Deluxe Breakfast and Breakfast Special

Great food and service. We also had the Vietnamese coffee and it was delicious. Our second time in when traveling from Nashville. Planning to try lunch tomorrow.

the pathetic catfish on a hamburger bun.

I was here last year, and the fish special was great, but this year I unfortunately ordered the catfish sandwich. $8.95 and NOT worth it for a couple small chunks of fish on a hamburger bun. So disappointing. $2.95 was fine for some sweet potato fries that were good. And of course, iced tea is NOT worth $3.50. Ridiculous. Almost everyone charges too much for non-alcoholic drinks, so they joined the club. $16.48 before tip (the service was good) and I left hungry. You can go there for some good food, but the catfish sandwich should be avoided.

Interior with that Key West-ey type vibe.

Good breakfast place!! There was a nice water feature in the parking lot with a tortoise in it and lots of koi, made for a nice calming place before either heading in or getting back in your car. Pancakes were good and fluffy. Eggs cooked as ordered and special requests honored (extra crispy bacon requested by 2 of our party). Sausage gravy was good, lightly seasoned but I like mine with lots of pepper - easily remedied, I just added some more pepper!! Table had some stickiness from previous people's syrup so that's why the -1 star. But I'd definitely come back to this place for breakfast!!

Great breakfast spot! We're here on a college campus tour. Stopped in for a quick breakfast. Fast and friendly service. Large portions. Nice variety. Good coffee. Clean and bright. Fun, upbeat, beachy interior. Good for families. Very nice breakfast experience.

a boat on the side of the road

We'd had enough of hotel free breakfasts and let Yelp lead the way. It pointed to this little spot a few miles away nestled in the trees away from the coast by a mile or two or three. It is easy to find on the road with a large friendly sign. Being the Vet I am, I appreciated the US Flag and the POW/MIA flag out front. The parking lot is huge and there is a rock/water garden feature on the border of the lot with some faux water fowl. The little kid in me want to go play in it. On the way in, there is a historical reference to the sign that was all that was left of the previous building that was destroyed by Katrina. My photo didn't do it justice, so you'll have to see it for your self. Inside, it has a friendly feel of fish, sea creatures and nets hanging on the walls. The island partitions between the booths has floral and plants decorating the top. The dining room was light from all of the windows, airy and friendly feeling. Kind of a sea themed grandma's house feel. I love it! The menu was impressive and the breakfast had the essentials. I ordered the Deluxe with 2 over easy eggs, hash browns with onions, bacon and 2 pancakes plus an iced tea. Our server, Sara, was very professional. She went out of her way to look after her customers I observed (to include us). The order was out in no time. The tea wasn't watered down. The eggs were correctly prepared and tasted fresh. The hash browns were the best ever as the onion was just enough to flavor but not to over power. (Thank you Sara for suggesting that!) The bacon was good and crispy. The pancakes had a golden brown crispness but were fluffy on the inside. The cost was extremely reasonable for great service and super tasting food! if in the area, give this place a try! As for COVID, this place was practicing current guidelines with masks enforced and tables spaced. Tables were getting sanitized.

Breakfast was very good

Hard to find a real breakfast place open during COVID, but this place filled the bill. Came in on a Friday morning at 6:45. Due to COVID, they've pushed back their opening time from 6:00 to 6:30. Place was reasonably crowded for the hour and I was a bit concerned I could get in and out timely. There was only one waitress, but she did a great job hustling. Ordered biscuits and gravy, eggs over easy, grits and bacon. Everything was very good. Service was fast and friendly. Glad I stopped.

Low prices, friendly service, good food. Here visiting our son, a Navy Seabee, and passed by this little spot. Glad we did. Our waitress helped me make a choice on what to order. Cute little pond out front with tons of koi fish.

At noon the parking lot was packed and the line was nearly out the door. I had never had "reds" - a unique shrimp that was to have lobster like texture and flavor. I ordered their steamed to order reds platter. While in line regulars talked me into trying the crawfish & boudin balls. You buy the cooked crawfish by the pound & they scoop them out of a huge tub, still hot from being recently cooked. Wow - seasoning was special & the crawfish cooked perfectly. The boudin balls were exceptional. The reds platter was huge!! A pound plus of shrimp, corn, potatoes, sausage. It was piping hot! Crazy good - shrimp indeed had a firmer texture and a sweetness akin to lobster. Dipped in the butter & it was even more like lobster. I tried to quit a couple times but the seasoning was addictive I ate every shrimp. It was so good we came back a second time on our travels from NOLA!!

We go the Royal platter, a shrimp plate, fried chicken sandwich, potato wedges, and two boudin balls all for only $44. The portions were large, everything tasted outstanding, and it was all made fresh. The seasoning was plentiful, but not too spicy or overpowering. Only thing that would have made it better would have been a hot sauce offering. Michigan could certainly use a Bradley's, but until that happens, my kids are already asking me to start making boudin at home!

They have bar seating up to large tables for bigger groups. There's plenty of parking in their lot out front and to the side of the building. Daddyz isn't fancy. Don't come here if you're seeking mimosas and avocado toast. But if you want THE BEST breakfast at the BEST price: this is where to come. They have incredible biscuits and gravy. They make huge delectable omelets. They have a great kids menu and the prices can't be beat. They even offer a military discount on Saturdays. My littlest is obsessed with their apple butter and we are obsessed with the experience. We LOVE the staff. We usually have the same server and she is FANTASTIC. She's friendly and never lets our coffee cups go empty. She's great with our kids and we have never left Daddyz unhappy. Definitely check them out!!!

Somehow I forgot to take a picture of my patty melt (which) I made a double. It came with grilled onions which were perfectly caramelized. We also had a catfish poboy and the catfish is probably the best so far that I've had on the MS coast and the poboy is overstuffed! I feel like they don't do that anymore. The onion rings are hand battered and only complain it wish it came with more. We came right before a rush and it seemed like only on person was running the front (cashier and waiting). It was fine until it got busy but nothing horrible. Give it a visit! I'll be back in the future.
