had a horrible mothers day experience at ruby tuesdays winder location. we had a large party so we expected to wait: which wasn't a problem. we were told by the nasty hostess it would be a up to a 2 hour wait. she acted like she didn't want to sit us. anyway our party was split up and 4 of our children were place in a booth that seats 2. we didn't complain we tried to make the best of it. however we saw a larger table open up: we asked the waitress "deseree" could we move she said "no problem" (ms. deseree was amazing) but the nasty host wasn't happy with us moving to a larger table. i watched her fuss at the waitress about us moving (didn't say a word) she then went by the salad bar a begin to complain to some other employees about us moving. at this point i became upset so i walked over and asked "is therr are problem ?". after going back & forth the manager in the red shirt basically dismissed our feelings. i began to wonder is it a racail thing because "we're african american" anyway after to my seat i apologized to the customers who saw the argument. the family and i continued on trying to have a pieceful dinner. my sister went outside and bumped into the manager in the red shirt: who said he was about to throw us out. when i heard this i became upset all over again. because we came there to have a good time with my 74 year old mom & 72 year old aunt: not to be treated like crap. i'm not sure if it was a racial thing or not. but we will never go to ruby tuesdays in winder georgia again. i do want to say again that our watress "ms. deseree" was amazing and the highlight of our day...... read more

Went there tonight with the family. What a mistake. Wife did the all you can eat salad. She only got 1 small plate of salad minus some of the items she requested. Never was asked if she wanted more. If you can't have a normal salad bar just shut it down. The servers can't follow the sheet you fill out for your salad so please just stop. The steaks we ordered eh. My son and I asked for medium Steaks his was perfect mine was a hockey puck. I dealt with it since the cooks clearly haven't been trained. Came here for lunch on a Saturday and it wasn't busy at all. As such, service was prompt and friendly. I thought the food was decent especially considering the prices. I got a 6oz filet steak with 2 sides for $13 which is great! Their drinks are also a good price with your mixed drinks (margarita, sangria, etc) putting you back only $6. You can upgrade your drink to a large one for only a $1 more. My only complaint is that my side of mac n' cheese was hard. I think they over baked the pasta so I had several hard pieces of mac n' cheese noodles which wasn't pleasant. Bottom line, I would have given a lower rating if the value wasn't so good. My husband and I frequent this Ruby Tuesday in Winder quite often. Have not had a complaint until tonight. We went tonight (Tuesday) because their webpage states hamburgers for $6.49 and Kids eat Free on Tuesday nights. We had our two grandkids so we figured it would be a good night out without breaking the bank. First problem was it took so long to get our meal. I would say more than 45 minutes. Second, I got a grilled chicken sandwich and it was so salty it was almost inedible. My grandsons got French fries and I don't know what was wrong with them, but they had a funky taste. The hamburgers were good. However, when we got the bill, we were charged $6.49 for the burger and the chicken sandwich and we were charged $5.99 for each of the kids meals. So I told the waitress the children were supposed to eat free and we were told kids don't eat free when the adults order a promotional entree. I looked back on the online ad and there was no mention of kids eat free meals with adult full price menu item. Manager said this was the policy and never came out to explain. Ruby Tuesday needs to state kids eat free with purchase of a full price entree. read more

terrible!!!! the service is the worst. The manager on duty was Sarah. She is very unprofessional. We sat in the bar area and she walked around yelling about procedures. Sarah, stood over at the end of the bar while her employees hung around like minions. They were gossiping about customers and how cheap they are. I met with my siblings and their family for an early lunch before my nephew's soccer game since the park was next to the restaurant. We celebrated my SIL's birthday. We got there before 11 am and waited for the doors to be opened. When we got seated, we all knew what we wanted to order but the waitress is super slow, although she is really nice. It took a good 45 minutes for our food to come out. I mean, seriously? We're the ONLY people in the restaurant. When you're open at 11 am, I assume your cook is ready too. I was highly disappointed with the slow service. We were afraid we wouldn't make it to the soccer game! I ordered chicken garden salad with honey mustard dressing. There was so much salad that I couldn't finish. The chicken is grilled and tasteless. The honey mustard dressing is the very liquidy and running, and the sweetest honey mustard dressing I've ever had. I didn't even like it. I just ate the chicken and that was it. We have bypassed this restaurant for two year since moving to Winder. We decided to try it when friends suggested it for dinner. We have been three times now. We have not been disappointed in the food or the service. We have tried burgers, chicken dinners and several appetizers. Everything was yummy. At noon on a Sunday, it was packed from the after-church crowd. We sat at the bar. I love a lot of the food at RT, and was excited to see the brunch menu, a first for me. I ordered the Crispy Southern Chicken Benedict with the salad bar. My boyfriend ordered the Buffalo Chicken burger with mac-n-cheese and grilled zucchini. RT's salad bar is always a great bet, especially because you have control over what you get. Spinach not looking so fresh? Grab some mixed greens. I also like having the extra topping options. The grilled zucchini was nice, but a bit too oily. The mac-n-cheese was really heavy and would have been a better side with a lighter main. The burger had good flavor and the chicken was pretty tender. The Benedict was the biggest disappointment. It was pretty much an open faced chicken slider with some scrambled egg crumbles. Very nice service from the entire staff. Everyone smiled and greeted us and even though it was slow when we went, they did not hover over our table. Our waitress, Jocelyn, was very timely and got our drinks and our orders without having to write anything down and would work with another table in between. She checked on us just enough and was very pleasant. I had a medium portabella sirloin which was cooked exactly