Spent an amazing weekend at Vieiras resort. The weather was great, the campground was very well manicured. The hospitality from the owners and staff over the top. Great prices for camping and full hookups. We had a family reunion. My husband and I only live 5 minutes from Vieiras. We really enjoyed everything about it and will go again. Our group has always enjoyed coming here, we have a great time everyone is so friendly. This past weekend someone came into our campsite and stole our electric bikes that were chained together, they had to be carried off we were told that there night security didn't see anything and their cameras didn't either! read more

My family and I went here mainly to go fishing. When we showed up we were told no fishing except for one spot in a canal that's not even part of the flowing river. They have 2 beaches but you can't fish from there. Apparently if the staff likes how you look they'll let you fish off of their dock at the end says one of the locals that live there. I guess they didn't like me and my kids because they didn't let us fish from there. I think it would be very helpful if they said no bank fishing, only if you have a boat. My kids were so excited to go here until we found out we couldn't even fish at the river resort. We paid for 2 days and we didn't even really want to stay one night. The tent sites are right next to the highway. The whole night you can here cars driving by. Not to mention we had several flood lights pointed directly at our campsite. I had to move my vehicle and all the camping furniture in between the lights and our tent in order to go to sleep. I slept horribly with the lights shining into our tent, highway noise, and someone's subwoofers were bumping Mexican Banda music until after midnight. Also my neighbor who claimed to be a regular there did not follow the dog leash rules and his dog kept harassing my kids and made them feel very uncomfortable. The guy said it was ok because his dog was a "puppy," and that he was a regular there. This made it impossible to relax. I have small children and I don't know if the guys dogs was trained or not. I shouldn't have to worry about my kids getting bitten by someone's dog. I think it was normal for dogs to be off leash, there were other dogs that were roaming the "resort." But none of them were bothering us except for the one. If you have an rv and or a boat this place would be nicer to visit. But not the best for tent camping. The first thing I noticed on there flyer in big letters said FISH, as in fishing. It should say NO bank fishing. Or should specify that you cannot fish in the main part of the river, only a single spot in a canal. I don't think we will be going back until we have a boat. There wasn't enough things for the kids to do. read more

Our Family had a family reunion there and we where Pleasantly surprised at how much fun we had. The cabins Where very well maintained, the staff was friendly and very helpful. I would recommend this little piece of heaven to anyone in the bay area that does not want to travel far. We went fishing and caught some . I have been going to Vieiars for over 40 years. Have told a lot of people how great the place was. But the last couple of years management has changed and they have no respect for there customers. After the crap they pulled on my friend that has been camping there for 21 years and tells him that he is not welcome anymore and I guess the $6.000 my friend spends there each year is not a big deal. Not even counting all the help he has given to people with boat issues or camping issues or help the place out when they were flooding by taking his truck down there and filling sand bags and moving them around the place and not asking for anything in return. All I have to say is they will never see a dime of my money ever again. Very sad how this place went down the drain read more

We got a really nice cabin from a last minute cancellation. Has a full size refrigerator, microwave and coffee maker. No utensils though. Don't forget!!! We had a charcoal stand alone grill, Weber grills at other cabins. Newly renovated inside. Lots of light, tv, & AC. Boat ramp close and affordable with easy access and on Sacramneto River. Few tent sites available, primitive. Lots of RV parking. And people actually live in the resort in regular houses. Really nice community. read more

Our family has been coming here for years. Always clean. Staff is friendly as far as I see. Yes, they charge for launch fees, and this, and that and so on. Name a business that doesn't. It is clean, quiet and from what I see very little problems. You pay for all those accommodations. read more

As somebody has mentioned in a prior tip, this is the hidden gem of the Delta...although I can't really compare it to other RV parks on the Delta since this is my first trip to the Delta.... We came here on the 4th of July weekend and we had a blast. I was a bit disappointed they didn't put the events for the 4th on their website or facebook page. So...if you're coming here on the 4th, bring decorations and a bike or electric vehicle to decorate. There is a parade that goes on. They also do a mini fireworks display at the beach on the 4th. It was perfect for my 4 year old daughter. So, now for the pro's and cons... PROS: - Shaded park with mature trees. - If you get a few spots, you can stagger your RVs so you and your group have room. - 1/2 of the spots back up to the large field so you have a lot of room and can easily watch your kids play on the nicely maintained grass. There is a half basketball court too for the kids to play on. - The RV park store has just about everything you forgot...seriously. They even have kids toys for very reasonable prices. - Reasonably price ($37/night with power and water) - Easy to get to from I-5. - Staff is very friendly and helpful. CONS: - They overcharged me one night. I still have to call and have them fix it. However, upon checkout the girl told me they would mail me a check. :) - If you're camping by yourself and cannot stagger your RVs, you're kinda packed in there... - My wifi password and login didn't work. It said someone was already using it. But, I didn't bother to notify the park so I'm partially to blame... read more

