I absolutely adore this place. I've been coming here well over a decade and although the staff has changed, everyone here is still sweet and helpful. All their food is still so cheap and yet so delicious! And huge too! I usually have to ask for a second tortilla because they're so generous with the proteins. I've been going here for years, really like the owner. But I just wish he didn't hire that tall lean, rude teenage girl on weekdays particularly Thursday nights. Not only does she act jaded like she could care less about being there, but she screwed up my order two weeks in a row. I asked for a large order of tater tots, I paid for the large order, when I got home, they were small. And then the following week I asked for a bean and cheese taco, I came home with a black bean taco. Can't seem to get the order right or the attitude, I guess. read more

Not too shabby! Not too shabby at'all. Clean interior. Pictures ALL over the walls of folks in their Rusty Taco shirts, all over the world - super fun. Nice staff - helpful. Wide variety on the menu. Pretty standard prices for these days (not a "cheap" taco joint, but not super over-priced either). I went with a BBQ brisket taco, black bean taco, and egg n brisket taco. The BBQ brisket was best by far. Yummy and well-rounded. Lean brisket but sauce made up for it - and I prefer lean brisket. Black bean taco was pretty good - would have been borderline boring if not for the roasted pumpkin seeds, which was a cool twist. The egg n brisket taco needed some help - eggs weren't overcooked but they needed something (salt, pepper, some melted cheese) and brisket was lean and dry enough that it didn't save the taco. I definitely prefer lean brisket and don't want to pay for chunks of fat on my taco, but this was a bit dry. Definitely a fun spot and tacos were interesting and above average. Nice patio, top. And the guy who I assumed was the owner was nice and helped bus tables, which is always awesome. I'd go again but would branch out on taco options. read more

As much as I respect my peers and their reviews, many of them are very old. This is by far one of the best taco joints in Texas. The food is Uber fresh, all sauces are made from scratch, the prices are fantastic considering how full the tacos are but my favorite scratch item was their margaritas. Like WHERE have you been all my life?!?! We started with a couple tacos to try, but it was so good we tried the salsas, chips, and drinks! If you miss this place, that's totally on you, but I would gladly drive a pretty good distance just to eat here again. Easily top 5 taco place in the US. If you want the best, cheapest margaritas in plano, this is the place. The tacos are to die for, I recommend the new cheeseburger taco. Sit out on the patio and enjoy the music, very relaxing. Food is delightful and inexpensive, I ordered their Baja shrimp, black bean tacos, chicken fajita taco, and fried chicken taco .my favorite were the Baja shrimp and the black bean taco, street taco" style, but that did not stop them from holding out on the number of ingredients they put in these excellent little tacos; Churros were the best cramel filling inside and coated with cinnamon sugar with a pinch of salt. Hadn't been here in a while, still trying different things on menu. Strayed from my usual fish and/or shrimp to try the steak, and I was very impressed with the amount of meat on the taco! Unfortunately my husband and I found this place too late. We moved about 2 months from our first visit. This was my pregnancy craving! Great food, great service. I had some issues with takeout a couple of times, but the managers always offered compensation and were understanding and kind. My favorite dish is the steak bowl. If you like cilantro this is your place! The churros are amazing, and my 18 month old couldn't get enough of the queso. Takeout, and expected some sogginess but the chips were way more soggy than needed given the entire plate was submerged into a pool of cheese sauce then more sauce on top. Would be so much better with grated cheese not this rotel nacho cheese sauce from concession stands stuff. Chicken fajita bowl great as always. This time they went much lighter on the dressing which is good - recommend ordering dressing on the side to apply as much as you want just double check the order that it was included. So these were the worst breakfast tacos I've ever had. That includes gas station tacos. First the flour tortilla was thin and tasted like paper. This would be a good choice if you wanted to accentuate the savory flavors of what's inside but those don't exist. I had one brisket, egg, cheese and one bacon, egg, cheese taco. I knew they were going to be bad when I first saw them with cold shredded cheese sprinkled on top. Not a single shred had melted indicating the meat and eggs weren't hot enough. The first bite of the brisket taco I was greeted by a soggy salty mess of cold brisket. Underneath were cold powdered eggs. The chopped crispy bacon was good but not enough to raise the bland eggs and tortilla to a level I would have enjoyed. Oh and coffee at 8am tasted like a blend of tar and gasoline with only one flavor of creamer (French Vanilla) to help mask the taste. Ordered via Doordash. Got the Rusty, the roasted pork, and the Baja Shrimp taco, as well as chips and salsa. Baja shrimp taco was DROWNED in sauce. An absolutely ridiculous amount of chipotle sauce. Whoever made that did it on purpose or just didn't give a shit about quality control. Where's the standards? Ruined the taco for me. It should've just been a drizzle on top. Meat on both the Rusty and the roasted pork taco, needed salt. So they underseasoned their meat. No one should ever have to add salt to a taco...also, canned pineapple on the Rusty. All it communicates is tacky, cheap and flavorless. If you're gonna do pineapple cut real chunks of pineapple, or just don't do it. On the bright side, their orange hot sauce was actually hot. I'll give them that. It's hard to find establishments with "hot" sauce that's actually hot anymore. Chips were good as well and all their salsas were pretty good (red needed more salt). read more
