pretty much a seamless transaction from start to finish ! Eric was great to work with and we felt that we could trust him. so much so that we chose to buy from Affordable over a dealership that was less than a mile away from our home. one might say that that's not that big of a deal but considering we live in another state and the price was exactly the same for the unit we purchased I think it's saying a lot about Eric and this dealership. The financing was smooth and communication was great Dean Nevada read more

Since you seem to respond defensively to anyone who has had issues, I feel it's important to clarify exactly what happened during our rental. First, yes, we did call you. At that time the alarm had finally stopped, but that was after it had gone off repeatedly at 1:30am, 1:45am, 1:50am, 2:00am, and 2:05am. Every time we reset it, it would stop briefly and then start again. At one point it changed from a normal beeping pattern to a loud siren-type noise that sounded like an emergency evacuation alarm. We opened doors to air it out, powered everything down to be safe, and still could not get consistent rest. At 3:30am it went off again and we had no choice but to evacuate the RV. Thankfully my parents were nearby and we had somewhere to go, but we lost an entire night of use. We were traveling with a TWO-year-old, who was repeatedly woken up throughout the night. That alone should have warranted more than a $20 generator credit. We did not continue calling in the middle of the night for two reasons:     1    We were in an area with poor cell service, and     2    Our priority was calming our child and finding a safe place to sleep, not making repeated late-night phone calls when nothing could realistically be fixed remotely. We ended up staying in my parents' RV for two full nights because we could not safely use yours. This was a $1,200 rental for four nights, and the initial compensation offered was six hours of generator use. The generator costs $3/hour. That equals $18. Offering $18 back after losing half the trip is honestly insulting. On the third night, when we tried staying in it again, the alarm went off at 1am yet again. At that point we disconnected the battery and slept without heat or power in roughly 30-degree weather with our toddler just to stop the alarm. The fourth night was the same. We essentially paid for a functioning RV that we could not safely use. You stated there was no leak and that the batteries tested fine. If that is the case, please explain why the alarms kept going off. When we returned the RV, we performed a bubble test that clearly showed a leak. I saw it, my husband saw it, my father saw it, and Eric, you acknowledged seeing it as well and said it was serious enough to discuss with the owner. Now you are claiming there was no leak, which contradicts what happened in person. Even if you believe there was no leak, the alarms alone made the RV unusable. Regarding the water tanks: we were asked to sign paperwork before being shown the RV. During the walkthrough, your employee mentioned the grey water tank was reading partially full and said she would check and empty it if needed. That never happened. When we filled the fresh water tank at home and later used the shower, the grey tank filled quickly while the fresh tank was only half empty. That indicates the grey tank was already partially full when we received it. The water that soaked our belongings on the drive home did not come from the bathroom, despite what you suggested. The toilet and shower were dry. We still do not know the source, but it ruined clothing and even damaged a backpack containing my husband's work laptop. On its own this would have been frustrating, but combined with everything else it made the experience unacceptable. As for compensation, you initially offered $18. After we pushed back, you offered $200 and a "free night" on a future rental. We do not want a free night because we do not plan on renting from you again. That offer only benefits your business in the long run. We would have liked atleast a partial refund because we could not use the RV for a significant portion of the trip. We have been RVing for over 20 years. We understand that issues can happen, but the way this was handled lacked compassion and accountability. Instead of acknowledging the problems, you have repeatedly minimized them and argued with customers publicly. For anyone reading this review: our experience was multiple nights of alarms, unsafe conditions, disrupted sleep with a toddler, and compensation that did not reflect the severity of the situation. Based on this experience, I would not recommend this company. read more

We bought a used 5th wheel from affordable RV. They answered all of out questions, performed a comprehensive check before we took possession and showed us how to operate everything on the vehicle. They were patient with us, did all the paperwork and delivered the trailer since we need to purchase a larger vehicle. The process was seamless and we will work with these folks again. read more

The whole process was super easy, and I can't wait to rent from them again! They took their time to show me everything I needed to know about the RV I rented and they even gave me an afterhours number to call if I had any issues. Their prices beat out others in the area and another bonus is they are a family-owned business. I look forward to my next adventure and going back to Affordable Rvs! read more

