pasta di Mare Special ($38), loaded with seafood over spinach linguini. Portions are big, and we had enough to take home for a second meal. We finished it all off by sharing a slice of Cheesecake ($12) with a strawberry sauce...delicious! From start to finish, everything was perfection but what really made our night was our fantastic server, Alfredo. He was warm, knowledgeable, and attentive. The mozzarella marinara was crispy on the outside, melty on the inside, and paired with a fresh marinara. For our main course, we ordered pasta, and it was cooked to absolute perfection. This place had a full house on a Wednesday evening. Usually a sign of good food. We had a group of 8 people. We enjoyed several appetizers: fried mozzarella, bruschetta, and a mushroom dish. The bruschetta was especially good. The fried cheese was unique. Like a large triangle of cheese, fried up. It was good, but too much in my opinion. Better to have bitesize chunks. I ordered the eggplant parmigiana with veggies. It came with a few pieces of zucchini and purple mashed potatoes. The mashed potatoes were a bit weird, not much flavor. The zucchini was hardly noticeable. Not sure why restaurants treat vegetables like an afterthought. The eggplant parmigiana was mediocre at best. Thanks to a UYE with Yelp friends in August, 2023, I thought I found one of the best places for Italian food in SoCal. Back for dinner with close work friends recently, and my excitement for Divina Cucina has been confirmed! 5 stars!!!!! Divina Cucina has amazing, delicious food, and I will definitely be back pretty soon. You cannot go wrong with the Filetto Gorgonzolla, the Pollo alla Parmigiana, or the Pasta di Mare (which was one of their specials on both trips I dined). The Angus beef tenderloin was cooked to perfection, a succulent medium-rare perfectly complimented by a rich and yummy Gorgonzolla sauce. The Chicken Parm was as cheesy-goodness delicious if you're not into beef; it was accompanied by perfectly cooked al dente pasta. Last but not least, if you're feeling like seafood, the seafood pasta offers a pasta with a rich sauce with a mound of delectable clams, mussels, salmon, and squid. Both group of Yelp friends at the UYE and my group of close work friends greatly enjoyed their meals, and I am so looking forward to coming back to try out other dishes from the really extensive menu. Equally impressive as the food at Divina Cucina is the staff. From the moment you step inside, you're not just a guest; you feel like a regular or even family. The staff is very super welcoming and friendly. Our server in particular had an amazing sense of humor and guided us through the extensive offerings in the menu. The food and staff at Divina Cucina makes this restaurant worthy of 5 stars, even though parking is very limited. Only a limited number parallel parking spots that winds around the restaurant is available, and if the restaurant is busy, chances are that you'll have to look for street parking. No valet service is available.
