A great small town dining experience. Milio's is in a repurposed storefront in the old part of Portland, TN. The open space has a homey and comfortable feel. There is plenty of space throughout the place. A well thought out menu gives provides for a variety of flavor profiles. The breakfast bowl was just right for me. Really enjoyed the green goddess dressing, a refressing flavor change. I ordered tea (no green available) and it came tot he table in a separate tea pot to steep. Been living in Portland for about 4 months now and never got a chance sat wt Milo's until this morning (been here for coffee several times). Today I had the Pumpkin Pie Latte. I had the Cali Bowl subbing the meat for chorizo. DELISH! Since I come from San Diego, I'm a VERY harsh critic of Mexican food. This bowl reminds me of there. It was so great. The chipotle side sauce was wonderful. Guacamole/avocado mash added the perfect creaminess. My dad had the Sample and that was just at great. Will definitely be ordering these again. read more

The type of ordering makes the service and this place easy to return to. Love siting down and ordering through the app. Despite having hard chairs, coming early in the morning gives the ambience a good calming place for breakfast, however it does fill up by 8am and gets pretty loud. Been eyeing this spot for a few weeks Decided to head there this morning. The menu has lots of tasty items. Today, I opted for the chilaquiles with verde sauce and added chorizo. Holy heck, absolutely perfect! Great flavor and great presentation as well. Ordered up a side of their breakfast potatoes, which are real and not frozen then deep fried. It's extremely loud. The waitress and food server barely spoke up and when you're eating with a family 70's and up, you have to SPEAK UP! No one, even me could not heat them. One of them advised that they could not have strawberries due to health issues and the waitress said "the berries are mixed together and you can pick them out". When the berries came, the strawberry slices were huge and there were only 2.....knowing it would make the woman sick to accidentally eat them, you couldn't simple pick those two out? Really? Great to know you care about your customers. The waitress was literally rushing us out of the place. One of the ladies was still eating and the waitress ask her for her plate! I ordered a BLT and it was the worst meal I've ever had. I are one bite of the sandwich and immediately tasted something tangy. No idea what would have been tangy but to me, tangy when there is Mayo, that tells me it may be bad so I attempted to eat the bacon separately. It was SUPER salty. The potatoes had a very strange flavor so I paid $13 for 4 bites of food. We were never offered any refills but did get them when we finally got her attention. All the food we have ordered here has been very good. It takes some time to get your order, which is fine as it's made to order and fresh. The service the two times we've been here is lacking. Not the friendliest. Both times has been uncomfortable waiting for someone to acknowledge us, while several people are behind the counter, some busy, some standing there. Coffee shop that serves breakfast all day and lunch. We stopped for lunch, not many selections in Portland. This was a very good selection. My daughter and I got the house burger. There were several selections but we were on the mood for a burger. The second good selection. They were very respectful and delicious burgers. Good bun, hand patted meat, good tomatoes, lettuce, house sauce, very good. Potatoes were grilled home style dices. Would have been great with onions and peppers grilled. Should have asked about chips, if they were hand made or bagged, listed on menu as "kettle" chips so assumed they were bagged. I don't know what I was expecting when I searched for breakfast places in the small town of Portland, but this was not it! It has a very clean, modern, family-friendly vibe. The breakfast menu has so many options for being a fairly-small cafe. I had the Hello Burrito (minus the meat) and it was stuffed! The house potatoes had a lovely herb blend and were cooked very well. I would absolutely come here again. My only complaint is that I am seated at a window bar (which is really quite lovely) but the barstools are very narrow and not comfortable at all, even for a small person like me. But I loved being able to enjoy watching the street outside! read more

My husband went in and ordered for me so I can't give you a full experience, but from what he said, it's worth checking this place out. I highly recommend the California Brunch Wrap. It's so so sooooo delicious that I'm thinkin I'll go back tomorrow for another one lol. The girl helped my husband out when he tried ordering me iced coffee by askin him what I liked. Myself and my family love this place! We usually place breakfast orders here at least once a week. We have never had an issues with the food or service. Over the last 2 years or so, during the pandemic, our order have almost exclusively been through the app for to-go meals and drinks.
