I drove from Elk Grove to see an RV. The sales person was 1 hour late for our appointment. After his arrival I was given the keys to checkout the RV I had requested to see. The battery for the vehicle I had inquired about was dead and the vehicle could not be started. I was told to return later in the week when a person was available to jump start the vehicle. Horrible customer service. The RV should have been ready when I arrived or the sales person should have at least offered to jump start it so it could be tested even after he was one hour late for our appointment. I was texting one of the salesman Justin I think and he was answering all my questions. Then I guess I asked something he must not of liked and stopped texting. I waited two hours then called. Got another salesman asked if I put down a hold if they could hold it for me. He was super rude when answering me. He could of just said no we don't do that. Instead he was very rude. I think I'll just stay away seems they don't like to work with anyone. And I've worked in the automotive industry and we would never single out a customer. read more

My wife and I purchased a very nice toy hauler from Gold Country RV that needed some minor repairs that the owner, Curtis, sales person Katrina, my wife, and I all agreed on. Because we live an hour away I expected everything we agreed on to be taken care of when they called and said it was ready to pick up. When I arrived to pick up our RV I was instructed that one of their employees would walk me through how everything worked. Not only did they not make the repairs we agreed on he had no clue how anything worked. The full tank of propane that we were promised was empty, the battery would not hold a charge, the fan was not replaced as promised, (still dirty and falling apart). After two hours waiting for the guy to make a few of the repairs we had agreed on I approached Curtis to find out why, Curtis stated that he did not remember the things we had agreed on even after handing Curtis a list of items to repair the day we made a deposit for the trailer, they made no effort to make the corrections. After bringing the toy hauler home, the following morning the generator would not start, battery dead, solar panels not working, and so on. Interested in a trailer that was going to be quick to sell, Curtis communicated that first one there had first shot at it. To his word I drove two hours, three hours early, was let in an hour before open to view trailer. When opening came around no time was lost and paperwork was started. I put a large deposit on a toy hauler on a Saturday and the trailer was ready to go as per agreed on Tuesday. One tank of propane filled, battery installed, filled with water, fridge turned on, trailer cooled down inside, wiped down and ready to go. Did find a couple things they attended to right away. The price wasn't thousands more then bigger dealers like others had posted reviews about. There was a few things i didn't like on trailer and wanted upgraded on this new unit and they where honest said there not equipped to do that and reduced the price of the unit so i could have the upgrades done elsewhere. They are small family owned business so you won't have people tripping over them self's to jump to your begging call but they did everything they promised and gave me what i needed and enough space to make a no pressure decision on what trailer to buy. I had been to 11 dealers before them looking at other models and i say my exp was pleasant and i can't agree with some of the reviews. I actually went to them last because i saw merit in some of the reviews but I'm very satisfied i purchased from them. Good price, no hassle, dealt with everyone there and i was in and out in less then 1hr with all paperwork. I did not finance so can't speak on how well they work with lenders. I have been to just about every RV dealer from Modesto to Redding looking and i couldn't get a better deal at any of them or what i wanted. Purchased a 18mx by Pac coach works. I needed a 7ft wide trailer under 5,000lbs as my tow vehicle is a Chevy Colorado and i wanted to be under 75% of its max towing capacity of 7700lbs. If your looking for salesmen in suites with a platter in hand and treat you like your personal butler this isn't the place for you. But if you enjoy shopping with family owned and operated average people who treat you with respect and give you cold glass of water while you look through there inventory then you are at the right place. We purchased our fifth wheel at the end of September from gold country RV. We were told by the owner Curtis that it would be delivered when we purchased it. The day before we needed it moved he said it would cost $200. Therefore, our friend picked it up and delivered it for us.The first week we were in the fifth wheel The water heater caught on fire. Mind you it's propane and just outside of our bedroom window. I called the owner Curtis and he acted concerned at 1st and told me he would come look at it. He wasted four days of our time with shenanigans. His tech Mike came out to look at it and almost caught the trailer on fire again!!! Supposedly trying to troubleshoot the issue. We told him this was not acceptable he told us to get another fucking repair man and sped off the property and down the dirt road at over 50 MPH!!!! No call from the owner of GOLD COUNTRY RV Curtis since this happened!! BE WARNED PEOPLE!!! Take your business elsewhere!!! NOT TO BE TRUSTED!!! Absolutely amazing family run business. The owner and his son are extremely friendly, funny and even have the same name how convenient lol! My family has been looking for a trailer for months now and we saw one of their units online that looked so good we had to call. The gentleman I spoke to over the phone, Curtis, was extremely knowledgeable and made me feel like I was making my own choice rather than being convinced to buy something. When we actually came in to check out the unit, everything was super easy, we were able to check out all of the units features in order to make sure the heating/cooling, black tanks, power jacks etc.. we're all still in great shape. Not only did they properly reassure me of the units capabilities, they did it in a very kind way and worked with me as I translated to my Ukrainian parents. We're getting ready here in the next couple of months to visit every state over the course of a 4 year mission and were planning on taking our trailer everywhere we go!! I plan on coming back one day for an even bigger and better trailer. If you want to travel and adventure the right way, like my little Ukrainian family, then just check them out!! read more

