I don't know what took me so long to try this spot but I'm so glad I finally did. It's located inside the Framers Market at the Grove tucked toward the back in a corner. I ordered the Tagliatelle Black Squid Ink and it was cooked perfectly. The white wine sauce was rich and the calamari was extremely tender, probably the best I've ever had. The Pappardelle Pesto Burrata ($22) has a surprisingly light pesto sauce that was really nice over the thick noodle, a splash of basil and the burrata! Oh~em~gee~the burrata! I live for cheese and as an aficionado of the white gooey ball that is burrata, I do declare this a real good one! I would get this dish over and over again. I actually have gotten it twice already, lol. Spaghetti with meatballs was good, but with others that were amazing, I'd skip it. Pasta Corner has some coupons through their app, too! It's ok. Could be better. Went there with my kid I got tagliatelle vongole and Alfredo for my kid. She loved it I think it could had used a little more salt and I'm sure that's likely the case with all their pastas. The vongole tasted nice but was gritty and literally sand was in the sauce. I'm confused how these clams were so sandy. I feel like most stores and fishmongers really de grit their clams before you buy them pretty well. I buy clams a lot in LA to make at home and I've never experienced a sandy clam here. So this was disappointing. My daughter loved the pappardelle noodles which are basically like double-wide fettuccine and my son liked the rigatoni. We got the three meatballs, but neither kid really ate them because of how they were spiced. My daughter got the pesto, but they were out of the burrata (which she wouldn't have liked, but I would have), so gave us a mozzarella ball instead. I'm very picky about my pesto and make my own at home regularly and this pesto wasn't disappointing, but was a bit thin and not as garlicky as I like. It also took ~5 minutes longer for the pasta to come out than it took to walk over, order Asian noodles and get the Asian noodles. The pasta was delicious. Customer service sucked. I sat at the counter and I was not aware that you had to go to register and self serve. I asked the cashier for the menu and it took her 5 mins to hand me the menu to look at. She was not busy at the register. I sat at the counter and then I had a question about the pasta and one of the nice employees answered my question and he took my order for the pasta. He also gave me some water. The pasta came out promptly and it was delicious. Then after eating I waited and waited for the ticket to pay for my pasta. After 10 mins I asked the cashier for the ticket. She couldn't find the ticket and she looked through some dirty dishes and old tickets and she finally found the ticket. She gave me a paper with something hand written words with pen. So I asked her for an itemized ticket so I knew what I was paying for. She seemed confused. She started crying which was so weird to me. She told me "it was simple math" the total was $30. I just wanted to know the pasta price plus $6 for truffle added. I finally just gave her my credit card so she can stop crying. Weird experience and disappointed that customer service was not the best by the cashier. If cashier was confused about "itemized bill" she should've asked the manager to help instead of having me wait and wait. The other employee was so nice and helpful and he never said go place your order at register or go get your own water/self serve. I don't think I will be going back to this place again. read more
