Usually very pleased with food and service. NOT tonight !!! ordered steak , baked potato , soup and a beer. I said I wanted the soup first and not with my meal. soup came and two minutes later my steak, never got my extra butter, waiter did not return until I asked for bill. I questioned why he charged me $ 5.95 for the soup, he said that is what it costs. I stated the menu said $ 1.99 for side or with a steak $1.00. he said you can't get side for that price. I paid the bill and tipped but was upset. I got a menu and I was right. I called him back and showed him and asked for a manager. He came back and said the manger said can't change bill after it was paid just tell him next time come in ! I said no way I want a manager. He came over argued I was wrong but gave me $3.00 in cash! I was really upset because they were wrong and rude AND 5.98 subtract 1.98 is 4.00 !!!! Told him and what about my extra on the tip ! He went in his walllet and gave me 4.00 Can't believe the treatment and attitude. Glad I got my money but boy what an attitude. Had a horrible experiment with the "To Go" portion of Ruby Tuesday. I arrived at the restaurant to pick up my order and waited 10 mins for anyone to help me. While I was waiting I saw a group waiting at the front door for a table, all the while the staff (including the manager) failed to acknowledge either of us. Multiple staff members passed by me and did not offer assistance. Finally the manager saw me and, instead of assisting me, she told me to go to the bar and they'll take care of it. I got my food and returned home to find that the food was lukewarm and not correctly made. I was very disappointed in this service and food Update: 01-21-2020 attempted to give them another shot, this time I dined in. Ordered the Triple Prime Bacon Cheeseburger. First meal brought out was a Triple Prime Burger (no bacon or cheese). Server goes back and gets the cheese and bacon added. I then attempt to eat said burger. I ordered it Medium and got a med rare to rare burger. The server was polite and apologetic, but asked if I wanted the uncooked hunk of meat removed from the order. Service was good. But I don't like eating with dogs. A lady came in with her little dog and it was not a dog that provides assistance of any kind. ..At least it did not have a jacket or any signage on it. The smell of dog is unpleasant in a restaurant. Worst Ruby Tuesday I have ever eaten at. Hopefully I do t get food poisoning from this experience. First of all I want to say the waitress tried really hard to be nice, but I was there to have a good meal not just a nice waitress who seemed to have no say so on making the customer happy or correcting the issues. Ordered a blue Long Island ice tea - waitress brought what seemed to be an unmixed drink because you could see the contents were split, tasted like Minute Maid lemonade with blue food coloring. In fact, it was the first time I had ever received an unmixed blue Long Island because this is a drink that's shaken and poured. Next, I ordered the simplest dish -chicken wings, BIG mistake! My third chicken wing smelled like poop in the middle. I thought it was just me, so I had my husband smell it and he agreed. I called the waitress and she had the manager come talk to us. She offered something else and/or the salad bar, but I was too grossed out so I declined and ate the cheese dip and half stale chips I had ordered. My husbands ribs seemed to be ok, let's see if he doesn't get sick later. The food items which seemed to be ok where not that great either. They took the drink off and the wings off but we still paid 30 dollars plus tip for crappy food. I didn't want to leave tip but the waitress was not at fault. Wish I would have read reviews first. Very, very good meal tonight. Right now they have a special for Valentines Day and that's what we chose. I had the 6oz ribeye and my husband the chicken. Both of us loved our meal as well as the salad bar. We shared a cheesecake for dessert and it was amazing!! Ken was our server and we couldn't have asked for a nicer and better server. We go in for the Tuesday $5 special all the time. This location seems to frown upon using the promotion. Because they always get an attitude when you tell them you want the Tuesday $5 special. They become comatose looking and lose all expression on their faces. I can tell it's because of the promotion, because they look happy and pleasant as they hand you the menu and ask what you want to drink. As soon as you mention the $5 special, they seem to act like they are done with you. It goes downhill from there... I'm thinking it's because the tip is based off the percent of what we pay, and the promotion is only for five bucks? How do they know that we might not pay just the percent? But now we are, because you gave us an attitude! Worst dinner in central Florida yet. Cross contamination to the point they were apologizing to the table behind us while staring wide eyed while we pulled old lettuce and tomato seeds out of the small cup of mayo they brought for our burgers. My burger was raw in the middle and when I sent it back I was talked to as if I didn't know the difference between raw and well done. The new burger was pounded flat and charred to the point that