how I prefer and the salad bar was tidy and stocked. Been a long time since I was here-changed a bit- salad bar now. I added it for $3.99 - not bad / kinda of lacking really - but for 4 bucks I guess it will have to do. I ordered the cajun ribeye and 2 shrimp skewers as it is national shrimp day. I asked that the chef NOT be shy w/the cajun seasoning as I really like that stuff. He forgot it entirely - not one bit of seasoning taste - waitress was very friendly and helped as much as she could - she brought me some cajun seasoning - too bad it does not work well unless it's grilled on the item it's being served with. The steak was cooked to a perfect Mid Rare as ordered. I did have an issue w/my 12 oz ribeye being about 25% fat - I cut the huge pieces of fat and took a pic of approx 3+ ounces of pure fat I cut from an expensive steak - not seasoned as I already mentioned. I wish I knew how to post pics here cuz I'd show you the 3+ ounces of fat left on my plate. I saved it on a phone for insertion here if possible later. Wife had the petite sirloin & panko crusted shrimp and 2 shrimp skewers. Sirloin was cooked to Mid Well - NOT Mid Rare as she ordered. She then noticed her crusted shrimp as well as the skewered shrimp were underdone a bit - not acceptable to her - this is not scallops here-this is shrimp - you can't get away w/that w/shrimp. Mine were underdone as well - I hoped she would not notice but too late she did. I asked the waitress to have them toss them back on for 30 sec just too finish them off - which they did + they came out fine. Too late for the wife - she would not even touch them at that point. National shrimp day dinner was ruined. I ate them -haha. Wife only ate her steak - what a wasted visit to Ruby Tuesdays. Meal cost $65 was not worth it. I did tip the waitress $10 since she can't be held responsible for the kitchen staffs issues. She said she would inform the mngr of the issues to which I said thank you and please have him/her review the yelp pages tonight. It is important that they review these pages when they do not come out of the kitchen or office to see exactly what a customers thoughts / concerns are, Corporate does - believe me. I was there waiting to pay the bill for several minutes and the mngr never peaked out to my knowledge. I of course could not wait forever as the wife was waiting in the suv a bit irritated about the meal to say the least. --------- These things could have easily been non-issues. 1) Don't forget the cajun seasoning. 2) Cook both steaks the same way - mine was perfect -hers was NOT. 3) Grill the shrimp properly and don't rush it - You know how to do it. Hey manager :) Get out of the office and do your job or get replaced. This is not the first bad MNGR REVIEW at YOUR PARTICULAR LOCATION. --------- I say this last just as a note: When a large restaurant chain like R.T. starts installing tiny salad bars + offering things like- Tuesday kids eat free. I guess I am not surprised that this restaurant has no reviews. Last night's dinner here was easy to forget. The best part of it was the fact that I got to spend an hour or so catching up with my daughter. I had the "new" menu item of grilled salmon. It was boring and overcooked. The side of cheesy mashed potatoes was cold....not lukewarm, but cold. The side of broccoli was good and cooked just as I like it. My daughter had a steak and lobster tail (not the place I would have ordered that type of food) and finished her meal so I suppose hers was ok. We didn't talk about it, other than the fact that the lobster tail was of a fairly good size. Our server was very attentive and the "extras" we asked for came to the table quickly so no complaints about service. I'll give this rating 3 stars for effort. My husband and I tipped fairly well to the waitress we had who was nice to us. We used a "buy one get the second dish half off" coupon that we received in the mail. It's not that we don't have "money".. It's a coupon, who isn't going to use it? Immediately after I showed her the coupon, her attitude kind of changed. Our dinner portion was super small, the chef didn't even cook my husband any scallop with his actual meal. This place is a 2 star restaurant with 5 star prices. It is rediculous. Haven't been in a long time, recently been twice in last few weeks and both times the servers were not friendly, very short and acted like it was an inconvenience when asked for something as simple as more drink. My son wanted chicken tenders, the server said it came with only 3 and could order a small dinner portion, which came with 4 chicken fingers instead of 3 and was $4 more. I'm sorry. My husband and I came to this location for dinner one night. Everything was fine until my Husband question the portion size of his meal. Go big deal we moved on and the salad bar was great. From that point on our server would not return back to our table when he did he never talk to us nor did he ask any questions or if we liked anything else. We normally like to enjoy dessert drinks etc. but we were never given the opportunity. When I asked did he have a problem with us he said he's just too busy for us. But we saw him talking to all the other tables just fine. With that I addressed the manager on duty and she told me that she would have a talk with him. Not once did anyone apologize ask us if we wanted anything else or anything. It was rude and we have been told to not ever come to this place because they've had similar problems I never dreamed that we would have this problem. Our servers last name was Collen, B. This guy needs to take a refresher course in serving in mannerisms. We understand if your having a bad day or you're too busy but just to completely ignore us would've been better if you had just given our table to somebody else that wanted to be tipped. I took my grandchildren here to have dinner....biggest mistake ever but this is the one place they wanted to eat after living in London for the last 2 years....there were maybe 5 tables in the entire building with customers and we waited almost 45 minutes for our food as I watched it sit in the window getting cold for at least 15 minutes before pointing it out to the waitress who brought it over....yes it was cold and uneatable....the waitress not 1 time checked on our table and the manager was too busy sitting at the bar having a drink and I had to gesture for him to come over and as I told him the issue he just looked at me and asked if I was ready to pay my check....I did not eat anything after the 1st bite nor did my grandchildren....not even an apology but he didn't mind swiping my card for $57....take your business elsewhere....we opted for McDonald s and got better service than at this so called restaurant read more