So this was how my morning started here. My partner and I entered in the Resort and we weren't sure where to pay for parking since the booth by the entrance wasn't open. So I looped around to see where I can park. I decided to park in front of the restaurant so my partner and I can figure out how we can pay. The reason why I parked the car there was because I wasn't sure if I can park in the designated launching parking lot and there wasn't any signs that say visitor parking. Right when I parked in front of the restaurant, and walked out of my car, a guy came out of the restaurant and said in an argressive tone, "This is a restaurant parking and you can't park here". I explained to him that we were just going over to the booth by the entrance to see if we can pay. Then the guy said, "I don't care" and walked away. I felt so unwelcome here as this being my first time. My question is, how can he just assumed that my partner and I were not there for the restaurant? As guests, visitors or customers, either if we are there to fish, launch a boat, picnic, or eat inside the restaurant, wouldn't everyone who entered in the Resort still a guest, visitor or customer? I'm actually very disappointed to start off my morning like this. read more

We reserved an RV spot just a day ahead of time. Scheduling was easy on the phone, lots of spots to choose from, the gal helped me pick the best spot for our 29 foot Toy Hauler. Paid for boat launch and boat docking overnight on the same reservation. Check in was easy, bring rabies cert for dog if you have one, they only charge $1/day and are dog friendly. Hook ups were as promised, everything worked the way it should. We had 2 nights and 3 great days of camping and boating for a total of around $120. The store there has basic stuff. We ran out of paper towels, coffee filters, it's convenient to be able to buy things right there. Gas dock was fairly priced and easy to access. Need a code to get into the area where the boat slips are. All in all we had no problems, everybody was friendly and easy going, we will be back! read more

As a child in the 60s I remember the resort. My Grandma and Grandpa kept their boat at the Marina. In those days it was very pleasant.Quiet.I was between 9 years and 15 years old. It was very hot in the summer. The bull frogs were loud at night. Us kids would swim in the muddy colored river. I live it Washington state now but Lovingly remember the resort... I'm sure it was owned by different people then. At night my grandparents would take us kids to Isleton for the best prime rib dinner. In those days there were a lot of old Chinese people that lived there. We would go to one of there stores there and I was so mesmerized by the selves filled with strange products . The town was largely undiscovered in those days....good memories. read more

I am even more disappointed by your "comment" left on my previous post, but as I stated in my reply to you, we do have pictures proving your claims to be false. As I also stated in my reply, before you try to take on an issue, check your facts, or at the very least make sure the other side doesn't have proof that you were wrong (i.e. the family picture of all 23 of us, not 30, and the pictures of the cars parked) I stand by my original post. Anything further you feel you need to say, isn't worth my time. This is a review for fishermen and boaters on their boat ramp. I have launched here about 6 times this year and every time has been a pleasure. The workers do a great job ensuring the launching, parking, and retrieval process is as smooth as possible. They are a well oiled machine. I have even seen them help single boaters launch their boats. They have a 2-lane boat ramp with ample dock space. But they have limited parking so ensure you get here early. The salmon are running this year (2017) and parking on weekend fills up as early as 6:30am. read more

Every year during the last weekend of June, my dad's side of the family has a reunion here. We get one of the large cabins for the weekend, which are always clean and comfortable. The "resort" grounds themselves are a little strange, as there are private homes and a little mobile home park mixed in with the marina, cabins, and RV park area. Don't bother bringing a swimsuit, you won't want to touch that nasty water. Only bring your fishing pole if you don't mind catch and release- the only fish are carp and I wouldn't really eat anything out of the delta. The trees are beautiful, and there is a baseball diamond if you're into that sort of thing. It's definitely not fancy, and I probably wouldn't go there if it weren't for the reunion, but it's full of good memories for me and I always enjoy myself. read more

This summer/fall will be the 4th year my husband and I have been camping at Vieiras for our mini salmon fishing trips 4 or 5 times a year. According to "Marcy" there are no fish but "Carp." I believe those are Sacramento Pike she is talking about. A skilled angler can catch more than a bottom feeder, and at Vieras, that would be huge stripers, salmon, black bass, crappie, blue gill, etc.. even caught a crawdad, which was a "biggun." This resort/campground is perfectly located near the best salmon and striper hunting grounds! The boat launch is adequate. They have slips for just $8 a night if you are camping. There is a bait shop and convenience store for all of your needs. However, there is no coffee unless you get it at the restaurant. Yes, there is a restaurant specializing in Thai food, but they also have American favorites done well. The tent sites are great, close to a nice bathroom and showers and have electrical hookups and water as well as a bench table and barbeque. The water tastes good compared to most city water. The trees shading the tent sites are stunning and the grounds are very well maintained. Dogs are welcome, just pick up your poop (they have bags too) and they won't bark at you. There is a big dog park with beautifully manicured grass in the RV area, very close to the tent area. There's also a basketball court. The employees, all of them, are friendly and go out of their way to help people. They all seem so happy and relaxed (except when the boat launch is overrun with crazed fishermen). There appears to be a low turnover, and every year we come back we say hello to our old friends, campers and employees alike. Lira at the bait shop is an awesome lady, and she has many kitty cats she takes care of and who keep the riverside park rodent free. We will keep coming here and maybe even up the visits as we learn striper fishing! We know that when we pull up to that dock, we are home. That is the real reason Vieiras' is 5 star. read more

