Very tasty and well priced caribbean food in an amazing atmosphere! We took the barge from Cowfish and enjoyed the spectacular sunset on the boat - this is a unique experience that I suggest to everybody! It can get very crowded during weekend summer nights so make sure to book in advance! We didn't and it was a bit of a struggle to find a spot to seat. read more

This place is great but recently they took off the pulled pork tacos with a sweet sauce and crispy onions, please bring them back!!!!!

The food was delicious! From Drinks, to appetizers, to main course, then desserts-everything was different & so flavorful! Nice atmosphere, the staff were all nice & welcoming. Highly recommend! read more

This is the go to spot for my family when we want to go out and celebrate a birthday!! It is totally worth the 45 minute ride from where we live! Whoever gets chosen to be the designated driver for the night is always upset they're going to be missing out on the Rum Punches though. They are amazing !! We have tried so many of the different appetizers and entrees here but everyone seems to be in agreement that the Dominican Ribs are the best thing on the menu. I also love the Shrimp tacos. I get them every time. The place also has such a tropical, happy vibe you just can't help but be in a good mood as soon as you get there. It is right on the water with a beautiful view while you're eating or drinking! Can't wait until the warmer months get closer because we will be back ! read more

Always a great experience. Good is excellent and drinks are always spectacular! Service always friendly

From the outside views, to the great tasting food and drinks , as well as outstanding service, Rumba did not disappoint. Enjoyed an early dinner with lots of appetizers and their rum punch. The menu has various Caribbean inspired dishes and the prices are reasonable. Would definitely return read more

Really a 3.5 star experience but If you have to choose between 3 and 4 stars... The food is here supposedly island/Caribbean inspired, but my husband got the jerk chicken and it was far from a taste of the islands. It was dry and super bland. My fish tacos were decent, though a small portion (and I'm a small gal so I don't usually mind smaller portions). I can see how this would be a fun, convivial environment most times. However, for covid times, the outdoor tables were squished far too close together. And we had the unfortunate soundtrack of a rowdy group of drunk young men shouting at each other. Not a great experience, but not something I fault the restaurant for. All in all, we left feeling like we overpaid for average (and, in my husband's case, below average) food. We'd maybe give it another try post-covid, but we wouldn't go out of our way to do so. read more

Ok so we stumbled on this place while we were looking at houses. Our kids were hungry and I was not sure how the food was going to rate. It was amazing and I have thought about this restaurant all winter. We are going back to Long Island this month. This is on all of our list. The food and drink was amazing. The staff was awesome and when we go back I will add pics. It will not disappoint. I loved it. read more

There is a great vibe here, starting with valet parking, a bar that has extra standing room in the main area, lots of tables, and an outdoor porch out back with tables and a counter seating area. The counter seating overlooks the water, and it's worth the wait if you go as a group of 2 or 3. The menu has some real hidden gems, the drinks are top notch, prices are reasonable. It did get a little too crowded and loud, and people nearby who were getting too tipsy were annoying. But it felt laid back and chill. Second time here and I'd go back again. read more

We weren't waited on in a timely matter.... but after a bit of honest confusion they made up for it with an awesome appetizer and amazing service from then on! The tacos were amazing so was the Island Burger ! Fries were hot and crispy! Love that there is a dock you can walk out on and a tiny bit of beach... wish I knew you could sit by the dock, I would've waited for that seat. read more

Loved having dinner here recently. Great atmosphere, great staff with quick service, great food, and a beautiful view! Even though we were nervous that there was going to be a long wait by the look of the place when we walked in as a table of 5, we were quickly seated. We were given menus and the waiter gave us time to decide where to begin. I started with a rum punch drink. It was good, but was more on the fruity side than having a stronger taste of alcohol. For my main course, I ordered the tuna burger, which was delicious! So fresh and seasoned really well. My fiancé ordered a jerk chicken dish with coconut risotto which he said really had a kick, which he enjoyed. The others we were with ordered tacos and a jerk chicken salad which everyone enjoyed. Having the view of the water was the perfect touch for this establishment. Definitely felt like a mini vacation! read more

Great location ! If its nice out go outside and watch the boats usually from april - sept they have the runbarge that goes from cowfish back to rumba. The double dip is by far my favorite appetizer. The coconut martini and margaritas are delicious The tacos are great. They even have food for vegetarian palates . read more

Good food. Horrible service. Very successful restaurant chain that clearly isn't paying attention to service level at one of its core restaurants. read more