Excellent Travel Trailer Purchase Experience! After doing my online research and visiting several RV dealerships, I decided to purchase a Forest River Rockwood 2205S travel trailer with all the available options, including the Power Package upgrade (which added over $10K to the cost). Since no dealer stocked this high-end configuration, I needed to place a factory order with a 90-day delivery timeline. I contacted three local RV dealers who carry Rockwood or Flagstaff models and provided detailed ordering information--colors, options, and everything else--and asked for quotes. The most competitive and responsive offer came from Eric at Affordable RV. He was knowledgeable, easy to work with, and always available to answer questions. I never felt like he was playing the usual "sales game"--he came across as a straight shooter, which I appreciated. I placed the order through Eric, and over the 90-day wait, he remained responsive to my occasional questions. The delivery walk-through went smoothly, and Eric also followed up to help me get a few missing owner's manuals. Overall, the buying process was smooth and painless, and I felt the price was fair. I'm hopeful the service department at Affordable RV matches the quality of their sales experience. Bottom line: if you're in the market for a new travel trailer, I highly recommend working with Eric at Affordable RV. read more

I know I may sound like a broken record on the service my family has received from Affordable RV in Auburn. AKA Dora, Dassen, Steven and company! I can't say enough about Affordable RV and their exceptional service--especially Josh, their service technician. He quite literally saved my family and me from a potential disaster. While servicing our wheel bearings, Josh noticed something that could have easily gone unnoticed: our brand new tires were on the verge of a catastrophic failure. This kind of attention to detail, expertise, and genuine care for the customer is exactly what you hope for when you're relying on someone to ensure your safety. Josh didn't just call my attention to the problem--he went above and beyond to make sure we wouldn't be stranded or worse. The peace of mind I have now knowing that our RV is in tip-top shape is priceless. The team at Affordable RV is top-tier, and Josh is an absolute gem. I am beyond grateful for their incredible service. If you're looking for quality, honesty, and technicians who truly care about their customers' safety, look no further. They've earned a lifelong customer in us! Did I mention while preforming my requested repairs, they fit in my roof repairs also before letting me take my travel trailer home.New skylights installed all at the same time. Sounds too good to be true right? Not so, this family owned first class business is even getting better with age. If you want to be treated fair, have your rv serviced correctly, at a fair price, your missing the boat if you don't at least get a service appointment, see what they say you need and go from there. They are super busy. Call early and get an appointment. Steven led me to look at a brand new WDH by Curt model 17510. Look it up. I couldn't be happier. Not your Dads WDH. I love it. Purchasing a travel trailer is an expense that warrants good research before buying. I had done a fair bit before buying our Rockwood 2618 from Affordable RV. Dora was so helpful with her knowlege and yet not pushy at all that I was very comfortable from the start of the process to the end. We wanted specific features with our trailer, Dora made the special order process simple and smooth giving us updates on the production of our trailer. Eric did the walkthrough when we took receipt, which went smoothly. He did a thorough job making sure we had a good understanding of all the features and how to use them. I have since needed some guidance from Eric, he was responsive and a real help with the questions I had. Wes did some hitch adjustments with our truck that were needed before leaving. He was very accommodating and it was clear he knew exactly what he was doing. I felt very comfortable with the work he did. The ultimate question regarding these large transactions is, "would you do it again knowing what I know now"? The answer is YES without hesitation! read more

"Adorable RV" should be this business's name. I needed a 7-pin harness installed and a blue tooth brake controller on my new 2023 Outback Premium in order to haul a new Aliner 15' trailer. I was skeptical on the blue tooth concept and the overall 7-pin harness installation. Subaru service center only supports and installs 4-pin tow kits so I needed the current installation upgraded to a 7-pin. Also, being that my car is a lease, I was bound to Subaru on the installation since having an after market tow kit installed by someone else would void the car warranty. After paying Subaru almost $900 for the 4-pin tow kit, it cost me an additional $650 to have the 7-pin work done and purchase of the blue tooth brake controller. After doing a lot of research on the BT brake controller, speaking with multiple RV repair places, Affordable RV in New Castle put my mind at ease they could do the work I needed to get my car ready to take delivery and tow my new Aliner LXE. A side note, Camping World in Roseville, Rick or Rich I think was his name flat out said they wouldn't touch it. His manager told the service team because these newer cars are so computerized they're not allowed to touch them. This seemed odd since a lot of new vehicles, including trucks are computerized. And the simple process of installing hitch kits and brake controllers is what most RV repair departments do. And, when I mentioned Affordable RV as part of my research, he kept saying they're Camping World's competitors. Well, no wonder when you turn customers away from work you base your brand on. Jeesh! Eric and Eddie were awesome at Affordable RV. Kind, professional and knowledgeable! They did the work, walked me through what they did from back to front. Even tested the BT brake controller using a simulator that tested the app and that the device worked. They will be my go to place for any future RV service. Got the trailer, hooked it up and towed beautifully with no issues. I am a Happy Camper! read more

