Sunday at noonish, we popped into Pal's & boy did it feel familiar with all the nods to Wisconsin! Turns out there's also a location in the Dells, as a side note. The infamous fish fry, the WI pizza, WI cheese & Driftless Glen proudly displayed (& served). It's big, lots of space to gather. The environment is relaxed, comfortable, friendly & the beer we tried was good. We didn't eat, as we already had lunch plans. The Nobs IPA hit all the right hoppy notes, the Pineapple Express was like summer in a glass, the explosive Raspberry-O was a fruity punch of happiness, and the Honey Wheat had that smooth, golden balance that makes you want "just one more." Every single pour was dialed in perfectly. And then came the food... We dove into a Gyro Pizza (yes, you read that right) and a Hawaiian, and both were out of control delicious. Had a wonderful experience at Pals. The Nashville Hot Chicken pizza special was FANTASTIC. Got a large, which really should be split between two people, but was able to enjoy leftovers later. I found Pals on Yelp while driving through NE our way back to AZ. I'm so glad we stopped in. We walked in and the brewery was buzzing. We were able to be seated right away. They have a huge outdoor event space with picnic benches and an outdoor bar as well. We didn't order beer since we were traveling but we did order the Jalapeño Popper thin crust pizza. It was not crispy like you look for in a thin crust pizza but it had a good flavor. We also ordered the chicken chorizo nachos which were different than I expected. They were tasty but not the loaded gooey nachos you expect when you order nachos. I didn't taste any chorizo flavor either. We had several servers check in with us throughout our meal and never waited for service. They were definitely on their game. Great service. Traveling I80 and spending the night in North Platte wanted a quick low key bite. Being a Saturday and Valentine's Day we were willing to settle. No need. Pals had good staffing and ready. Great staff made sure we had everything we wanted and checked in with us as needed. Pro tip-skip the chips and salsa (not good) but do order the rib tips if you don't mind sticky fingers. Pizza looked to be the most ordered, but we were not that hungry. Lager and IPA we had were outstanding. read more

This is our favorite brewery in Nebraska. We enjoyed the rib tips. But every dish coming out of the kitchen looked delicious. The beer was good. I ordered a fruit beer. The patio looked so inviting. Stopped in here last night after a long day of travel. The service was top-notch and very friendly. Hubby and I both tried their craft beers and they were quite good. I had the blueberry hibiscus lager (lovely and light) and hubby has the 3 Palamigos. We shared the veggie pizza and were a bit disappointed. The sauce didn't have much flavor and there was not enough of it. And the crust, which was nice and crisp, was too much for the limited amount of toppings provided. The restaurant was very crowded for a Thursday night which speaks to the popularity with the locals. My brother and I stayed the night utilizing Harvest Host. Had ample parking spots for my 45 foot rig and road. Had early lunch, ordered Chicken nachos. Lots of flavor and tasty. The food was nothing special - average bar food with extra grease- but the cost was extraordinary. $25 for nachos, $17 for a salad that was the size of a small salad but advertised as a large. The service was slow and inattentive. Automatic gratuity of 20% doesn't give the servers much incentive to care that they served you some of your food and left you to find your own silverware. The rest of the food came out 15 minutes later so our party couldn't actually eat together. Hard pass! read more

We love this brewery! Not only does it have an excellent selection of home brews and is always adding new seasonal beers. Their wood fire custom pizza is to die for, along with their fresh Wisconsin baked cheese curds! And to top it off the atmosphere is perfect! We were driving from CA to Iowa with our pups and decided to stop by this brewery by our hotel for a much needed beer and food. This place is a gem and we've been to a lot of breweries in CA. The waitresses were all bustling because it was Bingo night (Monday night) and looked exhausted but all were super friendly and happy which with the heat I was impressed! We got the Nebraskan pizza, baked curds, salad to go and drank our beers while we waited. The food was excellent. The pups loved the back yard area and probably were too excited to stay long but the other customers and staff loved on them which we appreciated! It was a tremendous overall experience, as their combination of space, menu, excellent customer service, and unique outdoor option made it a memorable visit. Thanks to Mary at the North Platte Visitors Center for her recommendation and Mike from the Avid Hotel. They nailed it! Pal's is a brewery and restaurant, and they have figured it out. Lots of parking leads to a great interior and a fabulous outside venue. We chose to sit outside (with our dog) and wandered all around their spacious venue for fun. They have an excellent area that can be rented out and have numerous picnic tables and outdoor games for fun. They provide exceptional customer service and share the tables as a staff, so you get terrific attention and aren't waiting for a single server throughout the night. We are grateful for Molly, who was kind and assured us that our dog would be fine in the outdoor environment. No reservations are accepted. Our house salad was great, and the Chicken Bacon Ranch pizza was amazing! I loved it and ate it cold on the ride the next day! I had a cheeseburger quesadilla and the other two of my party had pizza and we enjoy them. Will definitely be back. We passed through this area a lot and this will be one of my first choices. Up until now hadn't thought of This area as a place on the road that I wanted to stop, but this definitely change that feeling. I am GF so I did the nachos both times. FYI their salsa has corn in it but it's not mentioned on the menu. My husband, mom and dad loved the pretzel and pizzas they tried. Our servers were awesome. Awesome brewery just outside of North Platte that serves up good vibes, great beers and some of the most inventive pizza creations around. I had the Keegan's Special and it was awesome - a great mashup of two of their other pizzas. On the beer front, I've been on an IPA kick and definitely recommend the Paul's Qual. The space is huge and they use their acreage wisely. There's a big lawn for concerts and cornhole boards, a little drinking outpost across the way, and randomly enough, pole-vaulting. And yes, anyone can (and should) sign up to have a run at it. read more

After we received our food, I realized that I had not got what I had ordered. After talking to one of our many servers, the lady adjusted our bill. When we went to check out, the 5th server said he had to check something on our bill. When we received it, everything was back on the bill. Decided to sit outside which is the appeal of this Brewery / Restaurant. Although they have a nice interior, the real appeal to it is the outdoor activities. 9 people cost $330 with TIP. or $37 a person. You know the saying fool me once shame on you, fool me twice shame on me. BEWARE each soda refill costs $3.50 so not free refills.(Sorry I miss quoted price was going from what I thought I could remember) To top it off the Pizza was just ok in my opinion. If your looking for just a meal and spending time with your family there is better pizza else ware. Guess I should have payed closer attention when going to a new restaurant I have never been to. I also noticed that at the bottom of the menu there is a 20% tip automatically applied to open tabs? As for the tip waitress are allowed to be paid $2.13/hour plus gratuities. It is not the servers fault that the food was ok and not like a $30+ Godfathers pizza that I would gladly pay that price for a pizza. Response to owners tip comments. My wife has waited tables so she knows it is not the servers fault for the food unless it comes out cold. I can also tell you we have only paid over a 20% tip 1 time and the service was 5 star from start to finish. Where if you dropped your fork there was a person right there to pick it up and put a new fork down on your table with in seconds.
