Since you seem to respond defensively to anyone who has had issues, I feel it's important to clarify exactly what happened during our rental. First, yes, we did call you. At that time the alarm had finally stopped, but that was after it had gone off repeatedly at 1:30am, 1:45am, 1:50am, 2:00am, and 2:05am. Every time we reset it, it would stop briefly and then start again. At one point it changed from a normal beeping pattern to a loud siren-type noise that sounded like an emergency evacuation alarm. We opened doors to air it out, powered everything down to be safe, and still could not get consistent rest. At 3:30am it went off again and we had no choice but to evacuate the RV. Thankfully my parents were nearby and we had somewhere to go, but we lost an entire night of use. We were traveling with a TWO-year-old, who was repeatedly woken up throughout the night. That alone should have warranted more than a $20 generator credit. We did not continue calling in the middle of the night for two reasons:     1    We were in an area with poor cell service, and     2    Our priority was calming our child and finding a safe place to sleep, not making repeated late-night phone calls when nothing could realistically be fixed remotely. We ended up staying in my parents' RV for two full nights because we could not safely use yours. This was a $1,200 rental for four nights, and the initial compensation offered was six hours of generator use. The generator costs $3/hour. That equals $18. Offering $18 back after losing half the trip is honestly insulting. On the third night, when we tried staying in it again, the alarm went off at 1am yet again. At that point we disconnected the battery and slept without heat or power in roughly 30-degree weather with our toddler just to stop the alarm. The fourth night was the same. We essentially paid for a functioning RV that we could not safely use. You stated there was no leak and that the batteries tested fine. If that is the case, please explain why the alarms kept going off. When we returned the RV, we performed a bubble test that clearly showed a leak. I saw it, my husband saw it, my father saw it, and Eric, you acknowledged seeing it as well and said it was serious enough to discuss with the owner. Now you are claiming there was no leak, which contradicts what happened in person. Even if you believe there was no leak, the alarms alone made the RV unusable. Regarding the water tanks: we were asked to sign paperwork before being shown the RV. During the walkthrough, your employee mentioned the grey water tank was reading partially full and said she would check and empty it if needed. That never happened. When we filled the fresh water tank at home and later used the shower, the grey tank filled quickly while the fresh tank was only half empty. That indicates the grey tank was already partially full when we received it. The water that soaked our belongings on the drive home did not come from the bathroom, despite what you suggested. The toilet and shower were dry. We still do not know the source, but it ruined clothing and even damaged a backpack containing my husband's work laptop. On its own this would have been frustrating, but combined with everything else it made the experience unacceptable. As for compensation, you initially offered $18. After we pushed back, you offered $200 and a "free night" on a future rental. We do not want a free night because we do not plan on renting from you again. That offer only benefits your business in the long run. We would have liked atleast a partial refund because we could not use the RV for a significant portion of the trip. We have been RVing for over 20 years. We understand that issues can happen, but the way this was handled lacked compassion and accountability. Instead of acknowledging the problems, you have repeatedly minimized them and argued with customers publicly. For anyone reading this review: our experience was multiple nights of alarms, unsafe conditions, disrupted sleep with a toddler, and compensation that did not reflect the severity of the situation. After doing my online research and visiting several RV dealerships, I decided to purchase a Forest River Rockwood 2205S travel trailer with all the available options, including the Power Package upgrade (which added over $10K to the cost). Since no dealer stocked this high-end configuration, I needed to place a factory order with a 90-day delivery timeline. I contacted three local RV dealers who carry Rockwood or Flagstaff models and provided detailed ordering information--colors, options, and everything else--and asked for quotes. "Adorable RV" should be this business's name. I needed a 7-pin harness installed and a blue tooth brake controller on my new 2023 Outback Premium in order to haul a new Aliner 15' trailer. I was skeptical on the blue tooth concept and the overall 7-pin harness installation. Subaru service center only supports and installs 4-pin tow kits so I needed the current installation upgraded to a 7-pin. Also, being that my car is a lease, I was bound to Subaru on the installation since having an after market tow kit installed by someone else would void the car warranty. After paying Subaru almost $900 for the 4-pin tow kit, it cost me an additional $650 to have the 7-pin work done and purchase of the blue tooth brake controller. After doing a lot of research on the BT brake controller, speaking with multiple RV repair places, Affordable RV in New Castle put my mind at ease they could do the work I needed to get my car ready to take delivery and tow my new Aliner LXE. A side note, Camping World in Roseville, Rick or Rich I think was his name flat out said they wouldn't touch it. His manager told the service team because these newer cars are so computerized they're not allowed to touch them. This seemed odd since a lot of new vehicles, including trucks are computerized. And the simple process of installing hitch kits and brake controllers is what most RV repair departments do. And, when I mentioned Affordable RV as part of my research, he kept saying they're Camping World's competitors. Well, no wonder when you turn customers away from work you base your brand on. Jeesh! Eric and Eddie were awesome at Affordable RV. Kind, professional and knowledgeable! They did the work, walked me through what they did from back to front. Even tested the BT brake controller using a simulator that tested the app and that the device worked. They will be my go to place for any future RV service. We rented a 24 foot class C standard motor home for our trip to Crater Lake, OR over the Labor Day weekend. Although we were able to enjoy our Very first RV trip there were a couple of anxiety producing events and disappointments. So the day that you pick up RV you need to arrive at 2:30 for instruction and tutorial of RV and operations. We videoed the tech and suggest you do since he goes thru it very quickly and it's good to have as reference during your trip. So problem one was refrigerator was not cold upon pick up and tech said to plug it in when we got home and give him a