We rented a 24 foot class C standard motor home for our trip to Crater Lake, OR over the Labor Day weekend. Although we were able to enjoy our Very first RV trip there were a couple of anxiety producing events and disappointments. So the day that you pick up RV you need to arrive at 2:30 for instruction and tutorial of RV and operations. We videoed the tech and suggest you do since he goes thru it very quickly and it's good to have as reference during your trip. So problem one was refrigerator was not cold upon pick up and tech said to plug it in when we got home and give him a text. It was nice that he provided his cell number as my husband troubleshooted with him throughout the evening and still no cold fridge. As it got later my husband decided to flip switch to gas as one last effort then went to purchase a huge cooler and ice blocks to load our fridge items. Ok so Next morning fridge was cold, yay! But since we already spent on a cooler and ice we decided to pack it anyway just in case fridge went out. We arrived safely at campsite and friends helped us hook up sewer hose and electric. Problem two was discovering there was a leak at connector of black water hose. This means any black/ gray water would leak on campground upon emptying. Luckily our camp had a nice brand new bathroom with showers and we opted to use those toilets for to avoid spilling black water on site. Problem 3: our oven was not working on the night we planned to bake our dinner. Luckily we were able to use our friends oven. So although there were mishaps we were still able to enjoy our trip with the help of having friends to help us out. The owner of the company has agreed to credit us for 2 days on next rental of at least 4 days. I asked for 2 days credit since the first day of rental is pretty much wasted since you bring the RV home late in afternoon and still need to pack up and by that time it's getting dark. You probably won't be trekking out in the dark. Also the last night of rental that you pay for, your RV sits at home because you need to clean it out that last day before returning RV. So it's really 2 nts you pay for but are not on the road. I must add that customer service was very good and everyone we encountered were friendly and made us feel comfortable renting from them. We hope our next experience will get 5 stars! read more

My wife and I bought a class B Van to travel and visit grand kids all of whom live off I 5, L.A. to Portland. The van we purchased was new and unfortunately for us chose this trip to show factory failures. In the Central Valley we learned the A/C did not work. We travelled on to the Roseville, Ca and I contacted several dealer authorized factory repair companies, no help. On my way out of town, at the recommendation from a friend, I stopped at Affordable R.V. They too, were busy but the very pleasant, totally awesome woman that greeted us had one of their technicians take a glance at it. 5 minutes, problem found and fixed. Two weeks later, my wife an I are somewhere in Montana heading for as many National Parks as we can hit. The air is needed, without it we'd be forced into motels. Our gratitude and thanks to all at Affordable RV. Without your help our 44th wedding anniversary epic road trip would have hit the skids! read more

Just another of many positive experiences with Affordable RV! I had a idea of checking out another shop, close to Affordable's New Castle location for service on my Chassis when affordable is booked and or can not preform my needed service. ( like a Brake Job on my motorhome). Without going into details of the other shops failures, I can share that Affordable understanding my issues got me in within two weeks, preformed inspections on the other shops work, fixed/replaced a sewer vent cap that the other shop could not do and or understand what was needed! Dora the owner, her head tech Dassen and all of their employees really care, seriously care about their customers. That's hard to find anywhere and even harder to find a RV repair shop that knows what they are doing, care about the customer, and charges fair prices for labor and parts. I wanted to take a few minutes to tell you about my experience buying my new travel trailer. We have worked with Eric Accomazzo exclusively during the entire process. He was tremendous at answering all our many, many questions. Because we needed to be careful with Covid-19 and staying masked up and at a distance Eric made that happen. I am totally grateful for that. Eric went out of his way to keep us comfortable during the paper signing process inside our trailer with the A/C on which worked out great. Eric also made us a YouTube video explaining how the entire trailer worked. Again a great way to social distance. Plus we can watch it many times if we need to. I would agree they did rent me two RVs. The first one was very nice. The second one was a piece of crap. The toilet stunk and it was literally falling apart. The floor was soft. We bought a new to us RV this summer from another dealer. First thing I did was get to close to a tree and damage the slide-out awning. I was pleasantly surprised how inexpensive it was to have replaced. We had them add solar which they had to wire for. 4 AGM batteries to replace 2 deep cycle so they had to modify the battery platform. Re-attach a mud flap that we found dangling. Install electric brakes on our Honda and set us up to tow. Fix a slide that was not sliding as expected and a laundry list of little things. The slide they had to redo as it still was not right, the poor tech was so embarrassed. They got it fixed in record time. The staff has all been friendly and patient with out many questions. read more

