After complaining about having no good quick lunch options in rino for many moons, I stand corrected. I work about a block away from Rye Society and finally stopped in for a sandwich a couple of weeks ago. The people are so nice and the pickup orders are on a shelf ready to rock. I love their ciabatta because it isn't crispy. I hate a super crunchy sandwich. Give me the fluff!! Veggies are fresh. Get the horseradish aoli (maybe double), it's my favorite part. A surprise win? the sweet potato salad as a side instead of chips. I was honestly shocked by how much I liked this. They've somehow manage to make slightly crunchy cold sweet potatoes in dressing an absolute hit. The pickle on the side is a bonus too. The first time I picked it up for lunch I dropped my pickle on the floor at work and I'm still upset tbh. Most of the sandwiches end up being somewhere in the $15 - $18 range, but that's expected in this neighborhood. i was too hungry to get good photos but i am truly happy about this one!! read more

I feel like they've been around for forever, and I've been coming here for years to order any corned beef or pastrami sandwich they have on the menu. Gf was feeling sick so I was on the hunt for a homemade matza ball soup. Rye society did not disappoint. It felt like I was back in my heavily Jewish populated hometown of Boca Raton Florida. Soup and matza had Very good flavor and the large pickle really sealed the deal for me. I will def be back to try the pastrami and rye. Staf was very courteous. The even double boxed the soup and Seran wrapped it to make sure there was no spillage during transport . Yooooo this place is so good!! The special was the chicken Caesar wrap and it was the best I've ever had. Perfect amount of dressing, and everything was chopped and mixed well. It was also pretty big! I ate half and saved the other half for later. Also got a basic turkey cheese and mayo on ciabatta, tough to mess this up but they hit it out of the park. If there's one society I actually want to be a part of, it's Rye Society. This New York-style deli in RiNo seriously impressed me with its stacked sandwiches, comforting soup, and one of the best chocolate chip cookies I've had in a long time. Here's what I tried: The #18 - Steamed pastrami, slaw, Russian dressing, Swiss, on toasted rye. Absolutely killer. The pastrami was tender and packed with flavor. This is the one I'll be coming back for. Cold Cut Combo - Salami, bologna, ham, provolone, LTO, garlic aioli, and herb vinaigrette on ciabatta. Great balance and super satisfying. Matzah Ball Soup - My first ever matzo ball soup (!!) and I totally get the hype now. Chocolate Chip Cookie - Fresh-baked daily, and honestly? One of the best I've had. Top 5 material, maybe even top 3. The space has a clean, modern vibe while still feeling classic and cozy. Stopped in for a quick bite and was not disappointed. Service was quick and the food was great. The power bowl is a lot of food so you could probably split it between two people. We ate outside we had our dog, which was ok but not a dedicated outdoor seating area. Definitely more of a casual stop with a friend type place. read more

I genuinely think this may be the best bagel I've had in Denver. No joke. It absolutely beats Rosenburgs. The service was great (shoutout Tony, such a gem of a human!) The spot is cozy and clean and the music is perfection. I love the little details like the VS lotion and perfume in the restroom for customers to freshen up with. There is a few high price points on the menu but I'm actually not even mad about it because it was so incredibly good. The sesame bagel with egg and avo with garlic aioli was delectable. Came here for a late lunch after hearing a lot of good things and honestly it was just ok. It's only a slight step above the kind of sandwiches you can get at Sprouts but $20 instead of $5.99. We obviously had to try the Rye Reuben, and also tried the Green Gables. We weren't wowed by either and were still a bit hungry after our sandwiches. I felt like all of the flavor came from the sauces, the pastrami in the Rye Reuben did not really stand out on its own. On the plus side, the pickle on the side is pretty great. The spot was kind of small inside but there was some seating which is dope. There were tables outside the establishment where you can enjoy your meal. I ordered The Green Gables which came with turkey, bacon, avocado, pickled red onion, vine ripe tomato, horseradish aioli. Safe to say this sandwich did not disappoint. The Green Gables - Huge sandwich with crispy bacon and creamy avocado. The pickled red onion had a nice acidity that pairs well with all the other components of the sandwich. Every sandwich came with a bag of Lays chips and a pickle which was super awesome! Overall, Rye Society has been nothing but amazing in their service and their amazing sandwiches. I had a peaceful and quiet early lunch on a Thursday. I ordered the vegan Reuben, and it was quite good. While it may not be deserving of a five-star rating, it was definitely solid. The pickle was also pretty tasty, and as someone who grew up on homemade Jewish kosher dills, that's saying something. What's going on at this place? Counter service was friendly, but it took forevvvvver for our food (2 sandwiches) to come out. The rye was....not rye? Just white bread over-toasted, but at least the fillings had flavor unlike the eggs. What is happening with these eggs? Softer than custard and not a single ounce of salt or pepper on them. Spent nearly $50 for some lack-luster sandwiches and for the guy handing off our food to be so rude and condescending I considered telling him we didn't want it. Really great lunch spot in the RiNO area! They have a variety of pre-selected sandwiches to pick from, but you can also customize yourself. I got the chicken pesto sandwich; it was a bit of a busy day, and they make all their sandwiches to order. So I had to wait a bit for the sandwich, but it was a nice day to sit outside and enjoy the weather which I didn't mind (but beware, if you're in a rush it may make sense to call in ahead of time). The sandwich was a little pricey, but I could tell that the ingredients were really fresh. The sandwich itself is also a decent size, and I was so full after. You also get lays w/ your sandwich but can upgrade to boulder chips for ($1?), which is worth it imo unless you love yourself some lays. Rye Society is one of those "stupid good" places that makes me question why it took me so long to come here. Actually, these guys are only open six hours a day. Which is the main reason why. However, they cram in nothing but quality between 9am-3pm. Quality always trumps quantity, right? After a meeting close by, I opened up Yelp and couldn't believe my eyes. I was a few blocks away from Rye Society. AND THEY WERE OPEN. Hallelujah, he screamed! +The #18+1 - now this brings me back to the "stupid good" comment. This sandwich. A strong contender for one of the top spots in Denver. The kicker was the grilled rye bread. But can we take it back to the mouthwatering pastrami? You could've served it to me on a wet napkin and it would've still tasted excellent. Bonus points for the epic Larry David portrait on the wall when you walk in and unique Black & White Cookies. Hungover? Or just need an excellent breakfast sandwich? Rye Society is the place to go. Last weekend, I had the standard breakfast sandwich on an everything bagel with cream cheese and cholula - holy moly was it good. Not only had that disappeared after 4 minutes of me sitting down, but I also polished off (not to brag about my eating skills) an order of the incredible matzah ball soup. Rye Society uses dill in their soup which added such a great flavor - highly recommend. A VERY IMPORTANT offering of Rye Society is their chocolate chip cookies. They are fresh and moist and thick. I could use a million more words to describe them but those are the important ones. I actually recommend splitting one with a friend since they are so dense- or saving half for later so you can have it all yourself. Pro tip : if you check in on yelp you can use the coupon to get one of those bad boys for FREE. The place is decorated with history and tastefully done portraits of famous Jewish people (e.g. Natalie Portman, Mila kunis) and is fun to look around while you're eating. Not much seating but a few spots if you go at the right time. Overall definitely recommend stopping by and maybe trying everything on the menu. read more

