This place has it all! No masks on staff, no gloves on staff, and an environment so welcoming of others not wearing masks that customers don't bother to bring them inside. They even had an unused mask on an out-of-the-way shelf just in case someone asked them about it. Smart thinking! My family and I are locals and have been coming here on/off for years and I can vouch that the best thing about this place is their customer service. They went out of there way to openly laugh at me when I wore inside a "I Voted" sticker - What an eye for detail! These surly staff members make you ask yourself, "Why do I order food from here?" It's because they're very close by and you're really willing to settle when you don't have to cook. Their sandwich/meal menu variety is fine. The quality is okay. Their choices of chips, sodas, snacks, and salads is average. If you like local businesses that we leave you coughing less than two weeks later, this is the place for you! read more

Ryan's is always an awesome spot for a good sandwich in Myrtle Beach! The best is by far the buffalo chicken panini which is always made fresh. Feels like a New York deli place with just the right amount of self serve and over the bar service. The ladies working are always affectionate and the place, as much of a whole in the wall that it is, is clean. The food is sometimes a tad pricey, but most of the time pretty fair. Best bang for your buck is probably the breakfast options honestly! When I'm the area and in need of a local small business sandwich shop, Ryan's is a must! :) read more

Very good local deli. I live in a neighborhood about two miles from Ryan's and love to get takeaway when i'm out running errands or want a sandwich to take with me to the neighborhood pool. I've never had bad food from Ryan's. I highly recommend the turkey on rye with swiss. They stuff their sandwiches full of meat and toppings. Heard good things about this place so had to check it out. Turns out the cold staff makes the joint not so friendly, being from jersey this place doesn't remind me of a northern deli. The older woman working the front needs to find a new job or learn how to be happy, an attitude like hers makes the atmosphere very uncomfortable. Ordered a veggie quesadilla, nice size but the veggies are definitely not fresh, mushrooms were chewy and most definitely are canned. Broccoli was somewhat cold in a hot quesadilla, after I had watched the cook remove it from the microwave it makes sense. If your looking for for a friendly fresh northern style deli this is not your place, disappointed because these people make New Jersey food and culture look bad. read more

For the lady with the red curly hair who rang me up yesterday and said "So what are you doing with yourself today?" Followed by "you know, are you going to go home and sit on your but and watch tv all day or go to work". After being a customer for 8 years, and my being nothing but kind and respectful, to you and the rest of your staff, that was a very cruel and down right mean thing to say. I always sensed harsh judgment towards myself by you all whenever I came in there from you and your other sidekick. I even ignored the little snide remarks, but you definitely confirmed that what I was feeling from you all was correct all along. Wow, 8 years. Since you really wanted to know "what I was doing with myself today", which we both know you really didn't care, was first, try to stop myself from reeling about the news that I got the night before that doctors found a growth on my 13 year old nephews leg and it doesn't sound good. I cried very hard that night. But I knew I had to pull myself together and be strong for my family and be there for my brother who is scared to death and so am I. So yeah, that's for 1. And for 2, since you all want to know so bad if I work or not, yes I do. I am an Accounting Analyst for a company that I have been with for 14 years. 10 years ago, my company granted me the privilege to work from home and so I moved to Myrtle Beach. I live in a beautiful condo and sometimes I go to little dive joints for brunch to be served by fine people like yourself. I only have to dress nice for work if I have to fly back home to corporate for an important meeting, other work-related events or if I have any zoom meetings. Otherwise, I can wear my comfy lounge clothes to work in and run errands with, which is why I am sure you were judging me and the fact that I am overweight, let's be real with the "sit on your but and watch tv all day". I know what you all thought of me all this time, because you all really don't try to hide it well. Does it make you feel better to be mean to someone who never did anything wrong to you? Believe me and hear me when I tell you and (some of the other staff who treat people like dirt you know who you are) you aren't anyone special. What you said to me was abhorrent. However, something tells me I'm pretty sure you don't even know the meaning of the word without looking it up. P.S. Going by the other reviews, it shows that I am not the only one who experienced this from you and the rest of your staff over the years. Place was neat and clean. Meat on the sandwich was good but the roll was dried out and stale.

