Chicken was overcooked, but everything else was good. Server Jasmin does not know how to handle tips. For a $15 check, I placed a $20 in the book. Angling for a $5 tip, she asked pointedly if I needed change. I said yes. She brought back a five dollar bill, still trying for that $5 tip. Came for dinner later on a Friday around 7:30. Could tell right away the hostess was flustered and the place must be understaffed. We ate here because of the close proximity to the hotel we were staying at. Host greeted us with a smile and a hello. Our waiter (young dark hair guy) was very nice and attentive. I ordered the Salmon Ceasar Salad and my dad got the Grilled Salmon with broccoli and zuchhini. My salad was just meh. The lettuce looked old, the salmon was over cooked. My dad's dish looked kinda sad. No sort of presentation to make the dish look prettier. For North Platte, it's a good choice. As a restaurant, I give it a 3 (see below for why), but as a Ruby Tuesday, it gets a 4. Much better food and service than other Tuesdays locations I've been to. It's okay. I think for North Platte, it's a pretty nice restaurant, but even coming from California, I'm surprised by their prices. I think their mixed drinks are just okay, not the worst, but not the best I've ever had. I got a chicken blt and it was really not what I expected, and a little greasier than what I'm used to. Still tasted okay, and I'm a little perplexed at the notion of charging extra to substitute asparagus for french fries. My server was nice, I actually graduated with her. She's propping this rating up a little bit, to be honest. That and the fact that I was in good company, making the night pleasant. 3 people, three entries, one appetizer, two mixed drinks and it amounts to about 70 dollars. Ouch. Okay. Please remember we are in North Platte, but I have to admit that this Ruby Tuesday is pretty good. Service is quick, efficient and friendly. The food wasn't bad. Of course, after a day of living on burgers having some shrimp dishes is a nice change of pace. Really do enjoy the Strawberry Shortcake Sundae. Awful service right at the door. I walked in with 5 family members and said we were a party of 7. The hostess replied "we have no room." Who says that to a customer? Then she rebounded by saying it was an hour wait. I gazed around, while there were quite a few people in the place, there was NOBODY waiting in line like you would see at Applebees or anywhere else. The very first thing I noticed when waiting to be seated was the Manager eating food over the grill and licking his fingers! Should have taken that as a sign, but since we were a group of weary hungry travelers and there were only two tables in the restaurant occupied, it seemed like a good place to get something quick so we could get to the hotel and rest. Wrong! There were three waitstaff working for two tables and it was 20 minutes before one of them decided to mosey over and take our order. 20 more minutes before we received our drinks and 45 minutes to receive the ahem cough, cough, "food". Two ordered pasta dishes which were topped with dried up cheese and had obviously been sitting for most of that 45 minutes under heat lights . One person removed a fettuccini noodle from the top of the order and it stayed straight, as if not cooked. The chicken I ordered was refrigerator cold . The cheese on top wasn't melted. Thankfully, the baked potato was somewhat hot. No one checked back to inquire about the food or to see if there was anything else we needed......ever! I had to ask for the bill after waiting another 30 minutes after everyone was finished.....TWO TABLES...THREE WAITSTAFF! We were never offered a second drink....which. by then, we really need more wine to wash this crap down! I flagged down a very busy waitress interrupting her reading her phone , and asked for a refill. She wasn't our waitress....no one knows where she was.....but she graciously asked our waitress to help us with that. The cleanliness was quite unacceptable....didn't use the restroom and I'm pretty certain that wouldn't have ended well either. Please learn from our mistakes and go somewhere else, or you might end up eating chips and jerky from the hotel vending machine for dinner after a long day of travel. Note; we were comped for the food after I made a complaint....paid for the wine. Still, would recommend eating the jelly packets in the hotel lobby over anything in this place! read more

First impressions: this place needs a deep clean! BAD! Servers are un-enthusiastic. Salad bar was deserving of more stars, but menu in general was over-priced and food was mediocre. Add that to subpar service and a filthy restaurant and a 2 star review is out of reach. read more