I recently had lunch at Rye Society and this is probably the worst excuse for a deli that i have ever experienced. Where do I start.!! the pastrami sandwich that i ordered on rye was about as far away from a real deli rye as one could imagine. The bread looked and tasted like white sandwich bread with a couple of of caraway seeds to make it look authentic. Far from it. The pastrami had some thin slices that looked and tasted more like beef jerky. This was for a sandwich that cost $17. I don't know how this "deli" stays in business. So glad to finally make it to Rye Society! I tried the Hebrew Hammer aka lox bagel sandwich and got my free Rugelach (or you could do a cookie) with check in. The lox was filled with tangy cream cheese (never had cream cheese quite like it before) but all the other toppings were a bit lacking in portion in comparison. There was an option to upgrade to Boulder brand chips. They have a good sense of humor and it was a fun place to have lunch. The best pastrami sandwich in greater Denver area, hands down! Rye Society is located on Larimer Street, a stones throw from Denver Central Market. It opened a few years back, and when I heard about its opening I had to check it out. If I were stranded on a desert island, I would choose pastrami as my only sustenance. I grew up in Los Angeles and fell in love with the west coast style of pastrami sandwiches made famous by the #19 at Langer's Deli in McArther Park. This is a pastrami sandwich on double-baked rye with coleslaw, russian dressing and swiss cheese. My go to order at Rye Society is the 18+1 with the extra portion of pastrami, I think that adds about 3 oz. In speaking with the owner, I learned that the naming of the 18+1 pays homage to the famous #19 at Langer's. The sandwich is an absolute delight, however, the pastrami snob in me would personally prefer a drier slaw and rye crust with more crackle. Also of note, when the deli first opened, they advertised on their website and menu they sourced their pastrami from the famous Carnegie Deli, but I don't see mention of this anymore, which makes me wonder. For dessert, I would HIGHLY recommend the Rugelach, hazelnut is my favorite! I can't remember exactly but I'm pretty sure I heard the owner tell me that either his mom or close relative bakes them in small batches fresh daily. My only gripe with the Rugelach is that it is a bit pricey. Also of note, the deli also offers bagels sourced from Rosenbergs, so this is a great place to get delicious bagel sandwiches when the line at Rosenberg's is out of control. read more

Upselling? You expect upsell in a car dealership, not in a sandwich joint; however, that is what happens at Rye Society. It advertises a base model Reuben for about $17 (a hefty price for a base), but if you do not add a 3 oz corned beef for another $5, you get a measly amount of corned beef and a poor, disappointing Reuben. If you pay for the upsell and buy a $22 Reuben, you then get the amount of corned beef you expect from a reputable deli and a decent sandwich -- except you now paying $22 for what would be a $12-$15 sandwich elsewhere. Same holds true for all of its sandwiches. We are all used to paying more for everything these days, but the upsell here, for a sandwich, is insane. read more