it was hanging out of the bun and dripping with grease. $37 bucks and we had no alcohol! Same old scene. Decent salad bar, burgers, and nasty Chinese grown Tilapia fish. Years ago you could get Catfish at Ruby Tuesday. Sadly because of the extremely high profit margin on trashfish (Tilapia) the only other fish here is Salmon. We did enjoy some appetizers here, and the bar here is always good. I'd actually never been to a Ruby Tuesday before I stepped into this location, just outside The Villages, in Florida. My cousin recently got a job working for this store and so, while we were out driving around visiting family, my mom and sister and I decided to stop in and show our support! I have to say, during our stay in Florida (in two different locations) I was pretty disappointed with the food overall. We'd eaten at a couple of 'nice' restaurants with other family members that we were visiting, and generally the food was mediocre. BUT, I'm happy to say that our meal at Ruby Tuesday was probably the best one we had while we were in Florida! I know my cousin has worked with the managers and other staff there to help set a new standard of quality and customer service, and they are really doing a great job! Everyone we spoke with at the restaurant was incredibly kind and helpful! I had one of the chicken dishes, I think it was called Chicken Bella, or something like that. It had sauteed mushrooms and diced artichokes and it was AMAZING! You know, generally in these types of chains, you get a pre-soaked chicken breast that ends up being more rubber than meat. But the chicken breast I had for lunch was a respectable size, looked hand cut, and I could see the grain of the meat when I cut into it--just like real meat that you cook at home :) And the salad bar! Those veggies are fresh! I saw quite a few salad bars while I was down south (in GA, NC and FL) and let me tell you, most of them looked pretty brown and sad! This was the best veggie spread (and the freshest by far!) that I saw during my trip. In general, I don't really put much stock in these types of chain restaurants, but this particular location was a pleasant surprise! If I didn't live all the way across the country in Los Angeles, I would certainly eat there again! I really want this place to be good, but damn, do they need some work. I come into Inverness every once in awhile to visit my family and I stay down the road at the local hotel. So I pop in for a drink or a quick meal here/there -- and just about every time it's highly disappointing. My complaints are numerous based on previous visits, but I'll stick to the issues of the day. The water tastes horrid, like sewage. The salad bar was completely depleted and only restocked just as a finished my meal. I requested biscuits 3 different times, finally they arrived as I had already finished dinner.. the bar tender said multiple times "it's not my fault" -- like that matters? The response should be "I'm sorry our team has failed you" -- not a denial of responsibility! At one point I heard someone say 'we're so busy' when the place was hardly 1/3 full.. a good manager should know how to properly staff. This place needs a good kick in the butt. It has a lot of potential and is in a great location, but step it up. It'll be a long time before I go back, if ever. Enter at your own risk. read more

Worst meal ever. They no longer even serve the cheese biscuits with your meal. Actually they don't have any bread at all. I ordered the Peach Tea chicken. I don't recall the menu calling it "Cajun" or "blackened" but it was. It had a very strong pepper taste that burned my mouth. I only tried 2 bites and couldn't eat any more. The salad bar was wiped out. They usually have lots to choose from but tonight they were out of almost everything. We complained to our waitress and she sent the manager over who ended up not charging us for anything. That was nice but we'd rather have had a good meal. What a disappointment. French fries dry and hard, even after replaced. I wonder if they're using an air fryer. Fried chicken breast sandwich was way over cooked. Crust almost black, chicken dried out. Bun was saturated with oil on bottom. Apparently they didn't drain the chicken and placed straight from fryer on bun. Salad bar was sloppy with most items low. So disappointing. I can't stress enough about how accurate the other reviews have been with the disappointments. We had reservations at 530 and sat almost immediately.... yet we didn't leave for 2 hours. 1) We had to ask for the biscuits about an hour after waiting for our food... she had some excuse.. 