Stopped in for a quick dinner while on the road. My turkey burger with a gluten free bun took quite awhile to come out-- maybe 15 to 20 minutes, but the manager voluntarily comped my whole meal, including the GF bun up charge and salad bar. This location was highly lacking in customer service and friendliness! We were surprised when the greeter answered my question " I don't know the gluten free options. Our menu is online and the server can help you". And then the waitress said basically the same thing - no assistance, just told to go online for allergy free menu. We won't be coming back. Food was good minus the fried shrimp, service was not the best one guest sitting at the bar left and his plate cup etc. we're not touched until another couple came in 30 mins later sat at the bar and moved the plate out of the way. I do not recommend this restaurant to anyone, I had the worst experience. The waitress was rude and disrespectful as soon as she came to our table and the only reason I can come up with, is we did not look like anybody else in that restaurant. My son and I ordered an appetizer witch we never received. The waitress brought our drinks first then our meals and walked off in a hurry mind you there was only 4 parties in the restaurant at the time. The only napkins we had was the one that was wrapped around the silverware I asked the busboy for napkins he was amazing sweet and respectful. After 35 minutes the waitress came back and said are you done and started pulling my son's plate away from him it was a full plate of pasta. He replied no I am still working on it she said I will be back with your bill. I politely answered no we are not done and can you please take off our appetizer from our bill because we did not receive it she OK and walked away. When she came back with the bill I said is there a reason you did not apologize for forgetting or appetizer she said I did apologize the last time I was here I left it at that I wasn't going to argue with her. She started walking away again I said excuse me she turns her head around I said I need to speak to your manager she said OK I will get him she did not come back to the table but spoke to me a whole booth away. The manager walked to our table I explained what happened he said ok I will speak to her about it that was it nothing else. This is not up to par as the one we be went to in Minnesota. My steak was dried and burnt on one side (served burnt side up) and so tough. Outside building looks brand new but inside seemed to lack cleaning. Right away I noticed how yucky the millions of fingerprints were on the front door, staff was somwhat friendly but kind of dull. This was thee absolute worst experience and worst food ever! Not one person who works there knows what is going on. My waitress, who the only thing she had to do, was bring water for myself and my husband. She brought only one water, and forgot the 2nd. We ordered the 2 for $22.00, we both got the salad bar! The spinach and artichoke dip came and a few minutes later came 2 dirty plates. The dip was horrible! We told the waitress something is wrong with it and that the manager should try it before they serve it to anyone else. Next we went for the most atrocious salad bar! The lettuce was brown, and it only had enough in it for one person! Wake up people! The plates were hot and had water on them and they were not clean! We had to ask for ranch dressing to be filled up, then no pasta salad, it was a sloppy mess all over the salad bar. Several people were upset because the waitress didn't have their bills and we were all at the hostess stand asking where our bills are and who can take my credit card! Every one who worked there said only waitress can take your card! There were 4 people waiting for someone, anyone to take their money! We went here on the TUESDAY (how sweetly coincidental) before Thanksgiving for lunch (in other words, we didn't want Runza's again). The host greeted us right away with a big smile. We were seated immediately. The decor is very nice: warm browns and black color schemes with modern, comfortable furniture and art work. The menu selections for lunch all sounded delicious; I ended up getting the mini turkey burgers that come with "endless fries" and an 'endless" trip to the salad bar. The choices at the salad bar were pretty good, and even included edamame! There were also a prepared pasta salad and noodle salad at the bar. After my yummy salad, the mini turkey burgers arrived. They were almost as big as a regular sized burger (though their large size didn't stop me from finishing off both of them). The fries were good, but I was too stuffed to take advantage of their "endless" attribute; besides, I had to leave room for Thanksgiving in a couple of days! Overall a great restaurant, and I will most likely go back next time I'm at North Platte, Nebraska. read more

My experience at the Ruby Tuesday in North Plate was exactly what I expected. The food was decent and the service was good. I ordered the chicken quesadilla from appetizer menu. The portion was a bit on the small side but it was satisfying enough. I was a disappointed by the fact that they didn't have Stella Artois on tap even though the menu said it was. My biggest concern was that the containers holding the various salad topping refils sat next to the salad bar from the moment we sat down until we left. It obviously wasn't chilled since it wasn't placed into the salad bar. read more

Had lunch here while driving through, I have soy allergies and carry my own salad dressing, so I figured this would work well with their salad bar! It did, however I found out almost everything else cooked there is cooked with soybean oil! Since soy is one of the top allergens why do restaurants even use soy? Anyway, the manager went out of his way to ensure my salmon and veggies were cooked in olive oil! The Salmon was delicious, very moist. I would go there again. read more

My wife and I tried to figure out the realms of this post although we both agreed the manager was the problem!!! A new bartender named Paige was doing her best and made certain we were taken care of, Thanks Paige!!! Now part two, my wife had to hold me to the seat as this in mature manager and descimating if character to the great folks just kept badgering and back stabing them after her staff walked away, one exapmle the new hired had questions to make a drink and asked for help from Veronica the manager, manger Veronica didn't even know how to make the drink. Newly hired did her best and explained to guest she was new and guest appreciated. In the mean time manager Veronica ashamed her to the other staff... We ate here last night on our way across the country. I read the reviews and they were mostly mediocre, so I wasn't expecting anything fancy. The service was fine, nothing too bad. We got the spinach dip and the chips were cold and stale, I got the salad bar and it was fine, not much to choose from, but everything was reasonably fresh. My husband got the spicy buffalo chicken Sandwhich and he said it was ok, hard to eat and slapped together. We decided to order desert to try and save the meal. I ordered the double chocolate fudge cake. It tasted old, the cake was stale and bland and spongy and the fruit sauce tastes like corn syrup. All in all I give the place 2 stars.
