Okay, I'm not really too sure just WTF I just walked into, but I'm pretty pissed off. This one star goes to my server. She was the only thing good this entire trip. I just dropped $30 on this joke of a restaurant, look at my pictures, and tell me if I got anything even remotely close to what I just paid for. To start things off, I'm standing by the hostess station for 10 minutes, while one girl is counting her till. Doesn't even acknowledge me. My server finally comes from the back to seat me. She gets my Coke zero, and I ordered a spicy sizzling chicken skillet... Well I'm sitting there for about 10 minutes, and she comes out with my food in a to go container. She told me the cooks "thought my meal was to go", and if I wanted it on a plate. At this point, does it really make a difference? The to-go portions are half of what the regular portions are, so I don't know if they're just lazy and don't want to do dishes or they're trying to rip me off. So after I eat this crap, my waitress comes by with the ticket and I asked for the menu because I was still hungry because I didn't get the full amount of food that I would normally get on a skillet. So I ordered a grand slam breakfast for $7, and you can look at my pictures and see what I got. But that's not the thing, guess how it came out? IN A PLASTIC BOWL, IN A BAG, TO GO. DO YOU F**** IDIOTS NOT KNOW I'M DINING IN AT THIS POINT? ARE YOU JUST THAT LAZY OR ARE YOU JUST INCOMPETENT. PROBABLY A COMBINATION OF THE BOTH, AFTER ALL, YOU ARE A COOK FOR DENNY'S. I generally tip really well, and I always clean up after myself, but I was so pissed off, I just left the trash bag and all the other trash on the table. It's probably an indicator that I'm going to eat my SECOND meal, in the booth I'm sitting at, when all my silverware is still out. Whatever man. The manager guy said "come see us again".. yeah and that's all I'll do, looking at you through the window as I walk right past this place. I stop at this flying j often, but I won't be stopping in this Denny's ever again. 18 hours on the road, and can't even get a decent meal. Hard dried out link sausage, probably sitting under a heat lamp for long hours, and 2 small bacon strips. Besides the good coffee. What can go wrong? I was the only customer in that entire empty restaurant. The waitress forgot my toast and strawberry jelly. And let me know, my AARP membership of 15% discount is no longer being accepted. The Cook has to function as dishwasher, janitor, and cook at the same time. With my over the 40 years of hotel management experience. Every time new owners buy the properties, they cut corners so badly that over 250 closing Denny's is no problem. These equity owners have no Food and beverage experience and no Restaurant operator experience, then an awesome, great tax write-off. I made these two people aware, in finding new employment, cause there store is on the block of closing. As humans, you all must be ashamed of screwing employees and customers. Pulled up to Denny's, and we were immediately welcomed by maybe locals, maybe truckers, maybe gypsies, toking on cigarettes, and charging their iPhone 15s. Got sat down right away! Taken to a dirty table that was quickly cleaned with a wet dirty sock (I truly believe it was) and then very quickly dried with a handful of napkins. The server was quick to get our order after a short 15-minute wait. But forget all of that!! It's Dennys, and the Grand Slam choices are great no matter those other things!! No matter what Denny's you're at.... Right?? After a short 20-25 minute wait and our waitress never once coming to the table to refill my coffee or asking if anyone needed anything, the food was delivered!! And it was perfect! A Great American diner breakfast! Perfectly cooked eggs, excellent bacon, ham, sausage, and country fried steak, and pancakes that were light and fluffy! The review should be about 2.5 stars.
