Chain oriental food. Ok but nothing stood out. Tried it once, probably won't go back.

The service was a 10/10--truly superior. Our waitress was attentive, knowledgeable, and took the time to explain the menu and how almost everything could be ordered as shareable plates. The ambiance was also really nice and made it a great spot for trying several dishes and enjoying the evening. We ordered the plantains, duck tacos, sticky ribs, truffle mac & cheese, gnocchi, and crispy tuna. The STICKY RIBS were absolutely the star of the night! Crispy on the outside, moist and tender inside, plenty of meat, and packed with flavor. Oh my goodness...these alone are worth going back for! I already can't wait to have them again. The duck tacos were another favorite--well seasoned with a crispy wonton shell that gave them the perfect crunch. The crispy tuna was really tasty as well. The gnocchi had a little more sauce than I personally prefer, but it was still very good. The truffle mac & cheese was okay, but fairly average compared with some of the other dishes. The only dish I didn't enjoy was the plantains. They had a combination of sweet, salty, and a little spice that just didn't work for me. And don't skip the drinks! I had a frozen margarita that was DELICIOUS and the perfect addition to the meal. Overall, Kore was a great experience--from the service and atmosphere to several standout dishes. I'm definitely returning, especially for those sticky ribs! If you haven't tried Kore yet, add it to your Nashville list.

We were staying at an Airbnb in East Nashville recently and read about other's very positive…read moreexperiences at Kore so we decided to give it a try! :) Also because of recommendations, we made a reservation ahead of time! After some fairly lengthy confusion at the hostess stand, despite having had a confirmed reservation - it took quite a while for her to decide which table she wanted to give us out of the many open spots. She left us standing there, without explanation, to go put out the placements that seemed necessary to have set before we could sit, then finally came back to take us over to a spot - this didn't feel like a greatest start to the evening. It was very awkward. You know what they say, first impressions are important! Thankfully we were greeted by a very friendly waitress who was very knowledgeable about the menu, both food and drinks! She took great care of us throughout our meal. We dove in with drinks - A Sapporo, they have it on tap, and it's delicious! As well as an Old Fashioned! Both fantastic! It took us a little while to decide which food items we wanted to choose! This is a small plates restaurant so the options are numerous, they all sound so good!! We tried to pick at least one thing from of each category! We decided on the Kalbi dumplings, the Cauliflower, Kalbi Steak, the Crispy tuna, and Gochujang Mole. Every single dish was absolutely amazing and filled with the most rich, full flavors!! My absolute favorite was the crispy tuna! So delicious!! The mole dish - Chorizo, fingerling potato, red onion, red veined sorrel, crema was also next level exceptional! SO much flavor!! Something that was a little strange about our visit, and the reason for only giving 4 stars is this: We made our reservation off of the times offered by the restaurant. We chose 8:30 due to other things we had going on in our day - they offered as late as 8:45. This is the type of place that it's nice to work slowly through the menu and try a few dishes and then order a few more, etc... Unfortunately, right after we placed our initial order we were informed that we would need to have all of our food AND drink orders or refills in to the kitchen within the next 10 mins as the kitchen would be closing. This was too rushed and disappointing for what we were planning on for our dinner. We wished that the restaurant would have been more clear about this when we made the reservation, or at least when we first began perusing the menu. We did not have enough time for what we would have preferred and did not end up ordering any more food or drinks, as we definitely would have - however, what we did try was worth it! I would just HIGHLY suggest going earlier in the evening, much longer before they close!!

We're new to the area and have been exploring local restaurants to find favorites worth revisiting…read more We celebrated my birthday with Sunday brunch at Noko, noting the occasion on our OpenTable reservation. The food and service were excellent. The Noko All-Star breakfast offered a satisfying mix of classic favorites, while the burnt-ends rice bowl was outstanding. The Brussels had perfectly charred edges and a flavorful sesame dressing, and the brisket French dip featured tender, delicious brisket. Our server also surprised me with a Dole Whip for my birthday--a creamy, refreshing treat and the perfect finishing touch. What truly set Noko apart happened a couple of days later, when someone from the restaurant called to thank me for dining with them and ask whether I had enjoyed my birthday celebration. I've dined at countless restaurants, but I've never experienced such thoughtful personal follow-up. That gesture speaks volumes about Noko's hospitality and moved it straight to the top of our list of Nashville favorites. Noko, thank you for making my birthday feel special--even days later!

