We have been ordering on Tuesday to satisfy our "fast food Tuesday" habit, instead of getting food from a chain. The food is so good, even the kids like it. Consistent quality, tastes great, wonderful service. We are trying different items each week, and no disappointments here, only good food. Eh... Wasn't that great. I really don't understand the 5 stars for this place. I guess it's a local thing. We were driving up from Georgia to Kentucky and looking for a place to stop for breakfast. We decided to eat here based on the reviews on Yelp. The fact that it's an old Pizza hut building should have been a red flag. When we walked in we were not greeted. The place wasn't that busy. We just took some menus off the wall and sat down. As both waitresses ignored us. Eventually a waitress came by and took our drink order. We noticed when other customers came in and sat down the waitress brought them menus so I guess that's how it goes. Finally, we ordered our food. I got a "premium" breakfast which consisted of eggs, hashbrowns, grilled chicken, and biscuits. While we were waiting another table came and sat down.. We kept waiting and waiting for our order and the new table that sat down got their food before us... Our food came and the hashbrowns were meager in portion, but the eggs were good and so were the biscuits. The grilled chicken was gross. It was two tenders that looked like they were made in a microwave. No seasoning at all. I spit out the piece I tried as I was afraid of getting sick. (I could just picture the raw chicken laying in the freezer for weeks.) It seemed everyone in the restaurant knew each other as one large party kept going around to every table to strike up a conversation. Including the table next to mine, so I had a large butt in overalls standing two-feet from my face while I finished up eating. Overall, we wished we had went to IHOP. read more

"Home cookin'" is right out of the can or the freezer. Edible, but nothing to write home about. Tried it and never went back. I travel to Gallatin, Lafayette and Springfield regularly to eat. Seven days a week ! Not to mention Rivergate and Mt Juliette. Be nice to get some really good food in Franklin. I frequently go to Glasgow for a terrific meal at the Gondolier. Louisville has some great food and I am there frequently. I absolutely refuse to do take out ! Ain't eatin' in the car !!!!! You want my money ? Open the doors and serve me. Take off the masks !! Biscuits and gravy we're good enough to make me want to drive back here again. Staff was very pleasant and welcoming. Bacon was excellent. The right amount of crisp and thick. My only complaint would be that I didn't like the local smoked sausage they had. Prob just my preference. Would definitely recommend and know it would not disappoint. read more

First of all, I'm very particular about my fish, which is why I usually never order catfish. Not because I don't like it, but because it usually never prepared well. That certainly wasn't the case here. This may have been the best catfish I ever had. The greens were awesome so were the hush puppies. For what this place is I give it a 5. Really nice people. A meat and 3 sides for $6.50 and blackberry cobbler for 3 bucks. Can't beat that in Franklin KY. I really enjoyed it. Great value. Clean place. Nice server and fast in and out. Booya, try it out for sure. We were camping and the owner suggested it here at Dads Bluegrass Campground which is a great place as well. read more

The Pancake Panty in Nashville could learn a few things here. The pecan pancakes are superior to any I have had hands down. The rest of the breakfast was well made and everything was hot and delicious; although they don't serve the grits with cheese like Southern folks. The staff was attentive and pleasant, the place is clean and neat, I will be back for breakfast as often as possible, and will try them out for lunch sometime soon. read more

You receive homestyle cooking at this restaurant. I loved the food when Martha, one of the cooks, worked there...her food was delicious.

You can taste the frozen food. Not always hot. And food is kinda bland. I don't recommend going here there are plenty of other options.

The restaurant seems to be popular with the locals. It was definitely a better alternative to fast food after driving for so many hours. The food could have been a bit seasoned but I admit my taste buds might be different from the local clientele. The staff is definitely friendly and the food came in a timely fashion. The food was awful. I ordered a chicken salad sandwich, my friend ordered their chicken and dressing. I bit into a bone twice and I only ate five bites! My friend also had bones in the shredded chicken that they put on top of a mound of dressing. We both quit eating after just a few bites. Will never go back. Hi I was in Franklin Kentucky last week and decided to go to Rylayns a second time.this is a cozy little Restaurant has a lot of potential. The Frist time we visited I ordered chicken and waffles, I was shocked it was three little chicken strips they were hard as a rock, couldn't it them even soaking them in water. I was really disappointed. I live good chicken and waffles. So again on 8/2021 I was visiting in Kentucky again went back to Rylayns again ordered pancakes and sausage patties. I was so disappointed again the pancakes were so dry and crumbly could barley get it on the fork. The sausage patties were cooked a little hard but the flavor was descent. This Restaturant has a lot of potential they need to up there game, on cooking, to have some really good food. They do have good Ice Tea I probably won't go back for a while sorry Rylanys improve your food and cooking skills and you could have a very good business so for now I have to pass on going back. read more

Simple home style food for little money. I had fried chicken, mashed potatoes and gravy, beans, hash brown casserole and cornbread, all for under $7. Food was pretty good, not great. Waitstaff were somewhat friendly, never asked how my food was (even though they asked other tables). Bathroom was gross, definitely needs some work. read more

FIVE STARS!! This is a place with delicious home cooking. I had the grilled catfish, steamed broccoli and mashed potatoes. It was all so good. The potatoes were homemade and so flavorful. I got two huge pieces of flakey spicy covered fish. It was hit and wonderful. read more

I literally could have gone to the store and made a whole pan of tacos while I was waiting. My neighbors recommended this place... I didn't even get my food. I left after about 30 minutes of waiting on BBQ tacos. Seriously something that would take minutes to throw together. I was not impressed. When I told my waiter to cancel my order that it was taking too long she just said okay and walked back to the kitchen and told them not to make it. They hadn't even started on my order. What a joke.
