There are three Rumi's in Atlanta & nearby, all of them popular, and this one is where the magic originates. While I have been to to Colony Square branch for over 20 times, it was only recently that I hit this spot, during GT's Spring Break. The menu there was slightly different from that of Colony sq. In particular, I was interested in Ash reshteh, Kale borani, lubia polo, and artichoke ghormeh sabzi, none of which is common in the Middle Eastern restuarants nearby. I ended up getting the Chinjeh lubia polo. Compared to the Chinjeh entree in Colony sq branch, this one had a slice of taftoon bread, pickled veggies (cucumber and onions), different type of rice (lubia polo) and seemed to have more meat. The meat was marinated and quite tender, so even if it was slightly over "rare" which was what I preferred, I did not complain at all. The lubia polo was the real highlight. It was basically a savory rice dish cooked with finely diced beef, chopped green beans, tomato paste, and warm spices. Topped with saffron. So imagine a bite with the puffy, soft rice, the meaty beef, the juicy & sweet green beans, and an overall warm flavor. Super rich in flavor. While their menu did not list a la carte rice, they did offer these choices, so I highly recommend you to get one even if you do not want to order Chinjeh. Service was much worse compared to food. First, I waited for over 3min even if I made a reservation; I ended up sitting at the bar. Then I told the bartenders three times I was ready to check before I finally got the bill, and two times I needed a box before I finally got one. As a result my uber cancelled the trip and I had to wait for another one... I will go back to try other dishes though.

Went here for the first time on Valentine's Day this year and had a really great experience. We had a 5 PM reservation and although there was a short wait, it was completely understandable since they were very busy that evening. We were seated on the patio, which was packed but still had a warm and pleasant atmosphere. Our server Jam provided outstanding service from start to finish. He was attentive, mindful of my dietary restrictions, and always made sure we had everything we needed, whether it was water refills or placing another order. He checked in on us several times without being overwhelming and truly made our special occasion feel even more special. The food was delicious. We ordered the mushroom hummus, yogurt duo, and the vegetable kebab, and everything tasted fresh and flavorful. The yogurt duo was my favorite. It was so good that we ended up ordering a second portion. The vegetable kebabs were not your typical boring vegetables. The grilled pineapple was such a pleasant surprise and added a really nice flavor that paired perfectly with the vegetables, rice, yogurt, and the sabzi they bring out at the beginning. The feta cheese tasted very fresh and light. We also got the flourless chocolate cake to go and were really impressed with how rich and flavorful it was, especially for a gluten free dessert. This is a great place for a date night, special occasion, or honestly anytime you want really good food. We will definitely be back.

This place is so good, excellent wine list !!! Update: they continue to delight all the senses with the food presentation and world class wine sections.

Amazing food and service ! The ambiance was incredible as well. I definitely recommend dining here. The beef kabobs were really flavorful and juicy! We got them cooked medium rare and we enjoyed it. The rice was pretty flavorful and we enjoyed the greens bean too. The eggplant dish was great! It paired very well with the bread. The service was incredible ! Our server was very attentive and came to refill our waters and change our plates. He even brought out a dessert as we were celebrating a birthday.

Awesome birthday celebration! We were a large party of almost 20. We were greeted upon arrival and then the manager came over to greet us and tell us a limitless about the dining experience we were about to have. We had a curated menu with several options for our 3 course meal -appetizers, entrees and desserts. Everything was delicious! Portions were generous and the experience was fantastic!

Taleah was our server. She's awesome. Great personality with excellent service . She explained everything and recommended a side which turned out delicious. The rice was heavenly. Atmosphere is very nice. Very romantic setting. There's valet too! I definitely recommend this restaurant at this location. I will definitely come back when i visit next in the spring/summer 2025.

I went to this amazing place before catching my flight to Istanbul. Here is the summary of my amazing experience at this place in the Sandy springs location. 1) Ambiance 5/5: This is a fine dining restaurant with pleasant decor and ambiance which is soothing and inviting at the same time. The lightly dim light sets the mood and you can have date nights here as well. The only thing is that this place has little to no parking so get ready to have valet parking here. 2) Service 6/5: Although it was very crowded on a weekday and we did not have a prior reservation, we were pleasantly surprised to get seating pretty quick and also the food service was really quick. The people service us were helpful, pleasant and resourceful. 3) Food 5/5: Here is the summary of the food we had: a) Mirza Ghasemi: This is a Persian twist on my favorite Indian eggplant dish called baigan bharta. This was is less spicy and delicious. We all loved it. The quantity was great as well. It was served with Pita bread b) Chicken Kabob with Shirin: We had the option to swap the rice with anything on the menu. We tried the chicken kabob with Shirin which is a flavorful rice with orange zest, pistachios, almonds, and barberry. It was delicious and people who like sweet rice would love it. The chicken was tender and juicy with a great flavor profile. The server divided it into two plates and brought it for us. The quantity is good enough for 2 people. 4) Value for Money 5/5: At first it might look that this place is costly which is true but when you look at the food portion and the experience you are getting with such amazing service, this is totally worth it. I am coming back very soon to experience this place again :) The Good: 1) Quick Service 2) Ambiance 3) Food portions