I have been renting from Paula at Affordable RV for the past 5 years. We started out renting a small trailer, but as the family has grown have rented a larger motor home every year. We always have had a great experience renting from them, prices are good and they are very fair. Paula remembers me by name every year that I call, which I appreciate. We have rented from other corporate RV rental agencies in the past, but usually their rigs are really beat up- like Vegas bachelor party beat up. That is what I like about Affordable RV- they get new rigs every few years so they are always clean and reliable. Even my wife is impressed with how consistently spotless they are. I do not recommend using affordable RV. They not only sent us out with beat up RV the tire blew out in the first hour only to find out the brakes were almost completly worn down. Thankfully we were not on the windy mountain roads with our family when this happened. They did help us get the tire repaired and lost a day of our family vacation. We did back into something and when reporting this to have repaired for them by our insurance thay tried to add on everything they could to have the insurance company pay for it! My name is Mike and I am a REAL customer. I was not paid or asked to write this. I don't know any one personally at Affordable RV. Just sharing my experience over the past 4 years. I live in Auburn. Over the past 4 years I have been a customer on the retail side for my 5th wheel (recently sold) and on the rental side. Retail Side: 1. Working with Dora and her team, I have experienced nothing less than A+ Service. Prices are always fair, selection top notch and custom ordered parts, timely and as described 2. This isn't a camping world or big box store.... this is a local, small business that has what you need at affordable prices, and saving you a trip down the hill or having to order online. 3. Example: Got a brand new awning for my 5th wheel....installed $400 I mean come on, trying getting that price and service at a Big Box Store...easily $600+ Rental Side: Over the past 2 years since selling my 5th Wheel, I've been dealing with Paula & Steve. These two run the Rental Center. I have rented 6 times as we take 3 trips a year. Matter of fact, just returned my RV yesterday after going to Silver Lake. 1. Never have I rented a POS as some people say here. Always new RV's (within 2 years) and they all always work. 2. Never have I had something not work or fail. If you're the type of person that doesn't understand what it takes to dry camp or rassion water, electricity, etc... then YOU are a dumb azz and need to understand that you are not at home and CONSERVE. 3. The Staff: Paula & Steve are real people, and they are no B.S., NEVER have I been mistreated or disrespected. They are the real deal and always making sure that whatever you rent, is in top notch working order. 4. These two are always very conscious of your need and do there very best to manage the entire rental process from soup to nuts. 5. I know there are people behind the scenes that make them look good, so wanting to send Kudo's there way. In Closing: In my opinion, 95% of people will go out of there way to write about a bad experience. I will go out of my way to write about a bad experience but also a good experience. Affordable RV is a locally run business that offers a wide selection of rentals and service. If you had a bad experience, maybe reach out to Dora and let her know so she can fix it. If ya had a good experience, then try and share it and help promote local business. Mike Auburn, CA read more

Summary: I went here for service on my 1995 Gulf Stream RV. Although the people in the office were very nice, because of the small size of their operation, they were unable to effect the repairs I needed done. I needed work done on the A/C in the cabin, and the generator. They told me up front that they would not be able to do the work on the A/C in the cabin, but that they would be able to certify that the generator was still working fine so that I could sell it with a good conscience. They looked at the oil levels and were able to tell me there was a leak where the exhaust comes out of the generator, but were unable to fix it and, instead, "fixed" the bent tube coming out of the unit. Nowhere on the paperwork did it say the generator was functioning within working parameters--which was the whole point--so I could sell the RV. They didn't even state whether they changed the oil or not, so it was difficult to tell if they did anything other than a visual inspection. I try and go to mom & pop places when I can, but next time I'll go to Camping World where I know they'll be able to do the work and finish what they started, explaining _exactly_ what was done thereafter. read more

We went to pick the rented RV at the assigned time but some repair was being done so we needed to wait. The RV was a clunker. The right side view mirror was jammed so it could not be adjusted.