First off let me say that this place is awesome staff is very friendly, welcoming and pleasant. I had the Beenie rum punch which was good but be careful because they will sneak up on you. Mojito was good also, pina colada was tasty but not really my thing due to being on the rocks. Our waitress Conchetta was really nice gave good food suggestions and was very attentive. For appetizers we had Caribbean wings 9/10, Dominican Ribs 10/10, shrimp taco 10/10, pulled pork 10/10, fish taco 8/10. For entrees we had chili pork tenderloin 6/10 didn't really like how the pork was cooked and didn't have much flavor to my liking. Soy and sugar cane salmon 8/10 didn't really like the risotto. read more

My one year wedding anniversary landed on father's day this year so I thought it would be impossible to get a good table. I put in a reservation and they sat us at a table overlooking the water outside just like I asked! We only had to wait about 5 minutes and everyone was so friendly and just wonderful. I got the ribs which are my all time favorite from them. They were so delicious as always. They made our anniversary dinner one to remember. I can't wait to go back! read more

Excellent restaurant with delicious food, great service and a wonderful atmosphere. We ordered the wings, appetizer ribs, 3 different tacos, guacamole dip, the ribeye steak, and the salmon. Everything was delicious and seasoned, cooked and served just right. The service from the staff was excellent and one of our servers (and a good friend) Brandon was so well knowledgeable in the details of the entire menu that we ended up ordering enough food for 5 people (even though we were 2). The high quality of the ingredients was noteworthy in every dish. The chicken used in the wings was very soft and well seasoned. The dips were great and the ribs were so well cooked you could bite through the bone and taste the bone marrow (literally). The ribeye and the salmon were equally delicious as were their side dishes. Tacos also spot on. What sealed the deal was the mouthwatering tres leches cake which comes with homemade whipped cream. That cake alone is enough to make me want to go back to Rumba. Finally, you can take their small boat and go to their sister restaurant Cowfish and have a drink there and come back. This restaurant not only offers delicious food but also a wonderful experience for an evening. read more

Wow!!! I went here for the first time last night. As I'm already salivating over going back to this yummy eatery, I figured it was worth a review! Food: Cocktails and beer selection was on point. To eat, we started with the duck empanadas and knew we were in for a great meal. I had the Jerk Chicken Platter for dinner. It was my definition of summer dinner perfection. I leaned over to try my friend's Dominican ribs and the meat fell right off the bone! These were the best ribs I have ever tried. Food was extremely fresh and flavorful. Ambiance: Casual, but not lackluster. There was a cute charm to this place that made you feel like you were on a tropical vacation. Definitely a plus that you could enjoy your pre-dinner drinks on the dock; and another plus that they had old beach photographs on the bathroom walls. My group thought these were cute. Service: We had a phenomenal server! I love getting excitement from the server when you ask him/her for a few suggestions off the menu. This girl SOLD US on items that we would have never tried if we didn't ask. Service was attentive and friendly. I hope to be back very soon! read more

Came here years ago and remembered it being decent. This time it was not up to our expectation...a little disappointed Sangria: 3/5 Typical sangria with nothing special. I like that there's different sizes to choose from and it's not crazy sweet like their famous punch Duck Empanadas: 4/5 It's very crunchy & tastes great with the sauce but it's got this heavy duck smell without the sauce Dominican Ribs: 5/5 The rib came right off the bone and was yummy. It's a bit on the sweet side though Fish Taco: 1/5 Fish was not very fresh...the fishy smell ruins the whole thing Shrimp Taco: 5/5 My favorite taco. Huge crunchy fried shrimp with creamy sauce. I would get this again Rasta Taco: 5/5 creamy avocado in soft tortila. My second favorite Pork Taco: 4/5 It tastes just like dominican ribs with tortila. Not bad but would not be my top choice Jerk Taco: 3/5 My BF didn't like this at all. It's a bit on the dry side but I think it's pretty flavorful and still ok Caribbean Mahi: 3/5 I like the coconut sauce and avocado mash that came with the fish. My BF think it's just ok and would not get it again Kids Shrimp: 5/5 You can never go wrong with their shrimp dish. It's always yummy Kids Salmon: 1/5 This is another disappointment... it's extra $2 but all you get is a tiny small sticky note size salmon...the flavor was ok nothing special....I feel bad for my son as this should be an appetizer and not his full meal Coconut Risotto: 1/5 we remmebr last time when we came this was good...but this time it was so slimy and porridge like...each one of us took one bite and never touched it again Staff: 2/5 our waitress would come to check on us regularly. There's a girl that served food and came to collect plates several times and she was obviously not in a good mood...she would not response to "thank you" or "excuse me" she just basically ignore us the whole time while doing her job...the other staffs around us didn't seem happy either....not sure if it's because it's a hot day or if it's miserable working there?? but it definitely made us feel a little uncomfortable being surrounded by unhappy people while trying to enjoy our meal....just not very doable I don't think I would come here with family again. It's pricy without the satisfaction expected. I can see myself coming here with coworkers or friends for some small plates and drinks but don't see this palce for family meal. read more

