This was a really charming place. The staff were warm and welcoming. The drinks were good. We spent the evening ghost hunting which was fun. They are in the midst of renovations which are sorely needed but you can see some very real potential there. It's like stepping back in time when you visit. And if you're a fan of art deco you will be in heaven. So much history to see. It's truly a special place.

Having fun w Fam!

Everything was magical. Food was so good for the price! Ambiance was wonderful. Attentive service. Such a beautiful place!

Lovely Setting at the hotel..

Why do I give this hotel 5 stars? I've been coming here on special occasion for over 40 years and I've always had excellent customer service. The staff has always been amazing. The bar was classic vintage and the food remarkable. And the history a story still being told. This may 34th I was supposed to be married in Oregon to the love of my life. But instead the venue for my wedding was canceled and I wanted to come up with something special to do on that day because we had to reschedule our wedding months in advance ahead of us. So I selected to return to this hotel ask my fiancé to marry me for the second time because the first time I didn't have a ring and the second time she would get one. When I made my reservation I talked to Tina the event manager there and she set me up with a couple really nice rooms. Now I have to say I fully understand that they were beginning a major renovation for this nearly 100 year old hotel and had to stop before it began because of C 19. I knew before I made my reservation that it was in need of deep deep renovation and that everything from the area out in front of the hotel to the smallest details in the room needed attention. But I knew that they were working on them. Sometimes it's more about the experience than it is the problems that they're trying to do a work around with. I have faith that they will get to these things in time but the economy just didn't support them at this moment. Tina was very upfront and told me that the restaurant and bar were closed and that they had limited rooms that they could open because of the shelter in place. When she heard I was coming to ask my fiancé to marry me for a second time so I can put the ring on her finger she was all in. What a great help to us the entire time I was there. Tina also suggested that I go out and set up a picnic in the back Garden gazebo where we are surrounded by flowers to enjoy my moment with my fiancé and her daughter who was with us who is also in on this. My fiancé had no idea what I had planned. It was the ultimate surprise. Champagne perfect weather tons of food beautiful people and nap under a shade tree it was perfect. We had our picnic in the garden and a swim in the river our rooms were wonderful and we had a completely enjoyable stay at the hotel. I can't wait until they're fully functional and start their brunches again we will be there. I will be there with my fiancé wearing her wonderful ring and her daughter. I can assume that it will be brought back to its former glory with an event area that separate from the hotel off to the side or you play some more your boat while you are staying at the hotel on the river. Final note. I would like to give a shout out to a young man and I hope I get his name right but I believe it was Jonathan. In the evening when there was no one around Jonathan was there to see do I need for icing towels or anything else that we needed. What a really really nice young man he took incredible careless. Even refuse to tip with a smile. This is the kind of employee everyone should have. Thank you Jonathan.

He showed us around, answered all our questions, and even gave us complimentary drinks. This was the most thorough and fun we had at a wedding tour venue~ Setting: The mansion is pretty old, but it definitely has a certain charm to it! It's very European-French themed imo and they have really nice ceremony sites for weddings! We didn't have a reservation for the buffet, but we asked if they could accommodate us, and they were able to squeeze us in (lucky us). The buffet costs $80 per person, which is definitely on the expensive side, but personally, I think it's more worth it than paying for the Cosmo buffet in Vegas. You can drink as much alcohol as you want, and they serve steak, pasta, French toast, eggs Benedict, vegetables, salad, and have their own dessert bar. For a buffet, we actually thought the food was pretty good compared to other buffets we went to that had similar pricing! The steak and chicken were just okay, but the dishes that really stood out to us were the French toast, salad, truffle mushroom crepes, and pasta. The rest were decent. This place is quite far from the Bay Area--it took us about 1 hour and 40 minutes each way. If you're coming here for brunch, I highly recommend making a reservation beforehand because they can get pretty packed and I think they required reservation ahead of time. The wedding tour and brunch together took us about 4 hours. Overall, we really enjoyed our visit and would highly recommend checking this place out especially if you're doing a wedding tour :)

The place would definitely be amazing as a wedding venue. Brunch was good. The service was attentive--they were right there with coffee' mimosas, and water. They cleared your plate and silverware before you went back to the buffet for the next course. The food was good, if not spectacular. It reminded me of the fancy brunch buffets my very formal grandparents would take me to as a child. I appreciated the variety of food available, and the prime rib carving station was a nice touch. The desserts were fun--small enough to be able to sample a variety. I thoroughly enjoyed the experience. Wish I could give it 4.5 stars.

Their…read morelove for their animals and their dedication to the community really shows in everything they do. From the moment you step onto their farm, you can see how well the animals are cared for and how much work goes into maintaining the property. One of my favorite parts of visiting the farm is discovering the local products they feature in their farmstand. I was introduced to Laurel Ann's baked goods here and now I'm obsessed! It's free to stop by their farmstand during their business hours to buy anything from eggs, juice, cookies, bread, honey, etc. Love that when I'm supporting this farm, it also means supporting other small businesses in the community. Over the course of my visits, I've noticed that they have added more animals. While some people mention that general admission of $20 per person feels high, it's important to understand that these proceeds go directly toward maintaining the facility, feeding and caring for the animals. I was shocked to learn just how much the animals (and they have alot) eat in a single day! General admissions allows you to explore the facility and use their picnic area to enjoy the yummy treats you bought from the farmstand when it's not too hot, it's the perfect place for a picnic! It's not a huge farm, but it's worth a visit. You'll get to enjoy yummy treats from local businesses, learn about the animals, and disconnect from the hustle bustle of life.

It's additional to do meet and greet with the farm animals. The total was $40 per person for our visit on a weekend. Once arrived, farmer Mike greeted us and walked us through the farm. They have donkeys and goats from Stardust Sanctuary you can see but cannot pet. We got to see pigs, bunnies, babydoll sheep, and highland cows. Farmer Mike was really patient with all the little ones on the tour and made sure to give precautions (don't chase the animals, etc). Overall we had a great time, at the end, farmer Mike even brought a baby pig for us to see and pet. Definitely an experience that is great for children, but my husband and I still enjoyed the tour.