The man taking the orders was a grouch, I asked for a pork roll sandwich and he asked me which one I wanted and I asked him what's the difference, then he called out the cook and they still didn't answer me, when he finally did he said one is cold. This place is always A M A Z I N G. The food is consistently phenomenal and it's the best deli in Myrtle. My favorite is the roast beef club. Their roast beef is rare and I don't know anywhere else that actually serves rare roast beef deli meat. Their bread is always fresh and soft. I also really enjoy their side like potato salad, pasta salad, and Cole slaw. The service is also incredible. Some reviews mention a rude staff but I assure you, those people are too sensitive. This is run by an awesome northern crew with a fun, sarcastic (in a good way) attitude. They are also very kind. I come in with my grandmother when we get her hair done and she gets treated like a queen. When I go in without my grandmother, they ask about her. Now, does that sound like a rude staff? What successful business answers the phone with literally, "what do you want?" Are you kidding me? Should have hung up the phone but I thought maybe I was interrupting a robbery in progress and some thug answered the phone. It went downhill as i began working through my order and then as I started to ask, how long will that be and what is the total amount.....but as I spoke I heard CLICk. The phone was hung up. The food I picked up wasn't what I ordered and was about the same quality as a Walmart Italian sub. Not quite sure what the future holds for Ryan's but we won't be back. I've been working in customer service (retail & restaurant) for years and I have NEVER been so shocked. I called to order for pickup and this man answered the phone and says "what do you want"... not "thank you for calling Ryan's how can I help you"? At the end of the call, I started to ask how long it would be because he didn't take my name, give my total, or tell me how long it would be. As I started to ask, all I got out was "how long do you think-" and he hung up.. like how rude! This shop needs to do customer service training based on the other reviews too. Then when I went to get my food the man threw the subs on the counter and didn't say a word ringing me up. I'm a 100lb girl so I didn't confront him about the awful service out of safety. Also, my order was wrong. On the phone he kept rushing me so I don't think he even wrote down what I wanted.. I'll never go there ever again. read more

I don't know why there are bad reviews. This place was amazing. Boars head meats, hardy stacked sandwiches and plenty of side dishes to choose from. It was great! The staff was very friendly and helpful. One of my friends recommended it to me, and now I can't stop going. Plus they have Snapple! I miss Snapple so much. In South Carolina they really only sell Lemon and Peach flavors and I love love love the Raspberry flavor soooo much, and finally a place I can find a cold one and enjoy. I only finally went to the place two weeks ago, and have been back 2 times since. Oh and it's cheap! for a full sub I think it was around $8! For boar's head...common people! We ate a mediocre breakfast there. My first cup of coffee was lukewarm, but they did make fresh shortly thereafter. I paid $6 for a coffee and a short stack (two pancakes) on disposable plates with plastic utensils. You order over a deli counter, find a seat, and clean up after yourself. Food is exactly what you can get at food lion for much cheaper. The staff is extremely rude and full of themselves. They talk bad about all the other businesses in the Lil complex they are in. I find that very petty and juvenile. Those other businesses are trying to make ends meet just like you. Honestly the only reason reason I tried the other restaurants in that Plaza was cause they talked bad about them. I don't live on this part of town so won't make it that way often but when I do I'll eat the other places nearby. I had great experience at 2/3 of the other restaurants in that complex. If anyone from Ryan's Deli looks at this I just hope you learn that this isn't NY and that doesn't mean you shouldn't be yourself but it does mean you moved to another state that state didn't move to you. Be nicer to people. Also talking bad about other businesses like high school drama only makes you look bad not them. Even if you don't like them say something nice about them they are your neighbors. None of the other places said anything bad about you even after I voiced my opinions. They all were profesional in there answers. read more