Absolutely loved my meal! The service was super quick which was great because we were super hungry . I split my dish and it was the perfect portion. I had the Chicken Kabob but switched the regular rice with the Shirin rice. The Shirin rice is sweet so if you prefer the standard salty rice, I'd recommend a different option though I think they have 6 different rice options to choose from! The chicken had a yummy marinade and it just tasted like juicy, great grilled chicken. Definitely recommend it. The restaurant is a bit loud but overall great experience and food was amazing. Would definitely return.

Will they issue separate checks to a part of 3?

Best to let the server know ahead of time. I recall them splitting a check on a 3 person table (2 tabs).

    Do you need lunchtime reservations?

I highly recommended it, but I walked in before an early afternoon rush and grabbed a table outside. The two of us had a lovely late lunch/early dinner on a Saturday around 3ishpm

    Is the lunch menu discontinued?

There is no lunch specific menu.

Do they have any outdoor seating during Covid?

    Yes!

Are the kabobs and rice etc ordered to be shared? Meaning you order a variety and it can feed the table family style

Yes! There is a lot of food, but if you're really hungry you can probably eat it yourself and have leftovers!

Definitely a place to be seen and eat well. There's a parking garage but it was full when we got there, so we did valet, which was surprisingly affordable. Service was wonderful. Our server was attentive, helpful, and super knowledgeable about the menu. As for the food, we got: Aguachile de Pescado, which was insane. Super fresh, bright, citrusy, ceviche-like with perfect texture. I would go back just for that. The Hamachi was clean and bright. That avocado sauce tied everything together and gave it some depth without overpowering the fish. The Pork Belly Tostadas were crispy and rich with that smooth avocado mousse and sweet mango salsa balancing it out perfectly. Finally, the bone marrow with steak... so good. I had seen pictures of it before I came and it did not disappoint. The steak was incredibly tender. They bring blue corn tortillas and suggest making a taco with the marrow, steak, and avocado. It's great that way. But honestly, the marrow and steak stand perfectly on their own. Whole experience was excellent. Easily one of my favorite spots in the city now.

We had someone in our party with a gluten allergy, and our sweet server was doing his absolute best, bless. We were steered away from the tostadas as a starter due to gluten concerns, so we pivoted to guac...which then arrived with a gluten-free tostada. So the tostadas would have been totally fine! Then a good while after we'd all ordered, she was told her entrée had gluten and needed to be changed. She reordered, and almost immediately, the rest of the table's food came out. So we were left choosing between eating without her or letting everything go cold. And the plantains she'd reordered around, because she'd been told they couldn't be made gluten-free? Turns out they absolutely can be. Just miss after miss there. The spicy margarita was more of a margarita that once passed a jalapeño on the street. I asked for extra jalapeño juice and they were happy to help, but without the seeds and ribs it just couldn't deliver on the heat. I'd skip the margs next visit. This just wasn't quite the relaxed easy dinner we'd hoped for, and the price point feels like it's a step ahead of where the experience currently lands. But I'm rooting for them to get there!

I came here on a work trip so there was a LOT going on: food buffets, bar mania, games of all sorts. Had I come here with a group of friends to play games and sip on a drink I think I would have had a different (read: better) experience. That said, I appreciate that B&B exists and what it's trying to do. Despite being here as part of a big group, the staff was perfectly lovely and patient. That's not always the case when it comes to dealing with large groups. The food menu is confusingly large and caters to about every taste.* I got a little grossed out at the thought of eating around so much dust. Board games and consoles are dirty/dusty. They show both easily. Eating around/in that didn't appeal to me. What *did* appeal to me, though, was the thought of drinking a potion. From the glass (straight up D&D) to the color (blue), I was all in. The Mana Potion had a lot of the right elements (gin, blue curacao, elderflower liqueur, lemon, and Sprite) but the extra zhuzh for our party was team too much. The edible glitter made the drink a bit thick and didn't do wonders for my stomach. It's a tough criticism because I was here for an extra sparkly drink/potion. Definitely on brand. For me, Battle & Brew is an odd space that could benefit from some editing. But, it looks like I am in the minority. I can agree with not being the target audience. So, gamers, have at it! *I didn't experience much in the way of GF/DF/VG options but, again, target audience.

