This is one of my favorite local restaurants. It has a nice vibe and the food and service are consistently good. Love their fish tacos. Try their Rum Punch and Key lime martini. Yum! read more

My family and I love eating here on occasion. We would go more, if time allowed for us to do so. The kids enjoy the waterfront and the boat ride to cow fish, when it's operating. The drinks are yummy and the food is unique. Fish tacos are my favorite here. Not a ton of options for kids on the menu but we make do with all the other delicious options. The valet parking is helpful too! Atmosphere very nice. read more

Stopped by here on the way to Montauk... great location and ambience. Drink and food match the view. Highly recommended if you are in the area !! read more

I recently went here for a birthday dinner and I left very displeased. I waited extraordinarily long for my food, and when it came out it was less than pleasant. The wait staff seemed very respectful which is a plus, however I can't shake this nagging suspicion that they are treated poorly. The manager on duty was a tall man who seemed condescending towards his employees. This place seems like a wonderful eatery to work at however after watching his interactions with the waiters I feel bad for the waiters/waitresses. As a former waiter myself, I could NOT let this slide. Would I recommend this place? Nah. Not to my worst enemy. In fact, I wouldn't recommend it to my worst enemy's worst enemy. read more

Always a fun place and great Rum Punch's Parking is a problem

I can't believe how wonderful the food was! The waitstaff were so friendly and fun. Trust me, save room for dessert! Fantastic. read more

Ate at the bar and enjoyed some Great tacos! Staff was great and transportation was provided due to limited parking at the restaurant!

Love it ! Food,Drink ! Everything! Shrimp tacos the best totally recommend this place

Rumba is consistently fantastic. The food is very good. The Dominican ribs are amazing. The artichokes are delicious. The tacos are the best! The long waits are so worth it!! read more

Nice place to go when you are looking for island themed food. Delicious meal and great service!

I really liked this place!! Atmosphere was great, drinks were refreshing and the view was beautiful. It is one of those places you end up missing out on plans you had to go somewhere else. I only drank here but will be coming back for food as it looked good. There seemed to be an army of staff, almost overwhelming at times as they seemed to be bumping into each other and running around but at that point I was on my 3rd rum punch. Justin behind the bar was great to us and advised us on a couple of hot spots in the area so kudos to him. The only thing I would love to see is live music here although the space may not allow for it. Def a great spot worth checking out! read more

Yum yum yum!!! The food was sooooo good!! Didn't expect to have such flavorful West Indian food out in the Hamptons! The reggae music was an awesome touch read more

The staff was very nice and courteous. I had a great time with my girlfriend there. We had the Dominican Ribs which were really good and also had various Tacos. Those were delicious. Also had the drink with the Jalapeno in it. I forgot the name but very tasty drink with a kick. We will certainly come back here again. Parking is limited here, so I suggest parking at their sister restaurant Cowfish and take the ferry they have there to Rumba. Its a very nice and romantic ride back and forth. read more

I've been visiting Rumba since its opening and have always been pleased with the food and service. There is nothing necessarily "local" about the menu dishes, but that is made up for within the quality of the food. As with many other restaurants and eateries in the area, the prices continue to rise undoubtedly each summer season, yet the quality of entrees and service remain unchanged. My favorite time to visit Rumba is during the affordable Happy Hour they host each weekday from 3-5 PM which include half off - well liquor, beer, wine, along with $5 - margaritas, sangria and their famous rum punch. Many appetizers are also included in the half off discount, but be weary because this is only applicable at the bar and surf table. The apps I enjoy most are the seared ahi tuna or delectable duck empanada paired with a margarita, corona, or chardonnay. As a younger and local guest It'd be great if they added a discount or special for nearby neighbors. If their prices were just a little lower, they would be busier than they already are. Overall, a good choice for dining, they know what it takes to operate a restaurant in "The Hamptons." read more

Delicious fresh food and excellent drinks! Beautiful view overlooking the bay. We went for lunch and I had the ahi tuna salad which was great. My friends had the crab cakes, fish tacos and coconut risotto. Everyone raved about it! read more