text. It was nice that he provided his cell number as my husband troubleshooted with him throughout the evening and still no cold fridge. As it got later my husband decided to flip switch to gas as one last effort then went to purchase a huge cooler and ice blocks to load our fridge items. Ok so Next morning fridge was cold, yay! But since we already spent on a cooler and ice we decided to pack it anyway just in case fridge went out. We arrived safely at campsite and friends helped us hook up sewer hose and electric. Problem two was discovering there was a leak at connector of black water hose. This means any black/ gray water would leak on campground upon emptying. Luckily our camp had a nice brand new bathroom with showers and we opted to use those toilets for to avoid spilling black water on site. Problem 3: our oven was not working on the night we planned to bake our dinner. Luckily we were able to use our friends oven. So although there were mishaps we were still able to enjoy our trip with the help of having friends to help us out. The owner of the company has agreed to credit us for 2 days on next rental of at least 4 days. I asked for 2 days credit since the first day of rental is pretty much wasted since you bring the RV home late in afternoon and still need to pack up and by that time it's getting dark. You probably won't be trekking out in the dark. Also the last night of rental that you pay for, your RV sits at home because you need to clean it out that last day before returning RV. So it's really 2 nts you pay for but are not on the road. I must add that customer service was very good and everyone we encountered were friendly and made us feel comfortable renting from them. We bought a new to us RV this summer from another dealer. First thing I did was get to close to a tree and damage the slide-out awning. I was pleasantly surprised how inexpensive it was to have replaced. We had them add solar which they had to wire for. 4 AGM batteries to replace 2 deep cycle so they had to modify the battery platform. Re-attach a mud flap that we found dangling. Install electric brakes on our Honda and set us up to tow. Fix a slide that was not sliding as expected and a laundry list of little things. The slide they had to redo as it still was not right, the poor tech was so embarrassed. They got it fixed in record time. Just rented an RV for the first time EVER to attend a destination wedding. After much research, the best value I could find was at Affordable RV . Right here in my own home town! I do not recommend using affordable RV. They not only sent us out with beat up RV the tire blew out in the first hour only to find out the brakes were almost completly worn down. Thankfully we were not on the windy mountain roads with our family when this happened. They did help us get the tire repaired and lost a day of our family vacation. We did back into something and when reporting this to have repaired for them by our insurance thay tried to add on everything they could to have the insurance company pay for it! We went to pick the rented RV at the assigned time but some repair was being done so we needed to wait. The RV was a clunker. The right side view mirror was jammed so it could not be adjusted. Loose appliance parts made loud noise when we drove. The pull out shade unrolled as we were driving on the freeway. Luckily another driver nearby warned us, so we were able to turn onto an exit and stop to roll the shade back. If the fellow driver hadn't warned us, we could have gotten into an accident. Never have I rented a POS as some people say here. Always new RV's (within 2 years) and they all always work. 2. Never have I had something not work or fail. If you're the type of person that doesn't understand what it takes to dry camp or rassion water, electricity, etc... then YOU are a dumb azz and need to understand that you are not at home and CONSERVE. 3. The Staff: Paula & Steve are real people, and they are no B.S., NEVER have I been mistreated or disrespected. They are the real deal and always making sure that whatever you rent, is in top notch working order. 4. Summary: I went here for service on my 1995 Gulf Stream RV. Although the people in the office were very nice, because of the small size of their operation, they were unable to effect the repairs I needed done. I needed work done on the A/C in the cabin, and the generator. They told me up front that they would not be able to do the work on the A/C in the cabin, but that they would be able to certify that the generator was still working fine so that I could sell it with a good conscience. They looked at the oil levels and were able to tell me there was a leak where the exhaust comes out of the generator, but were unable to fix it and, instead, "fixed" the bent tube coming out of the unit. Nowhere on the paperwork did it say the generator was functioning within working parameters--which was the whole point--so I could sell the RV. They didn't even state whether they changed the oil or not, so it was difficult to tell if they did anything other than a visual inspection. I try and go to mom & pop places when I can, but next time I'll go to Camping World where I know they'll be able to do the work and finish what they started, explaining _exactly_ what was done thereafter. read more

We took our 5th wheel in to Affordable RV for an issue we had with the jacks and slider system operating intermittently (they are an authorized Lippert dealer). We had taken the unit into Prairie RV (they weren't able to figure out the problem), then Camping World. CW told us this was a common problem (you would think the manufacturer would have designed the capacity of their electrical systems correctly) and recommended that hydraulic electrical connection be re-wired and isolated to its own circuit. After spending considerable $$$ to make the retrofit (they added wiring direct to the battery and put a 100A breaker inline), we found we had the same problems while out camping except now the breaker they installed would pop and we would have to reset it 2 or 3 times every time we tried to retract the slides or jacks. A little frustrated with CW, we looked around for another shop, found Affordable RV and took a chance on them. Wow. What a professional outfit. Their tech, Eddie, greeted us when we dropped off the unit and asked lots of questions about the issue and subsequently figured out that CW had mis-wired the battery connections and recommended that we remove the 100A breaker that CW installed and return to a 50A breaker that would be more than sufficient for the hydraulic electrical circuit. Eddie also indicated that putting in a 100A breaker was dangerous because it was way overrated and could potentially cause an electrical fire if the hydraulic system was drawing too much current. It's hard to believe CW would make a change that could end up being a disaster. All said, we are really happy with our Affordable RV experience. The whole process check-in through check-out was great and we would recommend them and will return to them for any future repair work.