2) It took 15 minutes and I had to ask 2x for my drink 3) Waitress asked how things were about every 30 minutes... duh - bad we didn't have anything 4) An hour and a half later when the food came out, it didn't even have what we ordered on it. I was missing 1/2 of what should have been on the fish tacos. My son didn't even have cheese on his cheese hamburger. Veggies were all cold! 5) 2 other tables around us have just about the same problems The best was another table - the waiter came to them and ask if they wanted desert. We are Keys evacuees and up here very much fish out of water. We did lunch one day at the Olive Garden next door, we were kind of disappointed. we took a day out of the misery and went to Orlando for some r and r and when we came back we were exhausted and very hungry. We stopped here, The staff are so kind, and accommodating! The food was good, not fantastic, bit good and that was good enough! One of my companions got the salad bar and she loved it. I got the brocolli soup, and it was good enough, not terrific, but good enough, one of the others got a burger, and it was really good. I was in this restaurant the other day to pick up a to go order. The girl behind the bar who handles the to go orders has her mask under her nose. This does absolutely no good. I mentioned it to her and she was just snippy and said she was busy. She never made an effort to raise it up. The same was true for most of the wait staff. As soon as they left a table down came the masks. One server was on break not eating at the bar without a mask. I was purchasing at least once a week to help the staff but no more. I was also appalled that the salad bar was open. As I was watching people are going up to get food but leaning under the plastic shield. Ugh! Came in this Ruby Tuesday this past weekend on Saturday for a buy one get one on takeout coupon. The food was fantastic for such a good price, but I really have to put the 5 stars for the bartenders there that night, boy and girl, excellent service from both of them, I ended up having to wait a couple minutes for my food and the boy asked if I needed a drink while the girl cashed me out and bagged my food. So, they have this new menu and salad bar with all kinds of stuff; unfortunately, none of it was anything I liked. I prefer shredded carrots, celery, raw veggies, and all the crunchy stuff at the end. They put more fancy stuff, and I didn't like any of it. They also upped the price. $10 is too much to pay for a salad bar, and being that I'm a vegetarian, there isn't ANYTHING on the menu for a vegetarian (the new menu is very convoluted). I used to get a veg trio for around $7, then you'd add $2.99 for the salad bar. But, now the price has gone up on all of that. And, everything on the menu is an add-on: Like, you would get this or that, then add $2 or $3 and get this. Doesn't make sense - put a price and be done with it. I kept hearing the server say to every table, "well you can add this or than for an additional $3". By the time you put all the add-ons (which SHOULD be included in a meal price), your bill would be $30,000. That's WAY too much for this chain. I understand a restaurant's need to upgrade and evolve, but, why change one of the best salad bars?? My love affair with Ruby Tuesday is over. I used to just go for the salad bar, but with all that new stuff I didn't like, I ended up with lettuce, and a couple other things, and I paid MORE for it - naaaw. No thanks. I went into this Ruby Tuesday around 4:30 today with my husband and father-in-law. We ordered our food: 2 of their new slider plates and a teriyaki chicken dinner. A full 30 minutes later the waiter brings out the slider dishes ( one burger, one chicken- which ch by the way looked like small tenders cut in half and placed on bun, I wouldn't recommend the chicken, they looked nothing like the pictures on the menu) my chicken dinner was forgotten. I told waiter to forget about cooking it now, as the guys had their dinner already. He offered to take it off the bill. Raises the question: if it was on the order, how was it forgotten? Yes, remove it, I'm not paying for an order I didn't receive. Waiter stated the manager would be coming by.....10 minutes later, still no manager, but then what was he gonna do? Offer me a gift certificate for a future meal.....not happening. I do not recommend stopping here to eat, service has been slow each time we've tried to have a meal there. The Inverness location is so filthy. It needs a major cleaning. Light fixtures are covered in one inch of dust. The wooden window blinds all have food caked on them. The booth seats are caked with food. The carpet is moldy and disgusting. The shelves and ledges were equally covered in dust. Some of the windows are so dirty you cannot see outside. The salt and pepper shaker was so sticky I had to get a wet towel from the restroom to clean them. The menus were equally sticky and disgusting. I wanted to shower when I left. The food was good. I just kept wondering how dirty is the kitchen if the front is like this. Last time I will eat there! read more

From the moment we walked in there was no host/hostess at the front. We had to see ourselves to the bar, and we were ignored by the bartender for two minutes while she talked to coworkers who were off work and seated at the bar. When we got to the car to check our to go order we saw that the spring rolls were not what we saw or ordered from the menu online. Then I went inside to check with the waitress when I was informed that they no longer carried those spring rolls. At this point I was so annoyed I got in the car and left. My fiance and I were halfway home when we realized that none of our meals received the dipping sauces, including the big dipper. Steak flavor was good, but not cooked as ordered (ordered med-rare, came out well done). I didn't send it back, the wait had already been long enough.
