We really enjoyed Luigi's! It checked all of the boxes for quality Italian food with both northern and southern Italian dishes and the server was friendly and efficient. The red sauce was tasty (not bland like so many Italian places nowadays) and the mussels were fresh and well prepared, and Fred enjoyed the linguine with white sauce. I enjoyed my Cesar salad and the bread was hot and fresh. Our crew enjoyed our meal and the price/value metric was spot on. I'll give it 4.5 plates!

This restaurant was recommended by our hotel. We had calamari as an appetizer and we enjoyed chicken parm and fettuccine. We enjoyed our dishes and were refueled. There was an issue with their credit card machine, but other than that everything was great!

Found this place by chance. Wow! It did NOT disappoint!. We had a great server (rats, did not get her name.) We were there about 4:00 and ordered the Caesar salad and split the tour of Italy plate. It was fantastic! The salad fresh, the dressing delicious. The main dish had lasagna, chicken Parmesan, and Alfredo fettuccine; the marinara sauce was great, so was the Alfredo sauce. It came with a little loaf of bread too. We also split the cannoli. The cream sauce? Mercy! So rich and yummy! We had a very good and pleasant meal and will definitely plan on visiting it the next time we are driving through the area. Price was fine and all in all, it was a lovely dining experience.

The place was clean and welcoming. The food was delicious I got the Salmon Cremore and Calamari, it came with bread and salad. The bread was airy and light and wasn't too filling. My waitress was awesome, friendly and accommodating

Practically perfect in every way. Amelia and the rest of the staff were attentive, genuinely welcoming, and kept everything running seamlessly from start to finish. Both of us ordered the Prime Rib Dip with fries--and wow. The beef was incredibly tender and flavorful, with not a trace of fat or gristle. The rich, savory au jus added even more depth, and the horseradish sauce brought just the right amount of kick to complement every bite. Even the fries arrived hot, crisp, and satisfying after a full day on the road. Although we visited on a Monday and missed the live piano music, the warm atmosphere, outstanding food, and exceptional service more than made up for it. North 40 Chophouse delivered an experience that was well worth the stop, and we'll gladly return the next time our travels bring us through North Platte.

We both had a prime rib dip and it just melted in your mouth. We ended up sharing an espresso crème brûlée for dessert and it was delicious as well. Service was great and our waitress was very friendly and sweet. If you're in town and looking for a great place to eat, I would highly recommend this.

I stopped in North Platte after driving for most of the day on my way home from Iowa. When I…read morechecked-in at my hotel I asked if there was any place I could get a steak at that hour (I mean, when in Rome?) She was doubtful because of the hour, but checked and Nebraska Rib & Chop House was still open, so I headed right over to get a steak to take out. When I got there the host/hostess was nowhere to be seen, so eventually the bartender came over to take care of me. I knew I wanted a NY strip, but my brain was too tired to make decisions about soup or salad and what kind of side I wanted, so the bartender talked me through it - they had a bison chili as one of their soups that was really good, the scalloped potatoes are one of the most popular sides but the garlic mushrooms with the steak just chef's kiss. So I went with the chili and the mushrooms, steak medium rare. The bartender offered me a glass of water while I waited and I was happy to sit at the bar grooving to the 80's tunes they had playing. My order came up quickly and I was on my way in about 15 minutes. I have to admit that I didn't really think through eating a take out steak with plasticware, but for the most part it was tender enough to work. The steak was closer to rare than medium rare but still delicious, and my pups got a few of the rarer pieces. I would have enjoyed the mushrooms with my steak more if they were sliced, but it still worked. The bison chili was indeed delicious. I'd come here again the next time I'm passing through.

Our…read moreserver, Kayla, was very professional, never let our drinks get empty, and had great recommendations. We got the Brussel Sprouts for an app. They had a delicious sauce and they were cooked to perfection. The French Dip was the real star of the show. The meat was so tender and was probably the best French dip I ever had. The sweet potato fries come with a marshmallow/cinnamon dipping sauce that is very good if you like your sweets. We polished off dinner with the salted caramel lava cake. It was delightful. It was so refreshing to be surprised by how wonderful this restaurant was and how nice the employees were. We were driving across country and decided to pull over in North Platte for the evening. I looked…read morefor a restaurant recommendation and found The Cedar Room. We walked in and there are two large rooms, one dining and one bar/dining area. There is a small bar at the far end that sits around 6 or seven people. We were sat near the window and our server was Penny who was excellent. Penny constantly checked in with us and we were never left wait for service. When it came to ordering wine/cocktails, we were immediately put off by the price of wine. The bottles have an approximate 75% mark up on retail. Way overpriced. You don't see these prices even in the most expensive of steakhouses in my opinion. A glass of wine was the price of a bottle at retail. We elected to go with cocktails. For appetizers, we ordered the Wild Mushroom Brie & Ciabatta. $19 Seared Brie Cheese, brandy glazed belle mushrooms, balsamic reduction, fig chutney; served with Ciabatta toast points. This was good. Cowboy Calamari. $19 Breaded Flat iron sirloin steak bites, fried; served with gravy. I was so looking forward to these but I couldn't even taste the meat.....at all! They were so overly breaded and the steak cut so thin that we felt we were just eating the breading. The gravy was tasty but we couldn't finish the steak bites as we just didn't taste any steak. We split a Cedar Room Wedge. $16 Iceberg, bacon bits, tomatoes, cucumbers, blue cheese crumbles; served with dressing of choice. They split it on two plates and basically did a deconstructed salad. It was fine. After not having a great experience with the food and prices of their wine, we elected to leave and skip the dinner. Although we loved our server Penny and it was a cute establishment, we probably would not return.
