They are all friendly and helpful and anything you need before you buy, then once they have you and you need something don't expect friendly and helpful anymore. Rude and instantly went to must be user error and we will charge you if it is. Just a bad taste in your mouth from the difference in personality before purchasing after purchase. Plus, they were supposed to include the tripod that came with ours and we reminded them multiple times before purchase and during the walk-through and it still got delivered without it. I purchase a motorhome for over a hundred thousand dollars cash They were to meet me in Reno to take delivery They are great at acting They gave me the unit and I tried to go to DMV and it would go I couldn't get from stop light to stop light and even stay with traffi. I nursed it all the way back to Auburn. It took me four hours to get there. They took the coach back. Oh, we're gonna take care of this. I'm sure it's something simple and all this stuff in the morning they call me at four come get it we Had to go ahead and go. They assured me then that they were send somebody out and whatever it was take care of it. The guy came out, looked at it and he needed us to take it to Cummings. They also the left camera was out and they said oh just find the camera. We couldn't find one as soon as you find one pay for it and we'll put it in for you. That's not going to happen. The guy came out and looked at the coach like I said and said he's gotta go to Cummings now they dodged me for two weeks and when I get on the phone with him, he's bitching and moaning that he can And you know I've already had somebody look at it. Well, they didn't have somebody fix it and then just hangs up on me. I am going to sue them. They are so sweet, but it's sickening and it's all phony baloney acting because they tagged you one says oh we're gonna make sure that mechanically and that this coach is perfect and ready for you and then they literally deliver it not even running. We had thought of RV downsizing for awhile and finally made the decision to go for it! We knew what we wanted and also knew we would purchase from a private party as we have done in the past. After doing a search nationwide we found the perfect match in CA, just 3 hours away, but it was on a sales lot. We jumped in the car and drove to take a look. It was exactly what we wanted and all of the RVs here were exceptionally clean and well priced. We appreciated Glen's laid back, no-pressure style and he obviously knew his business, but still hesitant, we went home and thought about it for a week or so. Once we made up our mind and called Glen, all our fears disappeared. We had gotten pre-qualified for a loan but Glen had suggested contacting a local bank. Sure glad we listened to him! Since we had an account with the same bank our interest rate was much better. Because we lived some distance away and our signatures were needed we stayed overnight in Auburn. Couldn't leave the dogs behind so they enjoyed the air conditioning at RV Connection while we took care of business. What could be better than a dog-friendly RV dealer?! Me and my Wife sold our trailer at the end of last year because we wanted to upgrade. We have spent months looking for the right size, layout and price and really were getting a bit discouraged. Then on a random Craigslist search we found the trailer we wanted at RV Connection. I called immediately and scheduled a visit to see it. Glen Sr. promised to hold it for us until we arrived to view it. We drove up from San Francisco on a Saturday and immediately knew we wanted it. I gave him my ID to copy and we reserved it for pickup the following weekend. The next weekend we arrive to pickup the trailer it was washed and ready for us to take. They threw in a starter kit which included some septic hoses and other convenient accessories. This is a nice touch that they didn't have to do. I was most impressed at this stage of the transaction when Glen Jr. came out and began giving us the trailer walk through. I'm so used to dealing with know-it-all hard attitude people when it comes to trailers or anything remotely "manly". I'm not sure what it is but there always has to be this attitude of "I know more than you and you shouldn't be asking me any questions." I'm not a jerk so when I call places or interact I'm trying to be respectful and ask questions which rarely are received with helpful responses. So.... Glen spent so much time pointing out all the ins and outs of the trailer system and answering questions. We knew a lot about trailer systems but were happy to hear repeat data and some new data about this specific model. I can't tell you how excited we are to not have to go outside now to light our water heater pilot light. And having a powered awning is a game changer for sure. After the walk through we went inside to talk to Glen Sr. who literally wrapped up the paperwork in 5 minutes. No BS, no annoyances and no hidden fees. We then went outside and went to put our hitch on our truck. At this point our hitch lock would not open. Glen Jr. helped us break the frozen lock and set us up with a new pin to keep our hitch in place. I backed up my truck to the trailer coupling and at that point Glen Jr. proceeded to completely adjust my weight distributing hitch. He measured and disassembled my hitch and put it all back together to be properly aligned with the new trailer weight and height. This kind of service was completely above and beyond what I was expecting and was done without me asking and with no additional charge. I'm grateful and appreciate this kind of service. I will definitely recommend them for anything RV related to anyone that asks. I can't wait to take our trailer out soon. read more

