Homey and rustic ambiance with kind helpful servers. Came twice during our visit to page and enjoyed some good breakfast. First visit we had pancakes and country fried steak with sausage gravy, biscuit, and side potatoes. Everything came out fast and was delicious and fresh! Second visit was the breakfast burrito and the Cajun eggs Benedict with spicy fried chicken and biscuits . This time around the food took a while to come out --25ish minutes despite it being empty. Not as delicious as day 1 but the portions were satisfying. Everything day 2 was missing salt and flavor. Maybe an off day or maybe we got the wrong menus items. read more

We very much enjoyed our time here. One of the managers came over and entertained our kids, and we found the staff to be very nice. I had the snow crab steamer, which was very good, my son had the mushroom and Swiss burger, which he really enjoyed. My wife had the roasted chicken, which she said was very good, my oldest daughter had the steak bites which she enjoyed, and my other daughter had a cheeseburger which she thought was very good. The Rustic Thistle was a real treat for breakfast on our early morning travels through Page. We arrived just before they opened and were pleasantly surprised by the decor and the welcoming staff. The Ham and Gruyère omelette was wonderful and the chicken-fried steak was also great (it was my first experience with this southern staple). A lovely way to start the day. We'll be back. read more

Came in for dinner with family. Hostess looked liked she hated her job- Didn't greet customers. We were served by Aimee (only reason we know her name because we looked at the receipt)- didn't introduce herself. We feel like the "front of the house" employees should be retrained with their customer service because my goodness, they seemed like they didn't want to be there (at least fake it). There are customers travelling from all over world. Food: Trash Can Nachos is a 3/5. Taste-wise, meat could've had more flavor. Presentation wise, very interesting is all we can say. Size wise, could feed about 5 people! Honey Mustard Wings is a 4/5. Recommend having more variety of flavors available on the menu. Drink: Prickly Pear Tini is a 4/5. Pineapple Frizz is a 3/5. Be mindful that they have a 3% credit card surcharge. Overall, would we come back? Most likely not. read more

This place was amazing, in that it somehow managed to get two orders wrong, have some of the most bland food in a ten mile radius, and serve undercooked fish not once, but twice after offering to fix the dish. The wait time after ordering was incredible, about 45 minutes of listening to our waiter act as court jester in an attempt to distract from the long wait time. This wasn't just us, folks, there were two other tables with the same issues tonight with disjointed service and party members without plates. The ambiance was fine, and some of the items served were edible. Not much else going for this place, the prices would make you think it was a bougie oasis in this small town. You would be better off fishing rainbow trout out of the river, it would probably be gutted, fileted, and (fully) cooked before Rustic Thistle could have it out to you. read more

I was shocked at how amazing this place was. The menu is super culturally diverse, the prices were appropriate, and the portion size was excellent. It was recommended by Tour company and had good reviews so we decided to try it for lunch. Hubs ordered the smash burger and I had the shrimp po' boy and asked for a salad instead of fries. This simple side salad was a $4 upcharge. His burger he asked for medium rare came out well done, didn't resemble a smashed patty and was overly salty. Fries we asked for well done arrived barely warm but not well done. Shrimp po' boy served on dense thick cold bread that I did not want to eat, but all the sauce was only on the very inside of the bun. Breading fell off the shrimp and I added my Italian dressing as my shrimp were mostly naked as the sauce was smeared only on the bread. Neither dish was good but we were hungry. Service is no nonsense, little personality and not very welcoming at all. read more

Food was expensive but tasty. Can't imagine who eats 2 waffles for breakfast, especially with 1/4c syrup & no butter. Service was terrible! Waitress didn't bring silverware/napkins until after food was served & had to go get her & ask. She did same to next party who sat next to us. Just an average restaurant. I went there based on its good review for thanksgiving day lunch with family. They had special Thanksgiving Buffet going on at $35/ person. The buffet was ok. Taste was nothing special. Worst part was that the Turkey and Chicken smelled of frozen chicken . So my expectation is unmet based on previous review. read more

I had lunch at the Rustic Thistle. The BBQ chicken with Mac and Gouda cheese plus squash veggies was so delicious! The waitress refilled my ice tea numerous times and she recommended the apple pie ragout for dessert, which was so delicious as well. This restaurant was recommended by the guide from my boat tour and he did not steer me wrong on this one! Seek out this restaurant when in Page, AZ and you will not be disappointed! read more

Visited today, for the first time. Everything about this place is wonderful, with exception of grumpy girl working as "greeter". (I didn't feel the least bit greeted.) Really interesting menu options; it was difficult to choose. The berry chicken salad is FANTASTIC!!! Our server was quick and friendly. We left without eating because the situation felt deceptive. After waiting about 20 minutes to be seated, we were given only a Valentine's Day prix-fixe menu with prices far higher than the restaurant's normal menu. We asked for the regular menu and were told there was none -- only the Valentine's menu was available that day. The problem is that there was absolutely NO notice of this anywhere. No sign at the entrance, no mention when we checked in, and nothing communicated before we waited for a table. If we had known in advance, we would never have stayed. It feels dishonest to make customers wait and only reveal after seating that they are required to order an expensive holiday menu. At that point, you're essentially pressured into paying far more than expected or walking out after wasting your time -- which is exactly what we chose to do. We left feeling misled and frustrated. Transparency is basic customer service, and this restaurant failed completely in that regard. read more

So glad we decided to try this place after the Slot canyon trip. We were starved and their food did not disappoint.I had the salmon salad and hubby had the Navajo burger. It was delicious and bun (Navajo fry bread ) was amazing, the burger is huge. The salad was very generous and very very tasty. The server " Jo" was professional but also very personable and friendly. Good: the food. Bad: the service. They brought out our appetizer and no one came to bring our napkin/utensils and appetizer plates. We ate the fried okra with our fingers but finally had to get up and ask for help. One person brought us the utensils and then we had to go back a second time and ask for appetizer plates. Then they started busing our table while we were there. They completely cleared our table while we were still sitting there. It definitely felt like they wanted us to get out. Wow!!! This place was amazing! The bar tender was just wonderful! He was our waiter too. Unfortunately I didn't get his name. He was friendly and informative. The drinks were great. My husband really liked the blackberry lemonade with bourbon. I tried the prickly pear and coffee Martinis, which were flavorful and well made. All the food we ordered was delicious. The bbq chicken and waffles and the Navajo taco were not only delicious but fresh. And their Phyllo Cake ( my first time hearing of such goodness) was rich and moist. The service was great from the moment we walked in the door. My husband had a mushroom Swiss burger and it was huge and delicious. I had the Harvest salad and it was full of all sorts of yummy stuff. We also had an order of fry bread. I wish we had known we could have it with ice cream on top, but it was still good to taste. The first 2 things I wanted to order were not available, then when my order came it was not very much food- I ordered the Navajo stew and there was NO meat or veggies in it, just broth and a piece of corn on the cob. I saw other tables have it fully loaded with meat and veggies. They corrected the order and it was OK, but nothing to write home about. We stopped in Paige, Az on our way to Zion and needed a place to eat for lunch. We discovered Rustic Thistle on Yelp. It was worth the stop. The food and staff were amazing. I had the Hawaiian salmon salad. It was beautifully crafted and delicious. Grandma's chili came with fried bread which was huge and yummy. Our waitress took very good care of us. What a great stop.