This was my third experience dining with RUMBA and -- like the first two -- it was excellent. This time, my girlfriends and I, staying in HB for the weekend, were shut out of dining at RUMBA due to limited seating during the pandemic. We decided to order out. After pestering the hostess with our dietary questions, we placed an extensive order to go for four people that was over $200. Unfortunately, after we placed the order we received an urgent call from our friend's husband that forced us to return to the city immediately. When we didn't pick up our order, the restaurant called us and we explained what happened. Unprompted, the restaurant gave us a full refund. We were shocked! I would absolutely return to this restaurant again - they were extremely considerate and we are super grateful!! read more

Best waterfront restaurant in the Hamptons. Consistently friendly and great service as usual. The menu selection is fantastic and their food is even better!!! Tacos and Rum Punch are a must!!! Thanks for being open during these challenging times and offering curbside pickup. We're glad to be able to support our local businesses! read more

Been a regular here since they opened! Still some day one employees we love to see because they know me and my husband by name. Ask for Jess or Erin they're great waitresses! You have to try the Dominican ribs (fall right off the bone) and they have a spicy sweet margarita with blackberries... soooo good. Only complaint is they close on Tuesday's in the winter and that's my night off with my family! But we still make time to go read more

This place is fantastic every single time. One of my favorite restaurants. The ribs and tacos are insane.

Love this place, been there a bunch of times. Ribs and rum punch are my favs. Can't say enough good things about this place. One thing I hate is the parking situation, nothing you can do just limited space. Definitely recommend just take a cab or the rum bus. read more

Went to this place on a Saturday night. Needless to say, It was busy!!! It is located right by the water. The food was excellent!! And generous portions for the amount that they charge. The Rum punch was sweet (a little too sweet for me) but the original mojito was just perfect!! Service was excellent too. Our party was bigger than what we had reservations for and they tried to accommodate us as soon as they could (within a half hour). Truly enjoyed this place and would definitely return! read more

So I came here during the summer with my girlfriend and her boyfriend and two others to have a nice lunch near the water. Well, what was supposed to end up just being a relaxing day ended up being a crazy evening! We were told a wait about 15-20 minutes for a table, ended up to be about 35 minutes. However we were able to get a seat at the bar, which was great. The bartender was attentive and helpful. The drinks (mojitos) were great as so were the prices. I can't quite remember what we had to eat exactly but I know I had some sort of tacos which were delicious! I can't wait to come back out here again this summer! read more

Food was good but the costumer service was definitely lacking. We were told we had to leave for taking pictures in front of the water even though we just had an entire meal at the restaurant. Costumer service can go a long way especially if you are a paying costumer. It's not hard to be nice :) read more

Great food! Can't go to Rumba...just bring it to you! We picked up a whole bunch of tacos and some rum punch and we were not disappointed. Great curbside pick up. Easy and quick! Thank you Rumba for a great meal! read more

I've lived in hampton bays my whole life and rumba is one of the most consistently great restaurants that's ever been around. The drinks are always delicious and the food is unique and incredibly fresh. My partner is vegan and she's ALWAYS able to order the fresh vegetable platter (request it vegan and they will accommodate) and the servers, waitresses, and the manager always follow up to make sure it's correct. They even know that honey is a debated vegan item and always ask before using it on her food. Not only are the food and drink great but the atmosphere can't be beat right on the water with big windows to see it if you're seated inside! Definitely make your way here if you're in the area! read more

A go-to for years! Fabulous drinks, delicious food and an environment that welcomes flip flops just as much as Ferragamo's. The summer can be a bit busy for them, so be sure to go back in the fall/ winter when the waits are a bit shorter. read more

Food was delicious but the rum punch wasn't anything like a true Jamaican rum punch. If you own a Caribbean restaurant, you should make your drinks as authentic as possible. Drinks are their weak point. I had a mojito and it was disappointing also. I guess they're counting on people not to know their Caribbean drinks. I come from a multicultural jamaican background and travel to Jamaica Regularly. I know my cultures drinks. Just find a better recipe for a good mojito and authentic rum punch and your restaurant will be 5+ stars all the way. Same goes for your restaurant Rhumba in the Hamptons. read more

Some of the best food in the Hamptons. One little mistake with the order and they over delivered to make it right.