We started with a few cocktails and all of them were really good. For appetizers, we got the burrata with peach jam and grilled peaches, which was recommended by Farron. The burrata was super creamy, and the peach jam added a nice hint of sweetness. The hamachi crudo was also good. The spicy tuna crispy rice was one of the better ones I've had. The rice was crispy on the outside and soft inside without being mushy. For our mains, we decided to get the burnt end bowl but couldn't decide on another dish. Farron suggested the beef brisket sandwich, and I'm glad he did. The brisket was succulent and fatty, served on soft, fluffy bread that soaked up all the au jus. The au jus reminded me of a beefier pho broth. The burnt ends were sweet and salty but paired really well with the rice, fresh carrots and pickles. The Dole Whip soft serve was also excellent. Since we were celebrating a birthday, they also gave us a scoop of ube ice cream. It was super creamy and rich. I wasn't planning on ordering it, so I'm glad I got to try it because it was really good. Everything was really good, and I'd definitely come back to try more of the menu.

The server, whose name was Kam, was most gracious, and did his best to make sure we made knowledgeable choices about what we ordered, and he was attentive after we had our order. My partner had the chicken noodle soup, and it had such a fabulous broth and was full of noodles and shredded chicken. I had to have several spoonfuls of it myself. I chose the vermicelli with beef and an eggroll. Each table was equipped with soy sauce, sriracha, chili pepper oil, and Hoisin sauce. The overall lighting, ambiance, and cultural appeal of the restaurant is pleasant. I noticed that we had quality (not wooden) chopsticks instead of American utensils, but I'm sure they have forks for the picky or clumsy folks. I cannot eat Asian food without using chopsticks; it just isn't the same. His soup featured one of those lovely china/porcelain spoons with a glorious absence of metal. Possibly the only thing about this entire meal I could offer suggestion for improvement is the tiny scrumptious eggroll could have been larger. However, the servings overall were generous and reasonably priced. I even have a small to-go box of noodles for tomorrow. Additionally, I got to try my very first BOBA tea! I am not sure why they call it tea because it's more like a slushy with those little Boba balls and a wide straw. There are 15 different flavors offered, including avocado (which I was not brave enough to try). I had banana, and it was very good. I thought it mildly pricey at $4.50 but novelty drinks usually have novelty prices. I really wish we had visited this restaurant before, but as I said, we will be returning. I was concerned because there were only a couple other tables during our entire visit, although it was toward closing time on a Tuesday evening. I encourage everyone to try this restaurant!

I usually stay away from pho at Thai spots, but my husband ordered it and it was actually really good, with a flavorful broth that surprised us both. My favorite dish of the night was the Panang Curry. I haven't had Thai curry in years because it's been so disappointing in middle TN, but I decided to give this one a shot and I'm so glad I did. It tasted fresh, the sweet coconut milk came through without being heavy, and the chicken was incredibly tender. They don't skimp on meat or portions here - we left full and happy. We'll definitely be back. Sorry I don't have photos. As soon as I saw the food, I could tell it was authentic and got too excited!

I got summer rolls & a small veggie Tom Kha Gai soup. I got everything to go. I went to my iron infusion at Vanderbilt Hendersonville then waited until I was hooked up & alone to eat. When I saw my food I was kinda shocked. $20 for about six bites of summer rolls & five to six tablespoon fulls of soup was disappointing. These rolls are the smallest I've ever seen. There was so much rice paper & so little filling! The soup was not a favorite either as it was extremely sweet. Tom Kha can be sweet, but this was like sugary milk water. There were hardly any veggies in the tiny styrofoam cup as well. All in all, the best part of this experience was the lady who took my order. Everything else could have been avoided & will in the future.