I was truly excited to try this place because it is such a cool concept. Went yesterday for dinner…read morewith my husband, daughter, and my friend and her daughter. We opted for the board games for $7 so that we could play together at the table while we ate, which is a great idea in theory but the execution left a lot to be desired. Most of the games we tried to play were old, dirty (yuck), and incomplete. For example, we were unable to play Guess Who because both the red and blue lineups were missing people and many of the people cards were torn into pieces. We were able to play What Do You Meme, but it was obvious that most of the meme cards were missing, so we had to stop abruptly when we ran out of new cards. Since people are eating and playing, effort should be made to keep the games clean, or at the very least, provide hand sanitizer at each table so that guests aren't grossed out about handling dirty game pieces in between grabbing bites of their sandwich or other finger food. I just feel like even though $7 for board game play is reasonable, it felt far less justifiable after experiencing the issues I just explained. If you are going to charge people any amount to use the games, ensuring that those games are complete and sanitary seems like a reasonable expectation. Service was okay but most of the food did not even meet the okay standard. We started with mozerrela sticks, which were okay. The fries with all our meals were obviously the frozen bagged kind you can find at any grocery store. They added seasoning but it's not enough to hide the fact that you are eating frozen fries at a sit down restaurant. My husband ordered the Don't Call It Hotlanta chicken sandwich and I think that was probably the best tasting thing we all ordered. I ordered the ATLA with cheese and did not like it very much. The bread was too crispy, the cheese was cold, and the overall flavor just didn't do it for me. My daughter ordered the mac and cheese with a side of fries. It does say on the menu that it is Kraft mac and cheese. She didn't complain, but she's 12 and not too picky so no surprise there. I had a soda water, my daughter had a sprite, and my husband had two mixed drinks (I think margaritas). Our total bill including the $7 for a crappy board game experience came out to $94 before tip. It was not worth it and I would never return for dinner nor can I recommend that others consider this a worthy dinner spot. Nevertheless, it would be a cool spot to come to with a big group of friends to play the computer and video games while enjoying a few drinks and maybe an appetizer or two. I could see that being a fun experience and would be open to returning to play the video games with friends or maybe one of their event nights like trivia that sounds like a good time, but I won't come back specifically for dinner because there are far better place to get a far superior meal for that price around here. So, at the end of the day, two stars is my review for the dinner and board game experience, but it would probably be closer to a 4 for just video games and drinks or events because I don't think there is anything else like it around here. I am not 100% on pricing for the video games but I think I saw something like $20 per hour, which I think might be a little pricey. However, I am not a big gamer myself so I may not be the best judge of that.

They set up multiple bars for bigger events so you don't have to wait on line for long, and they typically already include tax and gratuity automatically. They've switched to valet parking only, or at least for the event I went to. It was $15 but they say you can park for free at the Walmart down the road.

I opted to park at the Wal-Mart and wasn't as familiar with the trail so I took the street route. Well-light and populated for safe crossing. The venue is very open and was relatively empty since we arrived shortly after it opened. I love the indoor seating concept with plenty of couches, movable chairs, tables near the open-area space and smaller sections for 2-4 people tucked away along the wall. The DJ was already doing his thing and the bartenders remained busy. As someone who wasn't interested in the drinks, I appreciate that there was a self-serve water cooler in the center of the room. The Jenga and jumbo Uno cards were a hit!!!! It was so nice to have these options available. And as others mentioned, the large screen was playing a classic movie - which we could still see from inside. I didn't stay long and this was a Sunday night but the parking lot was much busier when I left. I imagine the outdoor space gets crowded later in the evening as well. The DJ was just okay - not my cup of tea - but folks seemed to be enjoying themselves. I can definitely see why this place is popular. Although parking is less than desirable, it is not unreasonable. The venue is well-lit and easy to move around. The crowd was diverse, with various ages and backgrounds represented. And depending on the DJ, this would be a great place for meeting with friends, date night or just zoning out to some wonderful music ... especially on a beautiful night. If you're in the mood for something different AND don't mind the trek to Chamblee, check it out.