I've been here before and there food is yummy here's my issue. I came to this place with my family and a baby, we had a reservation and it didn't matter we still were last seated with no urgency. I love the wings, ribs, artichoke, and shrimp tacos, and our waitress was great. I just wish the "hostess" or the GM didn't make us sit at the bar with a baby, and make us feel like we didn't matter even with a reservation. read more

Went to the Hamptons for a night right before 4th of July weekend. Everything was packed. But we waited for a table at Rumba. And I'm so glad we did! The drinks were tasty and strong. We got the Caribbean Punch. The food was fantastic and I loved the outdoor seating. Between us we ordered the Duck Empanada appetizer, the crab cake appetizer, the Dominican ribs appetizer and the Island Ribeye dinner. Every last bite was fabulous and to die for. I would definitely eat there again if I'm in the area in the future. read more

Rumba provides such a fun and beautiful dining experience. A large group of us arrived on Thursday evening and waited about an hour and a half for a table --not bad at all for a group of 9 on a holiday weekend! While we waited, we got a round of rum punches and went down to the water to take in the sunset views. Service was attentive, a pleasant surprise considering how crowded the restaurant was, but it did take quite a while to get our entrees. For appetizers, we got the grilled artichokes, Dominican ribs, double dip (guacamole and pimento cheese), and the seared tuna. I wasn't impressed by the cheese, but the guac and seared tuna were very good!! I didn't try the grilled artichokes, but it seemed like no one at the table was a fan. The Dominican ribs though were AMAZING! Slathered in the tastiest stickiest spicy-sweet sauce, those ribs were one of the best dishes we had that night. For entrees, almost everyone got tacos! The taco of the day was a buffalo chicken type taco, and all who ordered it couldn't stop raving about it. We also tried the shrimp, fish, chicken and carnitas tacos. You definitely can't go wrong with any of them --they were all sooo good, and very filling! Our waitress recommended three per person, but with the appetizers, we all agreed two each would have sufficed. Didn't make it to dessert because we were all too full, but the drinks were enough to satisfy everyone's sweet tooth! ;) Overall, Rumba's location is gorgeous, but paired with excellent food and drinks, it truly makes for an enjoyable dining experience. Highly recommend!! read more

I wish I can give this restaurant more than 5 stars. Relaxation, peace, & happy faces all over the place is how I describe the vibes of this place. That island decorations is very on point. The staff are very friendly & always aware of their work. The food is incredibly delicious & the prices are reasonable for the quality they provide. It's worth the wait, our appetizers took a long time to arrive, but the (manager-owner) was extremely kind & attentive. He handled it pretty well. A place that was much better than we expected. Professional service began with the parking attendant, continued with the host who accurately estimated our wait time, great waitstaff, and concluded with the manager coming over at the end to check and chat. Our two cocktails, a rum sangria and a dark and stormy, were large and delicious, although the former was quite sweet and may not suit all tastes. We split an order of Dominican ribs. These were fall off the bone tender and savory. Also on the sweet side, so if you're craving something spicy, try something else. Crab cakes as a main came two to an order. Well seasoned, but not lump crab. (Note... we're not in Maryland). The plate was redeemed by superb garlic mashed potatoes, and elevated by a great piece of elote with chipotle lime butter. My companion's ahi tuna salad was fresh and delicious, with lots of mango and avocado. Someone here knows how to cook. The mammoth piece of key lime pie, with pecans in the graham cracker sealed the deal. A nice tart filling, great crust and lots of whipped cream will always please. Four stars for food, five for service, so I am rounding to five....Check in for a 5% discount on food. read more

Stopped in for a quick dinner last Friday with my boyfriend. It was my first time dining here but I go to sister restaurant Rhum occasionally! I was excited to experience the new atmosphere with the yummy food I know they offer. They were very busy for a Friday night in the winter! It was very nice to see. Unfortunately we were seated on the enclosed patio and it was very cold with a draft coming in so we had to keep our jackets on the whole time. We ordered the duck empanadas, a Buffalo solider taco, shrimp taco and rastaman taco. Everything was very good!! I would definitely recommend the duck empanadas, very flavorful. Our food took awhile to come out but I did here the waitress mention to another table the kitchen was backed up. I'm never one to complain about that, so personally it didn't bother me. Especially in these unprecedented times, everyone's doing their best. Upon paying we got a cool incentive to come back, an envelope that you have to bring back closed to either Rumba or Cowfish and it'll be 25% up to 100% off your bill! So awesome!!! I would definitely recommend visiting Rumba! If you plan on visiting in the winter maybe make a reservation so you don't get seated on the enclosed patio! read more
