Our favorite place to be! We just moved here from the east coast, stumbled upon this great place! Reminds me of being back at home! Met the daughter of the owner Brooke, such a hardworking lady! Just left Rusty's for the first time. Had a great experience. The pizza was killer! Got the combo and loved it. What we loved about it was that it was loaded with toppings but it wasn't greasy like chains. So when you took a slice of pie it all stayed together for a great bite. We also got the garlic bread slices which were amazing. Also the staff and patrons were great. Everyone seemed like a regular there but everyone said goodbye to us as we left. We will be back! I came here today per a suggestion of a good friend who raves about their steak sandwich. The inside of the place was a dive bar but the NY steak sandwich was great! I ordered it med rare like everyone else. It came out on a big hoagie roll with nothing else. I poured a little steak sauce on it. I asked for half macaroni/half potato salad. They were good too. Not to much mayonaise used. The service was great! Attentive with a smile and drink refills without having to ask. Nice! I hear the pizza is good here too. The steak sandwich was about $12. Burgers almost $8. Not bad. I'll be back! read more

Was craving pizza and decided to try this place out because of the good reviews we saw on Yelp. Boy was I disappointed!!!!! I placed my order and waited. After about 40 minutes I asked the guy what was going on with my order and he said he didn't know, I had to wait for some girl to come back. Really?!!! I placed the order and paid you, yet you have no idea? Ok...Waited another 15 minutes, asked again, and come to find out my pizzas had been sitting in a To-Go box on top of the stove eventually Got cold pizza brought to my table!!!! The kitchen staff was very incompetent and appeared to be drunk. I also thought it was nasty that they were wearing sandals, tank tops, and shorts while cooking my food. Unprofessional and dirty. I tried out Rusty's because I read the reviews that they had pretty good pizza it did not disappoint good pizza for a bar wings were tasty little overpriced. If the bar would turn down their music it would really be a good hangout spot but the Jukebox was a little loud for the time of day that we went. A little hole in the wall bar. Went here to have lunch with my coworkers. We all had the New York Steak Sandwich. I ordered mine medium & it was cooked just right. You would think a steak sandwich means a lot of chewing, but not this sandwich. My teeth chewed right through the meat with no problem. It was nice & tender. All it had was bread, the steak, a squeeze bottle of A-1 Sauce & either a potatoe salad (which I had), or a bag of chips. For the price of $10, it was well worth it! read more

Best pizza in Tracy hands down! None better. I grew up in the Bay Area and used to go to the Ye' Old Pizza Joint before it burned down (such a bummer)and Rusty's is the closest to it. Wow, it doesn't look like much from the outside but it is some of the best pizza ever. Eddie made our pizza and it was amazing, light and melts in your mouth, crispy crust. My coworker and I are in Tracy for work and we just googled pizza and randomly found this place. We are glad we did! Everyone that works here are so sweet and inviting, like seeing old friends. We came here one day just to check it out and ended up staying a few hours and trying a few different appetizers. The pizza is awesome and I would say is one of the best pizzas in Tracy a lot of love goes into it. The Lemon Pepper Wings are very good. We go just for the wings sometimes. The onion rings are awesome. Not to mention the service is great too. Very nice and friendly. The food was excellent, we ordered the pizza and wings all for a very reasonable/inexpensive price considering the amount of food you get. We ate inside of the bar area, which had a good amount of options to choose from as far as drinks go which were also reasonably priced. The atmosphere of the bar was loud as you would expect, but it made it difficult to maintain a conversation with the person next to you without having to yell the entire time, even early on a weeknight. read more

This is, hands down, the best pizza place on the west coast. I've lived in SF for a few years, lots of good spots but never found a place that was just perfect. Rusty's is just that. The crust and dough is good and crispy, the meat and cheese are great, everything is beyond amazing. If there's a downside the pizza can be overly oil-y, but I think that doubles as what makes this phenomenal. It's crazy how cheap it is too compared to typical pizza places. Go here. This was the worst pizza I have ever been served at a restaurant. It was rock hard, dry, and tasteless like it had been cooked for 30 minutes too long. Price was fine but it was inedible. I'm of the mind that even bad pizza is good but this made me reconsider that. I ate one slice and then looked at my wife and said I couldn't do this anymore and went to find something else to eat. I really liked Rusty's. Our club had a meeting here last Friday night and the staff was very accomodating and welcoming. Their service was great, very fast. This review is for the pizza to go experience. Though I did wander into the bar area, and it seemed pretty clean and had a good crowed. The pickup window is right at the front door, so if you're concerned about going to a bar to pick up a pizza... not to worry. You don't even have to see the bar to get your pie. I got the large combo, which was pretty good. It has a lot of meat toppings with some black olives and (canned) mushrooms. I did not care for the mushrooms, and the pizza could have been cooked longer to get some of the meat toppings a little crispy. (Just my preference). Overall pretty good, and the price was pretty cheap considering all the toppings. I will probably go back to try a pepperoni, as the thin crust does seem to have potential for a great pizza. read more

The place looks a bit questionable from the outside, but since it was pretty much the only game in town on Thanksgiving, we decided to give it a try. Cheap drinks, friendly bartender, and an "enthusiastic" crowd. Very salt of the earth atmosphere. The best part was buying a pack of temporary Oakland Raiders temporary tattoos from the vending machines next to the door as we were leaving.