Do NOT do business with this person. We drove 45 minutes to view a motor home we were very interested in. The initial walk through was fine but it took 15 minutes to have the owner finally decide to join us. He only stayed a moment however before he decided that he needed to make phone calls rather than show us the features of the motor home. After we figured out it was up to us to discover how everything worked, we spent another 20 minutes on our own opening closets, doors and the rest. We asked him to get the key and power it up as without power nothing can really be checked for proper operation. He seemed to get upset that we would want to actually see things work but begrudgingly got the keys and started it, walked away and it was left up to us to explore the features and equipment as he made more important phone calls. It was at this point that we were interested enough to see how it actually performed on the road and we naturally asked for a test drive. The owner stated that the only way we could go for a test drive was to first make a commitment to purchase the vehicle. it should be noted at this point that we were looking to purchase something that costs way more than $100,000.00. I believe that most people would want to be assured that the vehicle was at least suitable before committing to a +100k purchase. The most common way to determine that is by a test drive. We have have been looking to purchase an RV and have been to most of the dealers in the Sacto area. The other dealers fully understand and expect that consumers that are spending 100 to 250 thousand dollars would want to do a test drive and are eager to have you take their vehicles on the road. We have only had test drives with one other RV and declined all the rest of the other test drive offers. When we expressed some concern that we were being asked to commit to a purchase before we had even determined if the vehicle was suitable or not, he stated that he has a policy of "No Joy Rides". When we said we were not interested in a joy ride but rather a test to determine if we even liked the vehicle, he said "I will say it again so there is no misunderstanding, no test drive unless you commit to purchasing the vehicle". It was at that point I figured out that the owner was simply not serious. I told him that he can have any policy he likes but I am free to go else where. We started to return to our car and leave when the owner decided to outright insult me and said "It's too bad you are too simple minded to understand" his policy. When the shock wore off from this alleged "businessmans" direct insult, I told him insulting me was a poor choice to try to make a sale. He said "I didn't have a sale when you came in and I still don't so I don't care". Really? This is how you treat potential customers BEFORE the sale? The post sale could only be a nightmare. We have been RV shopping for the last month and thought we finally found the one for us. We are not tire kickers looking to blow a few hours, we were and are wealthy retirees looking for an RV to explore the country in. To be looked at as some sort of time wasting teenager that is unworthy of his effort unless we commit to a purchase before hand is simply absurd. The one we came to see hit all the right notes with us and we thought we finally found the one for us. There are numerous quality RV dealerships that have professional and competent staff. This is not one of them. If however you like to be looked upon as a bother and a waste of a salesmans busy time, this place is perfect. For that extra special feeling, be sure he insults you by calling you simple minded for not looking at his outrageous self declared policies in a favorable way. This place is bad news, stay away. Went into office and interrupted a party, but asked for a salesman. Said I was interested in a unit, was it theirs or on consignment. Consignment. I asked who fixed the price, him or owner? Him! Stating it was a bit high compared to others I'm looking at, due to milage, age, and interior, salesperson told me to go buy elsewhere and invited me off his lot. We have been looking at RVs for several months. We saw several motorhomes from private sellers on CL and we visited probably every single RV dealership in Northern CA. Some of the dealerships were ok, some were truly terrible (same goes for the salespeople we dealt with). When we finally came to RV Connection