2025 update: tday buffet was SUPREME…read more My personal preference ratings so I remember for next year: 1. Prime rib, mashed potatoes, both pumpkin and onion soups 2. Yams (don't go too hard but ya yum, future self), herb biscuits (staff don't read this part - future self, steal one even if ur full), stuffing (go light on this tho, a lot of bread, future self), baked brie, cranberry goat cheese, creme brulee, pudding, cranberry sauce 3. Corn 4. Turkey (tbf I tried the white meat but am actually fond of dark meat), green bean casserole - Prime rib very very good. Huge 360 from last year. - Cranberry sauce so mature in flavor, nicely spiced, maybe my favorite of all cranberry sauces? - Mashed potatoes fluffy and buttery, y'all know what you're doing - Creamy onion soup ugh savory, creamy, not too salty, sumptuous home cooking (tho I waste the bulbs unless they're blended in lol sorry) - Pumpkin soup ugh yes like a savory pumpkin pie, thick soup, supreme - I don't usually eat bread at a buffet but the herbed biscuits are worth it (also the stuffing, tho I personally prefer my dad's/grandma's gizzard stuffing) - Baked brie is complicated I think because it has to be kept warm for a little gooeyness but I can't resist any kind of cheese, I don't care if it's hot or cold, store-bought, even kraft cheese (is that cheese?), I'll eat it

Recently chose Eden Vale Inn for our "babymoon" vacation and overall had a lovely stay and highly…read morerecommend the inn for a romantic getaway! We stayed in the Stone Pine room, which is one of the smaller rooms, but it was a good enough size for a couple, had a private entrance, and did not share any walls with other rooms. Very peaceful and quiet. Keep in mind there was no cell service in this room (Verizon), due to the more secluded location, but the wifi worked great. The star of the show were the outdoor soaking tubs, which really made the experience so special. The tubs are more like bathtubs than jacuzzis, with temperature adjustments which was perfect for being pregnant, and no yucky chlorine smell after. Amazing! The breakfasts were delicious each day and part of the magic of the bed and breakfast. Breakfast was delivered to the room promptly and the owners were willing to accommodate my dietary restriction. Coffee/tea was available via Keurig in the rooms (Starbucks and Peet's pods) with plenty of cream and sugar options. The only downside to our stay was that we ended up having to lose our *full* pay for an expensive massage package due to a personal medical emergency. I am not docking stars on this rating because I understand they are running a business, we signed the policy, etc. This is just my personal opinion on a unique situation for you as a potential guest to know. Because they contract out for their spa services, just beware they do not have a forgiving policy. I happened to have a horribly timed medical emergency at the time of our massage. The masseuses were already onsite and we felt terrible, but I was physically unable to get the massage and needed to go to the hospital promptly. We informed the owners what was going on every step of the way, and they were kind and understanding in the moment given a bad situation. However, I was disappointed they offered no support with brainstorming a potential reschedule (we were willing to pay more), offer a partial refund, small future discount, etc... nothing. It was honestly just crickets from them and seemed to be unsaid that it was not their problem. This might come down to personal opinion, but it felt cold and dampened our experience. I ended up having to be the one to reach out to the owner via text, and again in person when we returned to the Inn to inquire about a reschedule or any support with the matter. The owner stated there were no slots available, no refunds, and cited having to put strict policies in place due to people in the past missing massages for arriving late, oversleeping, etc. Again, this just felt cold considering the terrible morning scare we had, which clearly was different than just being irresponsible. This kind of humanity in hard situations is what sets certain businesses apart for me in extenuating circumstances, and keeps guests coming back. Other than this, we had a wonderful stay and would choose to revisit the Eden Vale Inn given all the other great and accommodating features of our stay.

This time I asked for a large larger room and a clean room that had recently been done and I got the pure room which is absolutely the cleanest room. I have stayed in a long time for this hotel. So while I will tell you that I know that there's some pretty rough rooms here. I will say that if you want a nice room and it's clean on the first floor they have a room called the pure room. I'd ask for that and spend the extra money.

My sister and I booked a stay here because we were from out of town for a family event. The first room we were assigned to it was dirty!! There was food everywhere and the bed was not clean. The bed was undone from the last guest. The bathroom was dirty. It had look like somebody literally just checked out and then we were assigned it. Nobody even bother to check if it was cleaned. Then the second room we were assigned, the sheets were dirty. I called the front desk to explain again the room doesn't look clean either. The bed sheets especially. She brought up new sheets and blankets and expected us to change them. Sorry but that's not my job to do. At that point my sister and I did not feel comfortable staying there. With the unsanitary rooms and then the fact the front desk person, Tanya expected us to change the dirty sheets and blankets for the second was room is absolutely ridiculous. When we went back downstairs to explain how we felt and everything, Tanya did not seem to care, she didn't apologize or anything. We ended up checking out and not even staying. And now the hotel manager is ignoring our calls for a refund and hotels.com says they can't get ahold of the manager there. With the price of the room too for a ONE night stay, absolutely not worth it! You're better off finding another hotel. Zero stars!

Our suite (one of five) was absolutely stunning. The Innkeeper (the first of three amazing Innkeepers) had the gas fireplace lit, and wonderful instrumental music playing, as she showed us our suite. The food was phenomenal: gourmet breakfasts, 5:00 wine and cheese, and homemade cookies in the evening. My favorite part was the patio with a fire pit overlooking the vineyard. It is difficult to find such peace and serenity anywhere. Aah... We anticipate return visits

But with that, Elk Grove is a good-hotel desert. Seemingly, the competitor hotels are old and outdated, and this one is rather new and updated. Right off the highway, it's located pretty central to everything. The complimentary breakfast was regular. They did have DIY waffles. There is a small, not heated outdoor pool. The rooms were fine, the beds comfy. There was a small, but decent gym. The front staff were nice. Overall, a fine hotel and rating depending on price. $200ish - great. $300ish for Elk grove - overpriced. Do what you will!

The ambiance in the front lobby is very chill, clean, and the staff are nice. The hotel rooms look like studio apartments with the fridge, kitchen, dishwasher, provided utensils, desk, etc. I do feel like some of the hotel rooms that I've stayed in here could have been much cleaner. Also, the trash cans in the bathroom and in the room do not have bags in them, which makes some people throw trash that will touch the trash cans. The last time that I stayed here, the kitchen sponge to wash the dishes were previously used, and the paper towel roll in the kitchen was all dirty. For breakfast in the mornings, they are alright. The eggs and sausage were a bit cold, I definitely feel like they can put the breakfast in food trays that can keep them warm. I do recommend coming here and trying the place out and see if you like it. My first few visits here were good, but my recent visit here was alright. There are some hotel rooms here that look more modern and more clean, like having a spacious shower with glass doors. On my most recent visit here, I had a bathtub shower with shower curtains; so it depends on which hotel room you book!