My daughter and I stayed the weekend here and had a great time. The staff is friendly and helpful, our cabin was so cute and clean and the atmosphere is relaxing and quiet. Its only a few minutes from Rio vista so trips to the store were easy and had a nice dinner in town. I appreciated the staffs knowledge of fishing and the help they provided re: what bait to use and the best fishing spots. We are looking forward to going back soon. I rate it only for campsite. It's a relaxing environment. Except for during rainy nites. Sites flood & make it messy To enjoy our sites. Other than that sites are good. We mainly choose this campground for its location. The bar & grill were a big disappointment. It's under new management Don't know about previous owner? The bartender/owner is not social or customer service persona. Well at least to us if Mexican decent. This was a big turnoff for group of three camping. They lost good money from our group. This one is for all of my fellow NorCal RVers. Our family just returned from Viera's Resort in Isleton, CA and I must say that we have already started planning our next trip back. I was planning a last-minute end of summer weekend trip for our family. We weren't sure where we wanted to go but we knew two things: we didn't want to go too far and we wanted to stay somewhere on the water. Being a last minute trip most of the places that I checked were completely booked or they had received some horrible reviews. I found this place on a recommendation from my brother-in-law who fishes the area quite frequently and while he had never camped there he had fished there and said it appeared to clean and well maintained. When I called to check availability I was greeted by a friendly staff member who was more than helpful. She explained that they had many sites to choose from and recommended site 14. She answered all of my questions, explained the park fees and took my reservation. Campsites range from tent sites (water and electric only) for $34 per night to full hookup (water, electric 30 & 50 amp, and sewer) for $36 per night. Now I know what you are thinking, "What is the actual cost per night (i.e. reservation fees, taxes, etc)?" but that IS the price with no hidden fees! This isn't your typical KOA or Thousand Trails campground but that being said you definitely get more than you pay for without paying the KOA prices. They have a well maintained swim beach with LOTS of shade and it is roped off from the main channel. My wife and I were able to relax and watch our kids play without worrying about them being swept away by the current. There are some great spots to fish as well as a live bait and tackle shop and a fish cleaning station which was also kept very clean. Next to the beach is a two lane boat launch as well as a gas dock. Behind the partial hookup sites there was a large grass field and a basketball court. There was also plenty of room for the kids to ride their bikes. There is a group camping area complete with 4 RV hookups, a large BBQ, a refrigerator and a private beach and boat dock. For the non campers they have fully furnished cabins for rent. The bathroom and shower facilities are more than adequate and very clean. As is common there is a small convenience store located at the entrance. There is also a restaurant/bar which looked like a nice place to grab a bite. The map gives a general layout of the campground. If you like the morning sun as you enjoy your coffee outside I would recommend sites 1-6 or 13-18. If you would rather watch the sunset as you start your campfire than I would recommend 7-12 or 19-24. Sites 25-47 are very close together. I would only recommend staying here if you are camping with a large group. The campground does allow fires but you must bring your own fire pit. The tent sites have BBQs but the RV sites do not. However there is a large picnic area next to the beach that does have BBQs if you are in need of one. Overall this resort provided a great camping experience for our family. The seclusion of the area paired with the short drive and reasonable prices made for a relaxing time without spending an arm and a leg or driving five hours just to set up camp in the dark. I give Viera's Resort four out of five bug zappers! (Would have gotten five if they had fire pits.) read more

I live in the area and use to go all to the restaurant all the time. I'm guessing they changed cooks and the new guy sucks. I went to get a breakfast burrito and asked for no beans. The cook made multiple jokes about no beans then put beans in my burrito. I don't care about the order being wrong but mocking me for not wanting beans then putting beans in my burrito is a slap in the face. So I won't be going there again and that dude can eat a dick. read more

I love the place. We rented a small cabin a couple of weeks ago. The room was great, clean and A/C worked well too. The bar made a good drink. We had lunch there the other day. The food was good and the service was friendly and welcoming. I would of giving a 5 star rating, but the woman in the office was unfriendly and when we wanted to upgrade our room to a larger one so the grand kids could join us we were told they were full, which turned out to not true. read more