Good food, great laid back atmosphere and the staff is very friendly. Would recommend!

Based on the reviews we decided to give this place a try-- so glad we did. The Duck Empanadas were delicious-- so much so we had to put in a second order (yes, they were just as good the second time). They were bursting with flavor, had a great flaky texture and wasn't at all greasy-- basically everything you would want from an Empanada. Although I will say that I could've done without the sauce that came on the side. But don't let that stop you, you should def order the Duck Empanadas to start. For my entree I had the Soy and Sugar Cane Salmon. It had a subtle smoky flavor with a light glaze. It came with coconut risotto which I did not enjoy. But that may have been my fault for seriously underestimating my dislike for coconut flavored foods. It also came with 'veggie of the day', which was corn on the cob that night so I swapped it out for the field greens salad. The salad had candied pecan so naturally it was a winner, despite the abundance of minced red onions. I also had a Mojito but it was so weak that I'd rather not talk about it. read more

Rumba - Soy and Sugar Cane Salmon, Coconut Risotto and Field Greens Salad - Caribbean Near Me - Hampton Bays, New York

Started with the coconut mojito- ridiculously amazing! Some guac and chips, the grilled artichoke (to die for) and the crabitizer...followed by another coconut mojito (thank You bartender!!) the Rastafarian taco (for all of the vegetarians out there) and fish taco for the pescatarians... Washed down with (an unbelievable) coconut mojito. What a treat! read more

Came here on Father's Day for my birthday, besides from having to park in the auxiliary parking lot since valet was full I had to wait 10 minutes until the bus picked me up. I wasn't gonna let a little walking and waiting on a beautiful day on my birthday ruin my whole experience. Once the bus brought me to the restaurant I met my wife and dog outside on the deck with a nice view of the bay. Because this is a rum bar they have my favorite diplomatic rum!! we started off with the double dip and a side Caesar salad. Double dip consisted of fried chips with guacamole dip and a pimento cream cheese kind of dip which was a little on the spicy side very good and flavorful. Caesar salad was nice and fresh pretty normal and simple but made very well. For my entrée I got fish tacos and steak tacos always on point here very delicious would definitely recommend mahi-mahi is the best. Our waitress was friendly and attentive they were a little on the busy side since it was a holiday but all in all had a great experience. read more

i cant believe my eyes when i see reviews toting this nothing restaurant as the "best in the hamptons". the only thing done right in this house of mediocrity is the rum punch...but then they go and blow that by charging $26 for a pitcher half filled with ice. i sample the so called seared tuna appetizer but what was placed in front of me was tuna that was basically cooked through with a mushy texture much like cat food. i guess the "chef" missed the day they taught searing fish at the culinary institute of america...hah. the tacos are also laughable and i would guess that the meat being used was not marinated for more than 5 minutes and is also improperly seasoned. the duck empanadas are edible although i couldnt taste much duck. as far as entrees ive tried the ribs, the salmon, and the shrimp, all improperly seasoned and all bland. the service is fine and friendly and i just love when the chef walks around the dinning room like king richard the fourth handing out sweaty handshakes. he should probably spend more time in the kitchen and less time patting himself on the back and genitals. best, maxta p read more

So we came from a long way to go visit this place. Hearing nothing but amazing things about it as it was a new restaurant opening up in the Hamptons. We got exactly what we expected with amazing food and excellent service. They have a filiated restaurants up the road that are also top-notch which I've been to in prior years. The drinks at the bar to the environment outside made a guarantee that this a five star review for us. We come out here often and will definitely back to enjoy the scenery on good summer days. read more

It's pretty good, but it benefits from not having a whole lot of competition in its price range (except for Cowfish, which is owned by the same people). It's either cheap dives or really overpriced garbage, and then these places sit right in between it all. Gets packed out with the worst people you could imagine during the summer but I guess that's the Hamptons for you. Food is good, drinks are strong, prices are more or less what you'd expect. The scallops are great and the coconut risotto is awesome. read more
