However, chicken Karaage is a bit weak and bland. Without the sauce, it cannot stand alone. *Black Cod: perfectly grilled with crunchy skin and a light buttery sauce. Fish is cooked just right. *Jumbo Rice Prawn: interesting jumbo prawns. I suspected that the end piece would be just starch without prawn but to my surprise, I was mistaken! It used to be that there was a physical stamp card and in order to get the stamp, you'd have to finish every last drop in your bowl every time you come to visit. Seems like they are doing away with that system and replacing it with a digital rewards system. Our server helped to transfer what was on my physical card over to my new digital account on the app. Now with the app, I just have to show a QR code instead of the stamp card, and although the restaurant would probably prefer us all to still finish every last drop in our bowl, it seems that is no longer an absolute requirement for getting our "stamp" in the app. I like this new direction that they've taken!

My husband ordered a bowl of Ramen noodles and shared it with our daughter. He ate most of the ramen along with one Onigiri; she had two Onigiris and a small bowl of his ramen noodles. They shared one of the free Veggie Miso Soups. I had 3 Onigiris and one bowl of Veggie Miso Soup. The Onigiris we ordered: Tuna Takowasa Teriyaki Chicken x Avocado Tuna Mayo x Avocado Nasu Peperoncino Seared Cheese x Shiso with Tuna Mayo Filling Seared Cheese x Shiso with Unagi Filling Heard the Teriyaki Chicken Onigiri was "meh". My daughter and husband both said there was something in it that tasted kinda weird. I thought my Nasu Peperoncino Onigiri was also kinda "meh." It had an eggplant filling in it. Instead I found some pretty sizeable chunks of daikon and mushroom in my bowl, along with quite a few strips of carrot as well. Not the first time I've seen a restaurant skimp on the filling for an Onigiri. Love that you can dine in and eat these Onigiris warm instead of cold from a refrigerator. The Ramen according to my husband was "meh". Kind of a shame as I recall that years ago, when this shop first started out in the West End and was called Marutama, their Ramen was awesome.
