So look...I ain't from around here! I heard these fast food joints were Nebraska specific and I wanted to give it a shot. For FAST FOOD...it isn't bad! I ordered the cheese runza meal. I also ordered the double cheeseburger. I was hungry ok. Anyhow, the runza was decent. Kind of an interesting take on a chopped cheese sandwich I thought. Bread was better than expected. Fries were above average for fast food joints. Double cheeseburger was ok. I would put it somewhere ahead of Wendy's, and just short of Burger King. It's a Nebraska thing! read more

I have never seen this place before. Decided to stop in for a bite. The menu includes Runzas and Burgers as well as Fries, Onion Rings, etc.. I opted for a Beef & Cheese Runza with Frings. The sandwich itself was not that great - it has virtually no seasoning to it at all. The fries were good, but the Onion Rings were clearly made in some factory and not very good. I am disgusted and appalled by the service and quality of this location, I've lived in Nebraska my entire life, have always loved eating at runza, but when I am tired and starving after a 6 hour drive home from Minnesota and decide to stop for a bite to eat, I'd hope for the quality I'm used to. The person taking our order had to be corrected not once but twice, for a plain bacon cheeseburger and a kids meal. On top of that we went to get Mountain Dew Code Red and there were black particles that came out of the machine, when we brought this up to the same worker who took our order, he proceeded to ask us if the black specs were gnats... I'm disgusted. He then proceeded to grab another cup and get in our way of getting our drinks breathing into the new cup extremely close to me. After that, we hear the kitchen talking about how they messed up my cheeseburger and said "This says plain but we made it with everything on it. Do you want to give it to him, or should we make him a new one?" read more

Not for all people Either love em or hate em I freaking love them First time I ever had a Runza was probably ten years ago now at Memorial Stadium in Lincoln at a Husker football game. Saw the signs advertising them and had to ask my Husker friends what in the hell is a Runza? They explained that it is both the name of the food item and a local chain in Nebraska. It is kind of like a Hot Pocket, but a really good Hot Pocket. The basic Runza is just beef, cabbage and onions inside a doughy roll. Cheese can be added for an extra charge. Super tasty if you ask me. I can't go to Nebraska anymore without getting my Runza fix. Per the Runza website, they have a few locations outside of Nebraska in neighboring states only. If they would let me open a franchise in Minnesota, I would do so in a heartbeat. read more

I think Ariana Grande's 7 Rings is above Runzas onion rings. They're simply Devine. No matter the location they're delicious. The sweet Berry chicken salad is also a hit 100% of the time. I like this location bc the staff is super friendly at the drive thru. read more

Ok, today was my very first Runza... I got the original to get the total experience. It was fresh, warm and filled with spices... the beef and cabbage mixture was the perfect blend. There are better Runzas in town. This one has an awkward entrance / exit, and the employees clearly don't care one bit. No help when ordering, impatience resonating in their voice, and certainly no thank you when the order was paid for or given to us. It's not that far to go to a different one, and we will next time. The only reason I gave this two stars instead of one is because Runza has the best chili in town, even at this sub-par location. read more

I love Runza, however this Runza location just seems to mess up a simple order. Usually I get a ranch wrap grilled with tomatoes, and it's always messed up. Today I got 2 ranch wraps and salad the order was right but they wrapped up the tomatoes and put it in a container in its own separate bag. I want to start by saying the restaurant was very clean and the staff was great. Having never eaten at a Runza, we thought we would give it a try with a spicy jack Runza sandwich and a mushroom Runza sandwich. They were just bad. It seems to me that the Runza is a take on a sloppy joe with ground beef and spices with different accompaniments. Both my wife and I found them to just be soggy gross sandwiches. My wife's was so bad she had to return it and the staff was happy to do so for her which was great. I would just avoid this restaurant all together because no one in my family liked the food. Runza.... Cabbage, beef, onion in a soft roll. It's definitely a Nebraska thing. But still very good. I got a cheese Runza, frings ( onion rings and fries mixed) and a soda. I also had to get mini corn dogs for my wife she loves them. Drive thru took less than 5 minutes. Attendant was very nice. I also noticed they had shades pulled down a bit so people in the drive thru could not stare at the people inside. Overall good experience read more

Stopped by to try a "Runza" after hearing about it from work. I got the mushroom and onion runza. It was very greasy. The taste was not bad and though I am not sure if I will be getting the mushroom and onion again, I will be trying the other combinations. The runza was large and filling for just under 5 dollars. I also got the Frings (fries and onion rings), which were okay. The fries were good, but needed more flavor. The onion rings on the other hand looked very good, but had no flavor. I understand that fast food is typically more oily and greasy, but this was over the top. read more

Went through the drive thru and ordered a combo with some of their onion rings on the side. As I pulled off, I checked my order and there were no fries . . just onion rings. I had to drive around the intersection to get back to their parking lot. Once I went inside and explained the situation, I was charged an additional $2.18 for the fries. Really?! I just had to come back because you screwed up my order. Food isn't worth comin back for if you can't get the order done right the first time. Not coming back to this location ever again. read more

This is my go to Runza. In the years I've gone here I've never had an issue. Service is friendly and fast- I've never waited longer than 7 minutes in the drive thru. Food is always hot and taste fresh. You must try the fries and get a side of ranch to dip them in. The absolute best ranch, hands down! read more

This Runza is okay, I guess, as far as Runzas go.. There's a black gal who works the drive-through each Sunday who is fantastic.. Fast, accurate, very friendly. I really like her positive, friendly attitude. The FOOD, on the other hand, is not as stellar although not ANYWHERE near as bad as the 72nd & Pacific location! The only problem I have with their food is the greasiness of the fries and rings. Their fries are so greasy that we have to ensure we do not put the bag on a seat or on our lap because THE GREASE DOES SOAK THROUGH THE BAG EVERY TIME! read more

Visiting the Omaha area from Kansas for a soccer tournament. Heard from some locals about the good food at Runza. Exterior first impression was not exactly convincing, however, the overall experience was great! Service was fast and courteous. All three of us in the group enjoyed the juicy burgers, crispy bacon and perfectly cooked crinkled fries. Ice cream cones were also delicious. The menu is simplistic but effective. I had my group of robotics students coming back from a competition and needed something to eat. We pulled in and my group of 15 students got out of the car. Something caught my eye so I looked up and saw a lady run to the door to lock it. When I didn't leave she unlocked it and said to me it is 9:32 and we close at 9:30 inside.
