I was pleasantly surprised by this place! After a 5 hour drive from Chicago through an electrical storm, I was cranky and craving sashimi. We opted for convenience and ended up at Ruby Tuesday, which was my first time since I'm skeptical about chains. For 11 pm on a Friday, their salad bar was fresh and abundant, so I opted for the soup and salad combo, which was solid. I love salad bars and RT's is the only chain I've seen with one. My white chili was also very tasty. My guy got the steak and lobster mac. He said the steak was so-so, but his lobster mac actually had chunks of lobstery goodness in it. Their $5 drink menu is good too - my watermelon mojito was tasty (fresh sugarcane!), although it could have been a bit stronger. I don't believe that I'd ever been to Ruby Tuesday's before coming to this location. I doubt I'll go to another. As a vegetarian, it's always a struggle finding food to eat at chair restaurants, but I thought I'd give this place a the anyway. The salad bar blew me away, and gave me high hopes for the menu as he waiter seated us. Once we got the menu, however, it was a different story. We'd asked the waiter if there were vegetarian options before we left, so I expected an entree or two, but there were none. After staring at the menu for a while, we managed to scrounge up a meal of appetizers and sides. The macaroni and cheese was delicious, and of course our salad bar salads were great, but everything else was mediocre. I found my appetizer (that I can't recall the name of; it looked like a quesadilla) greasy and the veggies less than flavorful. Everything was just okay, save for the service. Our waiter was attentive, which was likely due to us being the only ones in the restaurant one hour before closing time. Just due to the lack of options for my diet, I don't think I'll come back, but the salad bar and service were great! read more

I like this place great happy hour specials! Friendly staff and good food. I usually go for the happy hour specials they make a pretty mean Long Island and $5.00 appetizers the crab cake is good but I love the shrimp fondue it is to die for! The steaks are good cooked to liking and I also like the chicken bella a healthy but yummy choice! There is also a fresh salad bar you can add to your meal. Food: 2/5 the foods are below average. It's very typical for chain restaurant. It's pretty sad. I ordered chicken fresco. The chicken breast is on the dry side. The sauce that came with it is a little too salty. Fries are okay. Their salad bar is decent for what it is. I guess if you want to stuff yourself with food from the salad bar, it is not bad at all. The presentation of the foods were amateur. Service: 5/5 I must say their service was quite impressive. We were greeted by one of the hosts there. Our server was friendly, patient and efficient. Our sodas were refilled every time they were near empty. Our orders came at the proper time. When the steak that our son ordered wasn't cooked to his request, the server apologized and took it back without question. The kitchen manager (I assume) came out and apologized. They gave us free dessert (we didn't even ask for it). Thank you so much for a great service. Decor/Ambiance: 2/5 - it is pretty outdated looking. I think it's time for renovation and remodelling. Lighten up the dining room. Get rid of the carpet. Get rid of the faux leather booth and chairs. Get rid of the dark paint colors. Join the 21st century. The music that they play were also weird - very random and ...just weird. Overall Experience: 3/5 ... it was meh. If it wasn't because of the service we got, I wouldn't be back here. This is generally an ok place as far as chain restaurants go. You'll find the usual "American bistro" chain fair (burgers, steaks, fish, pasta, chicken, etc) with maybe an eensy weensy touch more class and quality. A step up from the Applebees/Chili's/Friday's/etc ilk. Upsides: Great salad bar w/ fresh ingredients and a fairly wide selection. Good veggie sides. Decent selection of main dishes, although they tend to be fairly typical chain offerings. The mini burgers are good as are the fish dishes I've tried and the Memphis rub ribs. The place is always clean, and the white tablecloths and leather seats give it a bit of upscale appearance (although wrapping the silverware with paper napkins spoils the effect). Downsides My steak was poorly cooked (asked for med rare as all good steaks should be and it came out very rare) and wasn't great quality (had a big piece of gristle running down the middle). Servers can be pokey at times. A neighboring server spilled a tray of drinks next to me - an unfortunate but soggy accident. Can't sub the salad bar for one of the sides that come with your dish - bar is $2.99 extra. If you're in the mood for "nice" chain restaurant food then you should consider Ruby Tuesday's. It won't set your world on fire but it's thoroughly decent. read more

Myself and my son decided on a late dinner and went to this location as it is close to the house, we arrived and went to the bar, our server/bar tender was very attentive. We arrived at around 8:50 pm or so got our drinks and ordered our food. 20 minutes pass....... no food, 30 minutes pass ....... no food but the bar tender tells us that our food should be up shortly. Well 35-40 minutes later still no food and another lady comes behind us and offers us the salad bar or soup, we decline and inform her we've already been waiting and just want to leave with the bill for our drinks. Then the lady states, should be up in 2 minutes and the entree's will be taken off our bill. I state you can pack it to go but still within 5 minutes she brings only the steak, potatoes and my zuccini without the fish and shrimp. Totally disappointed in the kitchen staff because mind you the time waited would of been ok IF the place was full but it was not, there was maybe 15-20 people at the most in there and we still couldn't get served in a timely manner!!! Totally unacceptable, we WON'T be back!! We went to another establishment and was served and ate within 30 min tops. read more

