I cannot say enough good things about Robert and Ryan Electric. My wife and I recently bought a house in the Whittier area that hadn't seen much work since the 1960s. Naturally, the electrical panel and wiring needed an upgrade. After a bad experience with a personal referral to another electrician and a nightmarish experience getting a new electrical panel permitted by the City of Whittier, we thought we were out of the woods. We were wrong! Lots of issues started to reveal themselves when we finally moved in. Plugging things into outlets would trip circuits. Running the dishwasher tripped a separate circuit that the garbage disposal was on. It was terrible. Robert came to the rescue and for a very reasonable price, was able to diagnose AND FIX the problems in just a couple of hours. He caught things that were wired incorrectly that both our previous electrician and the city inspector(!) both missed. Robert has exceptional knowledge and expertise in electrical repairs and installation. He was amazingly patient as we decided on the height we wanted for our fan. We went back and forth not sure which way to go. He measured and showed us where the bottom of the fan would end up with the two options available, giving us time to make the best decision and it ended up perfectly placed. Robert and Kris work hard to make sure their customers are satisfied and even return customers. We had a wide range of electrical issues that Robert solved in a day. He installed our security cameras, ran lines through the attic, mounted exterior lighting, and added and moved light switches for our convenience. Understandably they needed to make some holes in our drywall to get the camera wires past a firebeam, or whatever it's called heh. While I was surprised to find our how large they were, he had a friend of his patch it up a few days later free of charge. Ryan Electric is Excellent! I had a partial outage that needed troubleshooting. Critical parts of the house needed power on due to working from home. I called other electricians who didn't respond. Fate would have it that Robert answered my call. He immediately came over to troubleshoot. He showed up quickly with all of the protocols (masks, distance, etc...) and his bag of tools. I will say this guy knows his business. I have an older home with a questionable wiring scheme from the 60's and he methodically and tenaciously went through the house to find the issue. He communicated everything and the different steps and what to look for. It took quite some effort but the genius tracked the culprit down. He also replaced various outlets with proper modern ones. Highly recommend Ryan Electric. Have been shopping around for a reliable and reasonably priced electrician to upgrade the vintage 1959 electrical panel that was only able to receive 100 amps. Modern homes easily use more than 100 amps. In addition, the 2016 added electrical subpanel with AC, microwave, furnace fan, and garage all on one 50 amp caused the circuit breaker to trip repeatedly. Ryan Electric gave us a quote, which we accepted. They advised us to call SCE to have work approved and meter unlocked prior to the appointment date. Work began about 2.5 weeks later and was completed in about one day except for stucco patch having to wait until the city inspector signed off on the upgrade. SCE came a few days later and locked up the meter. In addition, SCE changed out the roof power connections to SCE-approved connectors at no cost. It took a total of 7 days from start of demolition to SCE locking up the meter. Actual work was completed mostly in 8 hours. During the entire process, Ryan Electric was responsive to emails, texts, and calls. They handled pulling the permit and scheduling for post work. Outside of the initial contact with SCE to approve upgrade and unlocking meter, we really had nothing else to do. Ryan Electric does a great job of cleaning up their job site leaving it better than it was. I'd hire Ryan Electric again without any reservations. read more

I just want to thank Kris for helping me out with my wall outlet not working. I came home and notice that my tv in the living room is not working. I check the outlet and found out that all the outlet in the living is dead. I look at my circuit breaker and non of it is trip to off. I called multiple electrician company and to see how much they charge to see what's wrong with my panel. I would highly recommend Ryan Electric! Friendly faces, great attitude and very skilled in their trade. I called them out for what-I-thought were relatively minor issues, but as with many projects, what you assume is a small project turns into a larger one- to do it right anyways. Rather than having a bad attitude, or taking the easy way out, James and Joey were great. They presented the issue clearly, offered several options on how to proceed, and didn't leave out the option that is "harder" to save them effort or time. When i chose the more intense fix, they were happy to do it and executed the tasks with direction, precision and in a timely manner. Although they were supposed to only be at my project for 1-2 hours, they ended up being there about 7 hours and were pleasant throughout. Awhile back, my wife and I were expecting our first one and we wanted the house baby ready. we noticed some weird sounds that we thought were electrical.