in Auburn (about 2 hrs north from our home in Napa), we were amazed at the friendliness, depth of knowledge and incredibly warm and welcoming attitude of the owners, Glen Sr and Glen Jr. This is a small, local, family-owned and operated dealership, and it is hands down THE BEST RV dealership we visited in the six plus months that we had been RV shopping. The motorhomes and trailers on their lot are all super clean and in great shape, regardless of their age or price. They reflect the attention and care that Glen Sr and Glen Jr give to their inventory and clients. As a side note, both Glens have a hilarious sense of humor and after a few minutes on their lot, we felt like we were talking with friends, not salesmen :) They had a motorhome we liked (Forest River FR3 25DS) and Glen Jr patiently and knowledgeably explained all of the RV's features, both the pros and cons of that particular model. No games, no pressure - just very honest, straightforward and respectful approach. As first time RV buyers, we had a lot of questions and even though it was a Saturday and near their closing time, they didn't rush us and they treated us with utmost courtesy and politeness. We ended up wanting to buy the RV and Glen Sr said he will detail it for us and we can pick it up whenever we are ready. No paperwork, no downpayment - just an honest man's word, that's all it took to close the deal. Amazing! When it came time to get our RV, Glen Jr spent hours showing us how everything worked (I was recording his "training presentation" on my cell phone, for future reference). We bought a used RV, but it looked, smelled and operated like a brand new one. They put so much time and effort making sure that everything works well. Glen Sr included a "starter RV kit", and he put in new batteries and added several other improvements, all at no cost to us. He and his son are hands down not just the best RV dealers we have ever met, they are just wonderful, warm, funny, honest and down-to-earth guys. I read other reviews before posting this one and I noticed that all the negative ones are from people who did NOT buy an RV from them. Everyone who actually DID business with these guys has given them 5 stars (I'd give them 10 stars if I could, that's how great they are :) So my word of caution to potential buyers is this: Glen Sr and Glen Jr are straight-shooters, honest, hardworking, they take pride in their work, their business and their inventory. If you walk onto their lot acting like an entitled jerk, that's how you will be (and should be) treated. If you feel like a "wealthy cash buyer" that MUST get immediate attention and the Glens are busy with other, perhaps less affluent customers, they will NOT ditch those people to address YOUR "immediate" needs. We recently purchased a 2 year old travel trailer from Glenn and I can honestly say that these people will make sure that everything is right for you. The price was very fair for what we purchased. They were patient while we went through the financing process and went through the entire trailer to test everything. It was all clean and shiny when we picked it up and they even added all new hoses, drain pipe, etc. several days before I was to pick up the trailer, I had mentioned to Glen that I would like him to show me how to change out the plain bathroom mirror with a medicine cabinet without damaging the wall - I intended to do it myself. Well, when I went to pick up the trailer he had already purchased and installed the new cabinet for me and there was no additional cost to me. This is a small business that gives attention to detail and completes their work in a timely fashion. Very strange experience and not much different than the other 1 star reviews I saw. I'm helping a friend purchase an RV who had no prior knowledge of RV's, so I helped him find one and was doing all of the communications with RV Connections. Glen started out being great to work with and friendly, although he did have tendency to oversell the RV, his dealership and constantly talking over me. It was a cash transaction, and I offered a deposit on it. He said they were a small dealership, and would hold it on my word. Since we were out of State Buyers, and still employed, we had a difficult time coming up with a date to pick up the RV. On my last correspondence with him, I told him it would possibly be a little longer before we could get to Auburn, so once again, I offered a deposit to hold the unit. Upon this, he became indignant and said he had another buyer for it, and it was about turning inventory, and nothing to do with deposits. I had just purchased an RV for my wife and I the month before in Florida, which the Private Party held for a month until I could fly out and drive it back to AZ, so,I used this as an example. He then texted back saying, "Maybe he's got another one for you to buy" and said he would consider holding it if I gave the owner a $10k deposit. Bottom line, he's a nice guy if things go his way, but not so much if the buyer has any type of special arrangements that need to be met. read more
