Very good selection and healthy plants, but extremely expensive. Can buy them online for the same price or cheaper. If you are looking for something exotic, then this is the place to go. If you are looking for just normal plants that grow in this area, houseplants or landscaping, then anyplace away for downtown Dallas will be much cheaper and just as good. Me and my partner have done business with Ruibal's plants of Texas for many years, I can definitely tell you I will no longer do business or refer business to this company. One of their employees made a pretty noticeable scratch on my truck and after receiving three estimates from three separate Body shop's, all in the thousands to repair. They have since then denied the claims and have also denied to make things right. On the contrary, Nicholas and his boss question why I'm using a newer truck for work. If you are going to continue to purchase plants or anything from this company, I warn you don't use any newer vehicles as they do not care if they damage any of your personal property. read more

This was a great place. Has a lot of plants in a small space and for really good prices. Flats were roughly $22 per flat for some good growing healthy plants. They had a Weeping Pussy Willow for $29.99, tho they are raising the price to $39.99. Didn't see anything real exotic or off the wall, tho what they have is healthy and well priced. This time of year I always find my way to Ruibal's for some beautiful plants to spruce up my yard with pops of color and greenery after the winter time grey's. This downtown locations is my favorite! The staff at Ruibal's is so helpful and courteous. If they don't have what you want at the time, they'll do their best to find it / order it for ya. Ruibal's offers Great Customer Service! I also like the little gifts shop inside. There are so many special little decorative pots, unusual little containers, Buddha's, figurines, wind chimes and all types of succulents....all sorts of little garden things..... many great gift ideas and home & garden decor ideas. I love the selection this store has. But sadly the last two plants I have gotten have mealy bugs and have pretty much died off except for small propagations I was able to save. Sad I've spent a decent amount of money for two leaf propagations and cures for mealy bugs read more

My family was excited to get up this morning and come see a new (to us) nursery after visiting the Dallas Farmers Market. While the selection is great and the staff ruined this experience. My dad is a master gardener. He asked a staff member about a specific plant and if they had it in a certain color. Nonetheless, when he asked the staff about the it, they quickly dismissed him and told him that plant/variety/color doesn't exist. Completely made him feel like an idiot and instead of engaging in an argument with him, dad decided to just walk away and not buy anything. Great location to dallas farmers market, but maybe the staff around the plants could be educated on various plants and varieties so they don't appear to be incompetent, and for sure not so rude. read more

What a fun spot near the Arboretum. There are several other plant finding pickin's to choose from in this area that are great as well. I fell in love with this one today though. I had so much fun picking out a tree and found a few gifts as well. I picked out a Christmas tree that is. The people that work here are so fun and helpful, that it accelerated my holiday mood as well as another green thumb attempt. I asked a ton of questions about perennials and all of that good stuff that I can never remember. I think I already forgot actually. I just know what to bring inside at certain temperatures and that's about all I need to know. I can't be running around wasting my all RAM, DRAM, SRAM or whatever on this stuff ;) I've been to the other location in the Farmers Market but wasn't aware they are the same. This one has been around 4 years or so, but the other is larger and much older. If you want more options you might want to go to the downtown location. Either way, it's fun to deal with such nice people, pick out your foliage of choice and feel free to ask what a moron can't kill. You just don't feel the same sort of love at the big chains, and it's always a treat to support a local business that puts a smile on your face and theirs. This is my go-to for air plants. I've purchased 6 large ones and they are growing fabulously. The also have the fertilizer there. Not sure if it helps but they haven't died so guess it doesn't burn them like other fertilizer. Large air plants are $25... Not sure what they start at since I only purchase the large ones. I spotted this garden center on the way home from a previous Arboretum visit. Turns out Ruibal's is like a small-scale Christina's Flowers for East Dallas. They specialize in bedding and potting plants; their flats of bright coleus, impatiens, snapdragons and pentas drew me in from the main street. They also had a small space on the side dedicated to some surefire perennials such as salvia and daylilies, and a surprising number of japanese maples in the rear. I picked up a couple of Regatta Midnight Blue Lobelias and 2 Confetti Lantanas ($1 each) during my visit. Flats run around $15. Perfect source for annual color, baskets, planter bowls and topiaries if you live in the Lakewood area. What I liked best about Ruibal's is how they itemized everything I bought on my receipt, listing the cultivar name of each plant. read more

What a great neighborhood nursery. Located in the east dallas/ Lakewood area. You can't help but notice this beautiful little gem setting on east grand ave.. If you can imagine a modern day garden of Eden , you have found this place. In addition to many varieties of seasonal plants, during the fall months they have a pumpkin patch that is the envy of many. Since moving to the area, we have used rubials for every planting season. The plants are hearty and thrive very well. The staff cares for them well during their time at the nursery. Speaking of staff... They are very friendly and knowledgable. They are more than eager to help with any questions you may have. Wow, they even load your purchases for you. Rubials has taken the service of their patrons to the next level. This is why we continue to do business with this outstanding nursery! I am sure you could find better prices but not better service. They care about you. Check them out. Purchased my seasonal flowers here. Impatiens, hibiscus, and hydrangeas. They are all flourishing. The staff is here is very helpful and knowlegable--just discuss the light in the area and they will recommend what to plant. I needed to make my soil more acidic for my planters and they told me to add coffee grounds. Nice tip. read more

This nursery is in a great location for Lakewood residents, but I purchased a mum that began to die almost immediately. Rubials would not give me a refund on the plant and only said they could do 40% off if I wanted to purchase something else. I'm very disappointed and won't be back. read more

We have used Ruibal's for two of our events. While the plants and flowers provided were lovely, the sales department and staff need help in the customer service department. I was always trying to track down who was in charge of our order and trying to pin down payment and other details. A couple of days before the event, I had my assistant double check to make sure things were good to go, and she was told over the phone things were all set. When I personally called the day before to confirm delivery time, the sales rep yelled at me for "not coordinating with them properly." I was shocked. When I asked what I could have done to make it easier for them (really??), the sales rep I shouldn't have had my assistant call because it "really confused the manager." I think the sales rep dropped the ball somewhere and was blaming us. Anyway, they ended up being two hours late delivering the flowers. Luckily, we planned for that and it ended up not effecting our event. We will be using another florist/nursery from now on. read more
