We bought a trailer from them in July. Our kids were horsing around and broke a cabinet door really badly. I thought we would just have to buy a whole new door but when I brought it in to ask about where and how to get a new one they fixed it better than I could have imagined and were extremely quick about it (I had said kids with me a they only got a little antsy waiting for it to be fixed). They were extremely kind and gracious about it. This is our first trailer, and I was nervous about being an owner. We have had two 5th wheel RV's and sold our last to a couple who lost everything in the Paradise fire a few years ago. Recently we started looking to get back in RVing. Checked out RVMAX on the recommendations of both a friend who purchased a 5th wheel there and another friend who owns a RV repair business nearby. Met Steve, a salesman and had the most enjoyable experience. As we were on a budget we were able to purchase a little used, 13-year old travel trailer that had just arrived on the lot. 13 years on a travel trailer is significant...but the A/C, heater, tires, flooring, water pump, upholstery and roof were all in excellent shape. Prior to our taking it off the lot they did several small repairs (roof sealant, gray water valve replacement, pressure washing, drawer repair, cleaning, etc.). It was their noteworthy customer care that while still on their property they allowed me to have the decals replaced For our first shake down trip, we had to cancel a weekend at the Beale AFB FamCamp and go directly into a 30-day stay in Oregon. There a couple other problems cropped up...only one side of the stereo worked and a few other minor things had to be looked at. Upon our return Jenna, Mike and Gary ensured all was repaired to our satisfaction....on their dime and on a 13 year old trailer...I was impressed! We've had our trailer for about 4 months now and we just found a soft spot in the floor that we missed during the pre delivery inspection. So it's been just over a year since I paid these people $10,000 for a 17 year old 19' travel trailer. Things have gone very bad from the start. The list of things wrong with it when I took possession of it. The roof leaked the first time it rained and did major damage. since then most every major component has had trouble . The refrigerator drips and is coming out of the hole. The oven does not work. The stereo does not work. The trailer brakes locked up and I had to have it moved home on a roll back. The wet vents for the sewer leak gas into the trailer. The p-trap on the shower broke and fell apart. The list goes on. Now if it had cost more like $4,000.00 I would feel that I was getting what I paid for. I trusted then and bought it site unseen while I was preparing to return from Hawaii based on the promise made by the salesman. (Walt) . When I arrived to pick it up I was given the bums rush. The owner said that his service man had an appointment to get as soon as possible. The walk through took about 10 minutes. Not enough time for me to find and ask about any or all the things I found wrong as soon as I got it home. I had to return to the lot 35 miles away three time and their attitude was far less than friendly, even to the point the owner (Mike) got in my face after I had picked a few items from the peg board in the shop(which had no keep out sign) to buy. (the show room had a long wall of peg board for the sale of related items but it was near empty.) They did reimburse me for the spare tire that had a big tear in the tread and the coating I had to put on the roof to prevent more water damage. I had to buy a new battery. The A/C cover blew off on the first time I took it out of town. I have since seen similar size trailers about the same year for less than $5,000. And quite a few that are only a few years old for just a little more that $10,000. Do your self a favor and don't buy used trailer from them with spending a few hours checking for problems current or potential issues that may arise in the near future. Very disappointing experience. We took our fifth wheel in to sell. At first, we were very happy because they promised they were not like any other RV dealers in that we agree upon a price, and RV Max will do any repairs not costing us any money, and give us our price. Well, turns out, the trailer was sold four weeks earlier without a word to us. Outside of no communication of when we should bring the pink slip in, now RV Max tells us all the items they had to fix on our trailer to sell it, (the contract clearly said we would not be charged for any needed repairs), they say they want $800 for new tires. We felt bad that they supposedly had a lot of repairs and so we agreed to "help them out" and pay for the tires, even though our contract clearly said there would be no extra charges. We trusted them when they said they would not get any more money than $4,000 over what they were going to give us. What a shock to see they listed the trailer on their website for over $9,000! It's so disappointing to think a business is reputable and something like this happens. So dumb on our part to agree to help him out and pay for the tires. I hope this review will save someone some money. read more

The BEST' experience I've ever had buying something at a dealership. There are two locations fairly close together with a wide selection of both new and used RVs. We had recent had a half way decent experience at another dealership. Until they came back with an astronomical APR. we were bummed cause we weren't gonna get an RV cause we were made to think we had a poor credit score. We swung by RVMax just dreaming of eventually owning another RV. We were greeted immediately... ill keep it short, we ended up with a bigger nicer RV for less.. best part is... half the APR from the big box retailer/dealership. They didn't have the 'brand new rv' we wanted, they made a call to a rep and got us an even better rv at a lower cost and delivered with 'red carpet' service. Avoid these liars like the plague. Went to look at 2 of their class a motorhomes and right away I could see that they were buying used and trashed units and trying to give them a fresh look. New flooring (and poorly installed) on a 8 yo class a?? They have no ownership or repair histories on their rv's and when I did find a previous owners manual with repair receipts, they took it and would not let me see it. I suggest people take a moisture meter (inexpensive at $30. at Home Depot) and poke around near the walls/ceiling and you will likely detect moisture which is the kiss of death to a rv. Always check their prices on NADA as that will give you the low and average retail pricing. Everything I looked at was overpriced by a lot with some as much as $15,000 over. Don't waste your time here. Can't even imagine if one needed a repair. read more

These are fabulous people and I recommend RVMax without reservation. They treated me - and continue to treat me - so very well. I bought a used travel trailer from them and when I took it out for its maiden voyage I found a few things were out of whack with it (not apparent when I picked the trailer up). I went back to them, as they had promised they would take care of anything that was wrong with it, and they were true to their word. The awning was not secure and control panel did not properly indicate the battery condition. They worked on those things until they were fixed to my satisfaction. Mike, Jenna, Nathan, and Susan are wonderful, warm people who wanted to make sure I was happy and satisfied with my purchase. We bought our Trailer from Walt at the Rocklin location. Nice guy and after an hour of looking at this used 18' Nomad, we decided to purchase it. Although we paid cash and could have purchased a trailer from anywhere or any private party, we decided to buy from RV Max. First because we believe in buying from the small American Business owner and second Walt assured us that if anything stopped working soon after our purchase that they would get it fixed. I guess my experience isn't the norm. Must have been a bad day for them. I went to the Loomis location looking for specific trailer I saw on RV trader .com. I sent them a message through the rvtrader site with no response. So I looked them up on their web site and called them. The trailer I was interested in was still there. Later that day I showed up to see it. The sales guy was with someone else. We briefly spoke then went to check out the trailer. He joined us as we were inside the unit. We chatted a bit and I told him it was priced a little above our price range. His whole attitude changed. He proceeded to go on and on about how he's been in this business for 18 years and he knows what he's doing. Basically told us to go somewhere else and find a trailer. We sold our old trailer a few weeks ago and plan to buy another larger newer unit this fall. Our neighbors said they're friends with the owner and we would treated right by them.