Nicest People Ever, Small family owned business, Even their teenager works there, He is the one that showed me the trailer originally. So nice to see someone so young hanging with his parents and helping with the family business. No pressure sales, Outstanding Customer Service, Bought my 5th wheel at the price I thought was very reasonable, They cleaned it , made sure everything was in working order replaced parts that were bad. When we picked up the trailer they again went through entire trailer operation, to ensure that all was in working order and to show us how everything worked. My wife and I had been looking for a new RV but we also were not in a big hurry. She found one on-line through Gold Country and we made the short drive over there. Long story short we bought the one we looked at originally. A family issue came up and they ended up holding on to the RV 6 weeks for us. We picked it up today, had a great walk through and all of our questions were answered. I never felt once that they needed to cut us short on time even though there were customers on the lot. We took all the time we needed and then some. Great customer service! Everyone knew what they were doing and if they didn't know an answer they knew who to ask right then and there. read more

This place is a complete waste of time! Deserves 0 stars! I was interested in the Blaze'n 21' Toy Hauler by Pacific Coachworks. I went there and spoke with the finance manager Kristin, and she told me all kinds of information and that she doesn't run credit unless she can get the deal done. Okay, great I thought. What she failed to say is that she doesn't hardly work and obviously doesn't care about selling anything. I never got a call back. I called over the corse of 8 days and there was always an excuse why she couldn't talk to me. She was out, her kids were sick, she didn't get any sleep, She's with another customer, WTF. When I finaly got through to her She said, "oh well, you're not approved..." I had to do her job and submit all my paper work directly to the company because she supposedly couldn't open it. Well guess what, I sent the same files without change to three other people and they could open it just fine. So, I went to Demartini's RV in Grass Valley and had them try to get me financed. What do you know, I was approved from the same company that Kristin said I was denied by. Not only that, Demartinin's got me multiple approvals for the same amount so I got to choose the best option. I called Kristin back at gold country and told her that I was approved and she argued with me saying I wasn't. She called the lending agent and then called me back. Kristin didn't even apologize for being wrong she just said, "okay well do you want it or not?" After getting such deplorable customer service I told her I had to think about it. I ended up going with Demartini's RV because they worked hard for me and kept me up to date every step of the way. They valued me as a customer and that is how sale is supposed to be. I ended up purchasing an Adrenalin by Cochmen/Forest River *3 weeks later Gold Country Still hasn't sold the unit I was interested in. The information Kristen told me about the unit and the company were wrong. I know this because I called the manufactures West Coast regional sales manager, Casey Tory. They are $4,000 more than all the California dealers, (Best RV and Giant RV for the unit I was interested in). I hope you take this review seriously because it is extremely accurate. read more

Buyers Beware! I recently went to view an RV at Gold Country RV. I'm an older woman and I think they didn't expect me to know much about RV's. Was told so many outright lies in the course of my interactions with them that I would never do business with them and advise you to run the other way. Here are just a few examples: Before driving the three hours to get to them I asked on the phone if it had any leaks. "I sure didn't see any. It's in immaculate condition. You won't find an RV in this good of shape...". When I got there the not only was clearly a leak in the cab over but the entire roof had been sealed incorrectly and would need to be resealed. When I asked if there were seat belts for the couch at the table, I was told no RV's have seatbelts for the couch's "maybe if one creative person might have them put in but..." When I pointed out that the awning frame was bent so the awning sloped sideways I was told " Oh, they all do that. That's what awnings do..." When I pointed out there was no drawers in the kitchen for silverware or utensils, "Oh, no RV's have silverware drawers, you just have to put them in containers, or attach an inside shelf (which was not possible the way the underneath cabinet was constructed.)" I was told the vehicle was stored indoors and taken care of with immaculate care. Both those items were untrue. I was told the vehicle was serviced regularly but of course they would not produce any service records nor would they provide a carfax. And the engine needed brakes to be flushed, oil to be changed, transmission fluid ..etc. Stay away from these people. They would lie to sell their grandmother if they could. read more