If you consistently like to be let down through an entire meal give this place a try. Salad bar was sloppy and included a side of hair. Food came out at different times with incorrect temps. Make sure you conserve your beverage as well as it will not be refilled unless you ask. Operations manager tried to keep it hushed and offered nothing for our inconvenience or a meaningful apology, but instead questioned us on what the hair looked like. Absolutely the worst dining experience I have ever had. Took 15 min to order drinks,bar drinks took another 20 and were wrong twice.The hostess nor the waitress brought us menus or silverware;we had to find the menus at the greeters station.finally after 40 min they took our order.Other party got multiple drinks and one couple arrived after we did ate and left.After.90 minutes we finally asked where's our food,was told another 7 to 10 min.They brought out the food but we had no silverware to eat it with.When we mentioned no coffee refills the waitress said very sarcastically she'd get it when she was done serving the food, then raised her voice and said don't get in my face totally embarrassing my party . Finally someone said you don't talk to customers like that.The waitress then left a manager completed serving the food.Not once did anyone apologize for the long delays or say they were sorry even after the waitresses outrageous behavior. We sat at the bar. The bartender seem to be overloaded. We ask for menus but it took a good 10min to ask if we wanted to order. Duh that's why I asked for a menu. We ordered fish tacos with salad bar and buffalo chicken sandwiches with salad bar. The salad bar was good. Although I had to ask for a fork to eatthat was a bit annoying. Considering it wasn't even the bartender who I asked. Why? Oh she was no where around. But EVERYTHING ELSE WAS COLD! The top of my bun was missing from the sandwich. I had to ask for a top bun. It took 15 minutes to have a waitress come over to take my granddaughters and mine order. The restaurant was not busy at all . The table next to us complain of sour Cole slow. The table behind us complain of the fowl tasting shrimp. They had NO LEMONS for my Long Island Ice Tea nor for our ice waters. I mean there is literally a Kroger's behind the restaurant. I usually go to the Westland location, but it's no longer open. I work in Canton and do much of my shopping there as well. I placed an online order this evening. Although I placed it 90 minutes in advance, it wasn't ready when I arrived. That's not even my issue. As I waited for my food, staff member after staff member, including management" walked by without as much as a "hello." The young lady that took my payment was pleasant; however, the lack of recognition overshadowed my visit. Since there's no seating in the to-go area, I was clearly visible. I don't think I will return to this location. I enjoy the blackened tilapia and am sure that I can find it elsewhere. Aside from friendlier staff, I recommend having seating in the to-go area or have signage directing patrons to the bar area. It's inconvenient, but it's an option. read more

In general, Ruby Tuesday is a reliable decent meal. I got the Nashville Heat summer platter which included ribs, chicken tenders, and coleslaw. The ribs were very good and our waitress was very attentive and polite. The chicken tenders were very small, but tasted fine. The coleslaw, however, was perhaps the worst coleslaw I've ever eaten. Not sure if something was wrong with it, but it was horrendous and near inedible. Overall though, it was a decent dining experience and it probably would have been 4 stars had the coleslaw been edible. read more

I came in on a Sunday after church with a group of 8. Upon arriving we waited about 5 minutes to be seated, and was placed kind of in the middle of the restaurant, which made it difficulty for other guest to maneuver around the restaurant. The server we had was very efficient and quick. She took our orders, suggested various menu items and then we were off to the salad bar. I must say that the salad bar has improved since my last time inside Ruby Tuesday, but the improvement, isn't as described by their television ads. The lettuce was nice a crisp, the topping looked fresh and replenished. It was a nice salad bar, but not a stand alone item/ meal. When our food arrived at the table, it was hot. However, I had to send my meal back because the waiter put my dinner order in while I was at the salad bar, so during the middle of my salad my food came. Which, caused the food to sit until I was done with my salad. For my meal I had the ribs and shrimp dinner. The shrimp was okay and the ribs were dry. First time.. Last time.. Ordered a lemonade which was very watery. When asked, the server started explaining that you ordered a light lemonade. Like I have never had lemonade before. Also the margarita I ordered was very light as compared to other restaurants. They took around 15-20 mins to bring food even though there were very few people eating inside. After serving fries, there was no ketchup or any other sauce on the table and the server didn't ask for anything. After asking for ketchup, she just went to other table and bought that. There have been times when I have been here without incident, and the food and service has been, you know, whatever: fine. But then recently we went in and had an odd experience. The place was almost empty, yet there was a family waiting to be seated. I approached the greeter, who seemed to be day-dreaming until I sort of waved at her, and then she said, "Oh. Um. Can you wait for like two minutes?" We sat down to wait. No one seated the waiting family. No one seated us. Another group came in and were asked to wait. Everyone waited. There seemed to be waitresses around and there was a whole restaurant full of empty tables. Eventually, we just left. I don't know what the deal was or whether it's a common occurrence or a one-time deal. I just wish someone could have just seated us, maybe brought us a beverage, and THEN let us wait! read more

