On 7/4/26, a staff member was sitting in the cooler handing out water bottles -- 1-2 each -- to select customers, but skipped over us entirely. When we finally got inside, she asked how we were doing. My 80-year-old mother mentioned it was hot, and the employee replied, "Is it that hot since you're out?" -- dismissive, especially right after handing out water to other customers and not us. It felt like the staff cater to a certain type of customer, and we didn't fit that mold. Very disappointing and disheartening after being loyal customers for so long especially on July 4th.

I only say that to make the point I have been to a lot of nurseries in my day. Covington's is one of the best nurseries I have been to. They have an amazing selection of plants and all of their plants are very healthy and ready for their new homes! Even their half-price greenhouse plants looked great! Their prices were comparable to other local nurseries but selection and service is what Covington's rocks on. I was asked everytime I went to a new section if I needed any assistance. These folks were amazing and I can't wait to come back, even though this place is nowhere near my home!

Went to get some brushes and paint. 3 workers. 1 mixing paint. With a lady waiting. 2 and 3 just shooting the shit on a Saturday morning. The older guy. In shorts and ragged torn white t shirt and a very rotund belly was literally jumping up and down and spinning while me and a man that was also waiting to be helped just staring at him. We must have waited 10 minutes. The guy that had a customer already finished up and offered to help me. At this the rotund guy jumps in how can I help you. I told him NO this young man right here in front of me will help me. You wasted 10 minutes doing ballet while me and this gentleman waited to be served. He got a little upset I didn't want HIS help now . Idk who the boss is here at this store but really? It was a busy morning in there. And you got old men dancing instead of helping. Needs training! Thanks to the young man! He got me what I needed and I went on my way. And I'm all for good times at work but not when ppl are standing around waiting for you to help us. Or at least ask us what we need. I needed paint samples. My second need is that they just let the plants die. Nobody takes care of them properly. Dead and almost dead is what you get here. Sad. I'll go to Lowe's down the road.

One of the gentleman (John) that works there always helps me find exactly what I am looking for and he also offers suggestions on how to successfully grow whatever I am trying to grow. There is a large selection of plants, herbs, and flowers to choose from. There is also a gift shop that has plenty of unique and interesting items to purchase for that special someone. One of the most delightful features of this nursery are the cats that live on the premises. My sons and I love petting the cats; there is one in particular we enjoy seeing the most as he is the sweetest kitty on the property and his name is Vail. If you love plants and love cats definitely check them out!

My husband and I visited on Saturday and there was ONE very unhelpful staff person who did not seem interested in assisting us at all. We finally went up to him to ask for some help. There was no pricing on anything, so when I went to confirm prices against the website, he quoted every single item higher than what had been posted. For instance, the website said hanging baskets ($3.95) I paid $6.95. Begonia flats were listed at $8.95 and I paid $12 something. Every time I mentioned the website he would tell me that the listing was in the office. Ultimately I could have gone to Lowe's or Home Depot and paid almost the same but received actual SERVICE. I wrote an email expressing my concerns and have yet to hear back from anyone.
