Sushi bagels? Yes please! I saw the ikura picture from Instagram and have been craving it ever since! It was so fresh and delicious, plus the wasabi toppings - worth the drive over. I was also really impressed by the furikake bagels! Had to get a half dozen to go (2 furikake, 2 everything, 1 blueberry). The SEC sandwich was also good but I think I would choose a different bagel instead of the everything bagel. It was pretty dry. This was my first breakfast at home post baby number 2 and lox were a must! Odell's was the perfect spot to get a great quality bagel with unique flavor profiles. This is the most impressive bagel spots I've visited. The texture of the bagel itself is not what wowed me but rather all the flavors. You can get two different bagel halves which I appreciated so I tried the tuna poke and the rhubarb marmalade with ginger, both of which have cream cheese as a base. The tuna poke was so fresh and the rosemary bagel was truly loaded with rosemary. The rhubarb jam was deliciously sweet, there was a generous amount, and I loved the ginger on top. I highly recommend looking at the menu ahead of time because it can be a bit overwhelming with all the options and even on a weekday there was a lineup mid morning. There is limited seating: one 4 person table inside, counter seating and 2-3 tables outside. Odell's Bagel is seriously my favorite spot! I ordered a rosemary bagel with salmon roe, pastrami and whitefish, all with cream cheese and they were fresh! The bagel was warm and perfectly toasty. Came back to give this place another shot and honestly it was still okay, I still believe it's overhyped. Super cool that they are able to slice up fresh fish in front of you but my bagel with bacon came out with floppy bacon and my hamachi bagel felt under-seasoned. Service was great though and the bacon portions were also great so I'm raising it up a star from my previous rating. If the bacon was cooked a bit more and if the hamachi had maybe some ponzu on it I would give this place a higher rating. Favorite bagels in Denver! If I lived closer to Odell's, I fear I'd gladly be here everyday. The fish here is so fresh and almost melts in your mouth. I appreciate that they don't skimp on the toppings/herbs and the cream cheese is utter perfection. Also, their evening omakase sushi experience is amazing! I really wanted to try their bagel plus house made plum jam and we didn't learn until at the register that they are out of jam until the next seasonal one can be made (citrus base of some sort), bummer for timing I guess. These bagels have a lot of hype, and I'm not really sure why. They're very dense, pretty small, and there's not a ton of variety. It could just be good marketing, but these bagels could only qualify as good in a city with limited bagel options like our Denver is. Call Your Mother and Rich Spirit run laps around these bagels, and it's not all that close. The bagels can take a surprisingly long time to come out, even when you're dining in, but the interior with its open kitchen is nice and feels like it fits the vibe of the neighborhood. However, my enthusiasm quickly evaporated when it came time to order. First, the pricing is on the expensive side. For example, they're charging $18 for pastrami cured salmon on top of a bagel. Second, they ran out of food. By the time I had gotten to the cash register, the lox was gone. They also ran out of all bagel types except for pumpernickel. Thus, I settled for a pumpernickel bagel with egg and bacon, which still ran me $12.50 before tax. Third, the countertop I sat down at, which was the only free space in the restaurant, was littered with breadcrumbs. Nevertheless, the food quality here is a strong redeeming feature. This bagel sandwich was absolutely delicious. More specifically, the bagel was crunchy on the outside while being dense on the inside; this high-quality bagel is unlike the bagels found at grocery stores and makes the wait totally worth it. Overall, Odell's has excellent bagels but fails on the service front. It's definitely worth checking out if you're in the area, but I wouldn't go out of my way to visit. read more

We got there a few minutes before they open and there was a line of 15 or so people.