Decided to launch my boat there for the first time. The entry into the water(high tide) went off with out any trouble. However, the exit( LOW tide) was extremely difficult. The ramp was uneven. There is also a HUGE drop off at the edge of the water line. There were three people ahead of me who BOTTOMED OUT while trying to exit the water. Also, parking is horrible! The streets are VERY narrow while navigating through this trashy mobile home park like maze. There is no where to turn around. FAIL. There is a bar and store that sells bait for fishing on site. read more

Pleasant and quiet for tent camping. Shower looses pressure but very hot. Only one toilet in restroom and not lighted at night so bring your flashlight. Restaurant bar open at night with variety on the menu. Unfortunately no swimming area, the so called beach area is too rocky and muddy to walk in. read more

WE HAD SO MUCH FUN!! This was only our second trip with our first trailer, and the security guy lead us to our site, talked us through backing in, hooked up our sewer, and stayed until we were all set up. All of the staff there was super nice and really accommodating. Yah, it's not a swanky KOA, and there's no fancy play ground for the kids, but the grassy area is really nice and there are a lot of shade trees. The "trashy mobile home park" was actually really cute, they all had nice yards and gardens and a lot of the homes were permanent real construction, not mobiles. We had a late lunch at the restaurant and had good food and great service. We will be back for sure! read more

Women was very rude when scheduling the reservation about a week ago and when I just called to cancel due to uforseen circumstances they cannot refund my 1 night deposit because its less than 30 days notice. This has got to be one of the best hidden gems of an RV park in the Delta. The park is not fancy but the office staff bend over backwards for you. Hospitality means everything. Sites are a little tight if you have a very large RV but able to accomodate big 5th wheels. We have been to this park 3 times now and have not been disappointed. We had sites 38-42 for a large birthday weekend. Large grass play area with a basketball court and horseshoe pit right behind the sites. read more

Stayed in their largest cabin. Beds and bath were very clean and set up as nice as a 5 star hote. My bed was comfortable, my friend said hers was hardl. My biggest disappointment and info they did not share was the kitchen. We had a full kitchen and normally when it states "full Kitchen". One assumes it is a Complete kitchen with all necessary utensils . There was a incomplete set of dishes, and silverware. No Bowls for salad or mixing, no spatula, no large spoon, no pots or frying pan. This really left us stranded as we didn't bring pot, pans, spatula, serving spoon to cook or serve. You'd think these are BASICs. read more

I have been to Viera's 6 times this salmon season and each time is a different adventure with different rules on how to launch and pull your boat out of the water. For example: pull your boat out of the water and do not pass the white line, don't bother wiping down your boat or you will be rudely asked to park back in your original parking space if it is accessable and not blocked by another trailer and if it is you get yelled at to drive through the park like you are an idiot. The older lady that works there changes like the fishing hot and cold. I will never go back there again. Just rude and unfriendly and not worth the $15 they charge to get treated like an idiot. read more

We stay at the RV park twice a year, they have the best spaces and you can launch your boat a dock it with easy access to the river. It is the most relaxing park. They are always ready to help you and have the best restaurant. Highly recommended coming. read more

Service people are extremely rude, food at the restaurant is poor at best I will never return to the facility due to the owner's behavior. The lay out of the boat launch is not accommodating than one boat at a time launching. You would think that this time of the year when business is slow that the employees would try to sell their facility to attract business instead they drive people away. read more

Vieiras is an older place, but the trees are mature and it is generally well maintained. I have launched my boat there in the past and have had no issues. Restaurant and bar on premesis has changed hands a few times, currently it is a thai/american place. Not sure if the thai is good, or if they will make it with the concept, but breakfast entrees are good. Haven't tried the dinners. Ament Marine boat shop is in the back of the property and has always done good work at fair prices for me. This is delta camping, not for the upscale camper but more in line with family camping and fun. read more

My husband and I have been going out there for almost 17 years at least 3 to 4 times a year we were just there 2 weeks ago and plan on going this weekend I can't say enough about the friendly staff and the new restaurant don't bother bringing food just go inside and enjoy everything. We recently spent a weekend at Vieira's Resort for our annual Salmon fishing trip in the Delta and we had a great stay once again. Our cabin #3 was really clean and the bed was comfortable. The cabin was well equipped and the air conditioning worked great. We got great fishing tips at the bait shop to help improve our chances of catching fish. The River Delta Diner as usual had good food and nice drinks. The manager of the Diner (Brandi) and her staff were great. We also met a good number of Vieira's seasonal residents and they were very welcoming and friendly. Finally, we were so pleased with (Tara) at the front office who was amazing accommodating us to ensure a great stay. She is energetic, professional and helpful. I will definitely recommend this place for a safe and comfortable stay when visiting this area of the California Delta. From the moment you check in and put your boat on the water, you are within striking distance to great fishing. You can't beat the location for great boating and fishing. read more
