Its alright, the prices are cheap but the tacos are small and unimaginative. Torchys is much better in my opinion.

Rusty Taco is a great place to get cheap, street-style tacos. The owner, Joe, is super friendly and almost always there, and the workers are pretty friendly. It does get crowded during peak hours, so often you may have to share a table with strangers. There is always a welcoming atmosphere, though, and Rusty Taco is a great place for families. The salsa is awesome and my favorite tacos are the BBQ Brisket and Fried Chicken (#10 & #11). There are also shirts for sale if you are interested ($9) and a lot of people like to buy them. These may not be the greatest street tacos you will ever have, but for the price and experience, they are definitely worth coming back for. read more

Rusty tacos are extremely delicious and when I tell in the office that I ordered lunch delivery from them (They do deliveries of 40 taco's or more) I instantly get tons of orders to be added!!! I love their tacos! The rusty taco is my favorite. The brisket is pretty good as well. I love that it's only $1 for chips and salsa! They get your tacos ready pretty quick too. Some of the best tacos I've ever had. Yesterday was my 3rd visit and it has been continuously enjoyable every time. I recommend the fried chicken taco and the baja shrimp. They are both my favorite. The first time I visited I got a fish and a shrimp taco. They were ok but not worth the visit. The second time I decided to try their breakfast tacos and got a potato, egg and cheese and a brisket egg and cheese. The eggs were bland and the brisket tasted ok but more like a roast. I'm not much of a taco person, but if you are, and are also willing to pay $2.50 per taco, this is the place for you! The tacos taste fresh and are prepared very well. Not super cheap, but a good deal considering the good quality of the food. Seafood (shrimp, fish) tacos cost an extra $.50. I recommend the Baja shrimp taco, beef fajita taco, and the freshly made tortilla chips! The environment is very nice and lively-really good for families. I love the rusty taco on university! However, this location on coit is far below the bar. The service, and ppl are great. ( This is only why they get as high as 3 stars!) The food is not though. The décor and ambience is designed to replicate the original in Dallas that was first created from an old garage. Outdoor seating is great in cool weather. It is a great place for a great variety of good soft tacos, chips, salsa/queso, fountain drinks and beer. Order and pay at the register, get your drink and find a table, and wait for them to call your name to come up and pick up your tasty tacos. Fast service, great food, and great value. read more

As a first timer, I went there with an open mind since this place is an Americanized Taco place, (I favor the REAL Mexican style of Tacos). I tried the Fried Chicken Tacos and to my surprise...they were very good! The prices are affordable, and the tacos are filling. Overall, I had an ok experience since these guys messed up my order and wouldn't fess up to it...making my experience less than pleasurable. read more

Rusty taco opened a few weeks ago. The manager/owner is very friendly. He walked around and chatted with the customers. He even offered us the TV remote! The food at the Plano location is better than the one off Lover's, mostly because the tacos actually come hot! I have no complaints. They have a cute patio but it was too hot to sit outside. They close at 10PM, which isn't surprising since it's located in the suburbs. Perhaps when business picks up, they'll open later so we can all get some late night grub! read more

AMAZING TACOS! Between my family and I, we've probably tried them all. They have everything you can think of from pork, chicken, beef, and fish tacos. Most tacos are $3 or less and all loaded! They also have breakfast tacos which are great. Our favorite are the sausage and fajita. The fajita has bell peppers, onions, eggs and chicken. All super yummy! They also have great queso and the chips are always fresh. The green and red salsa are the best. Green is a little sweet and red a little hot. If you like really hot salsa get the orange one, it's habanero. I strongly suggest R taco, they're fast and always fresh. read more

I was recommended Rusty's for some good tacos but unfortunately only 1 of the 3 I order were good. That would be the fish taco, delicious but the Baja shrimp taco was so bad, the little shrimps were over cooked and rubbery. The Rusty taco was not great, it had a taste I never had before. I also ordered queso and guacamole which were good, definitely prefer the queso over the guacamole. The service was good and I got my food order quick. read more

This is a good place to have some tacos and a frozen margarita, which is pretty strong. I have been here a few times and each time try a new taco. All has been great so far.