Trigame la quenta por favor...es no muy bien! So, me and my buddy JJ went to this Ruby Tuesday's to grab something to eat yesterday...well, one of us left hungry. Strike 1...I ordered up a Ribeye and JJ decided on the "Premium Aged Prime Sirloin." Both included the salad bar, so I go up there and lo and behold...wtf is on this plate? As this is a family show, I'll just say the plate wasn't clean, neither were the next 4-8 I checked. Some gals across from us were up there too and one started raging on the hostess as she clearly heard me, JJ, and both gals ahead of us discussing the dirty dishes and didn't say one word. Strike 2...I had water and JJ got his diet coke...well, problem was it wasn't diet. No problem unless you're diabetic and JJ is. Someone got the hoses to drinks mixed up. Strike 3...We get our steaks and both were ordered medium. Mine is ok, but JJ's was still cold in the center and something else, so he asks the waitress to take it back. Even she says the day cooks are better than the night ones. The manager returns with the same plate a few minutes later, same plate (potatoes and broccoli are cold by now) and same steak whicht didn't look any more appetizing. The manager apologizes for the shoddy kitchen work, but to no avail...just bring us the bill so we can get out of here. The manager was nice enough to cancel it, but needs to shore up his operation. After a quick estimate of the bill a tip is left for the waitress since she is only the messenger. You're OUT! Needless to say I will not be returning to eat here. read more

I stopped at this location on a busy Saturday afternoon for an easy lunch with my kids. The restaurant was basically empty and the over zealous manager popped up from looking at his phone in a back booth to greet us and tell us the hostess would seat us. Our server was friendly and attentive, but a few minutes into our seating they placed a new table right behind us. This new table drew a lot of attention from the manager who soon pulled up a chair and continued to be obnoxious. He was very tall so his chair was like 4ft from their table and he was talking so loudly, seeming very entertained by his banter. Which was not always positive of the restaurant. Our whole table was quiet because of how uncomfortable he made us, impressive given I had a toddler and a teenager. The food was mediocre and the server was friendly and efficient. The manager needs to realize he is making a lot of people uncomfortable and needs to let his employees do their job. read more

Decided to write this review as I recently went back over a long break from this location. I had a bad experience prior to this last visit, it was maybe 4 months ago and we had a long wait for everything and had to ask twice for a darn bottle of ketchup. Didn't get any biscuits and the waiter instead of asking if we wanted some or just bringing them asked us how the biscuits were and assumed we had already ate them, I was frustrated and disappointed by the lack of attention we got from this waiter. So with that said we went back this weekend and were pleasantly surprised. Yes the prices seem to have mysteriously gone up but our waiter was friendly and pleasant. The wait wasn't bad at all and the salad bar was delicious as always, our food was tasty and very fresh! I'm impressed and glad that my bad experience was probably just a fluke, very pleased and will be back!! Also I love that there are healthier options and decent portions!! read more

Amazing Pub style Prime Burgers; and good chedder. Crispy salty fries are really great. And if you have a friend who will not go to a place UNLESS it has a salad bar. then this is the place. Really good salad bar with good selection of greens, toppings, and dressings. Salad bar buffet is $3 over your main meal. (has a different price for those getting only ya salad). Their Mac n Cheese is really good. I used to think Boston Markets mac N cheese was the best. Ruby Tuesday ties with it (because they are different styles). I tried their recent Chef's cut steak, and medium-rare this place is on par to a steak-house! I don't have an opinion about the other steaks. Yep...all of the previous reviews are spot-on... Food is generally good, but the lackluster service makes the experience less than optimal. We have experienced the EXACT SAME results in Saline...so it would seem to be a corporate-wide issue...not just the Canton location. All being said, it is still one of our "regular visit" restaurants (due to the good food and frequent discount coupons). read more

The carpet makes the place smell like urine/vomit that never really got cleaned out. Tear out the carpet already. In 2015 its not trendy (nor sanitary) to have carpet. The service was fine. The salad bar, what they claim they're known for, was very cold but had limited selection. It only had spring mix or iceberg lettuce choice. Why not spinich? Also, no cottage cheese, a healthy alternative to salad dressing. Also, the bar itself, was so deep that it made it hard for normal sized people to reach the back row of salad toppings due to the sneeze guard. A minor inconvenience. The dishes at the salad bar were dirty and wet, I had to go through ten dishes to find a dry and clean one. I did tell my server and when I went back the dishes were better. Main dish of grilled salmon filet still had the grey layer on the bottom, which made the fish taste bitter. read more
