Guys...I think we found a new favorite restaurant! We were in town for the Northvillle Halloween celebration and quick stopped here for some dinner. It was AMAZING! We both ordered their New York Strip entree and got two sides with the meals. We never really think to get steak at places that aren't specifically steakhouses, but we were so glad we did here! The flavor was amazing and we both agreed they were cooked exactly how we wanted them. We also had the mac n cheese, fries, asparagus, and caesar salad for sides. The portion sizes were huge and super tasty! I would love to go back and get an entire entree of mac n cheese. We also LOVED the zip sauce that came on the side of the steak and were happy to find out that it didn't have egg so Aidan could have it! I was so impressed with the staff, the cleanliness, and the vibes of the overall restaurant. It is decorated super cute with a little shack and a fun marine theme. Even the bathroom sinks are canoes! We had an awesome server who was very attentive and sweet. Parking is very easy and it wasn't busy at all when we went. There are TV's all over to watch games as well if you go on a gameday! We ate here while on vacation in the Detroit Area. I had the pulled pork sandwich platter. The potato fries were excellent and would definitely return for those. Bought a new car salesman gives us a free appetizer card so I enjoyed the wings deep fried naked so I did Buffalo and lemon pepper they were very good slightly overcooked but were definitely very good. We also shared the ham bacon pineapple deep dish was the best one I have had anywhere. The decor is smartly decorated and live band on Friday and Saturday night. We were there Saturday night great band with covers but also nice they were not blaring the sound very middle of the road we will be back to try other menu items. I was super sad when Rusted Crow downtown disappeared because it was nice having another distillery downtown, but I was out this way to meet some high school friends and we decided this would be the spot to meet. I'm not super familiar with Belleville but this was an absolutely area of town, and like the name suggests near a lake. They did a great job melding their steampunk/Victorian aesthetics with the local boating culture. Just absolutely quaint. The location itself is a full service restaurant along with distillery, the nice bonus is that they 8 taps with beers plus they carry other liquors. Came for lunch with my husband and my parents. They offer portabella or black bean patty at no charge for the non meat eaters, so I thought I'd be set. The waitstaff was all dressed like Rosie the riveter in blue jean tops and red polka dot headbands. Huge murals with lots of random metal stuff. Cool, I guess. They call themselves "on the lake" but it's really more like "across the street from the lake". The meat eaters all enjoyed their burgers, two people got side salads and I wish I had. I subbed a portabella on a mushroom and Swiss and asked for no Swiss... it came out and was just portabella on a bun, chopped up. No onion or mushrooms that came on the regular mushroom and Swiss. Boring as heck and my fries were hella salty. If you're looking to eat and drink and don't need any modifications, this place is probably decent... but also half our table's orders came out a full ten minutes before the other half. So. It feels like it's been a minute since a restaurant has earned a 5 star review from me! Rusted Crow on the Lake was excellent! Service was a little slow, but we didn't care. We were not in a hurry and we were not at all rushed to get in and out like so many places. It's clean and roomy inside. I loved the nod to Rosie the Riveter on the plane in the bar, too. I had the PBJ burger - that's right, PBJ! Get this, it even had Brussels Sprouts ON the burger! I don't know what genius came up with this burger, but I tip my hat and raise a glass to them! This burger was fabulous! The burger itself was cooked to a perfect medium (I usually get med rare, but ordered medium just due to the nature of everything in the burger, I didn't want the added juiciness from med rare to ruin it.). It comes with Brussels Sprouts, peanut butter vinaigrette, Brie cheese, and fig jam - sounds weird, but it magically comes together and is a delectable party in the mouth. The only bad thing about this is that no other burger will ever taste as good! The fries are sliced thin and served crispy on the outside with a soft center (they even have malted vinegar on the table!) The Mac n cheese was pretty tasty - it's a nice blend of cheeses, perfectly cooked pasta, with bacon crumbles. The side of Brussels Sprouts, as quoted from a dining companion, "OMG! These are TO DIE FOR!" Another dining companion provided this review of the buffalo wings: Yum! Good sized, tasty sauce. Definitely an "I'd order these again meal!" The burger was large and really good, except for the bun. It was hard and flaky, like it wasn't fresh. I ended up discarding it. The fries were well prepared, and would have been tasty, but they were cold when I got them. The Mac n cheese looked good, creamy, with a nice sprinkling of breading. I mean, I love nacho cheese, but if they have queso as an option why get nacho cheese. They were really good with really hearty tortilla chips. I would definitely go for less onions. First time at the Rusted Crow...came in for lunch and loved the decor inside. Our server was amazing! I had the pulled pork sandwich with fries. I'm going to admit it was possibly one of the BEST pulled pork sandwiches I have ever had. Bold statement considering I've lived in the south for half my life. The fries were pleasantly different...like little round pillow fries that were very well seasoned. My coworkers had the Cuban and the Crowdip sandwiches. They said they were both awesome! It was not bad here. It has potential. We dined in on a weekend. It was bustling. The waitstaff seems distracted and borderline uninterested. Like I get busy, but not when you spend most of your time talking to each other or one particular table to the exclusion of all others. That's not I'm hustling to take care of everyone, that's just poor service. This would bother me less if all my food was hot when I got it. It was not. The cheese curds were and were pretty good. My entree salad was tasty with very good dressing but temp was not really a factor there. The fish and chips my husband ordered, on the other hand, yikes. I know, I know send it back. Easier when you can get a waitresses attention. Also, my husband just hates to cause a fuss ever. Hot, though, it would probably be fine. Overall, it seemed at least ok. Service may just be a one-off type thing. We skipped to go for the oldsters and went elsewhere for that. We will give it a second chance somewhere down the line though. read more

First time to try this place. After coming from tulip Festival in Belleville last week, we're so hungry. We're looking for a place to eat and the staff from Debuck Farm has recommeded this Restaurant so we end up eating there. All I can say was is that the place was so impressive! Their foods are fantastic and our Service was Great! Our server, is Victoria! She took her time to explain to us each Menu and gave us suggestions of the foods they served. We ordered Eastern Market Pizza to share among us. We're 7 of us! It was so good you can tell the freshness of their ingredients and then majority of us ordered Fish and chips. Again the freshness of the fish was so tasteful! Then when it comes paying, Victoria took her time in computing our bills equally, since we're paying individually but we have to share to pay for our Pizza. She has some corrections made since there's few order was mixed with others but it was fixed properly. We understand this can happened plus she told us ahead she just started working there but in spite of that she did a good job! Kudos to you Victoria! We're planning to come back again as everyone in our group agreed of the great service and delicious foods we had! I'm greatly recommending this place! I used the restroom before eating and BOTH soap dispensers were DRY. When I mean like not even a LITTLE was coming out. So they did not just run out of soap. And both canisters were completely empty. The place opened at 11am and entered at 3:30pm (ish). There were 3 women working there, one that I saw enter the bathroom and return to the back. Upon entering the Rusted Crow, one might be charmed by its rustic décor and quaint ambiance--a place where the promise of hearty fare and a serene view could soothe the soul. Alas, our afternoon at the dirty little birdie took a dramatic and hairy turn that we won't soon forget. We eagerly placed our order, simply hoping to indulge in one of life's great pleasures: a deep-dish pizza. Visions of the Chicken Pesto with Bell Peppers danced in our heads as we waited for its arrival. What we did not envision, however, was our pie being garnished with the chef's finest follicles. Imagine our collective astonishment when, upon slicing into this much-anticipated masterpiece, we discovered not one, but two hairs baked into the very crust of our first pieces. The kitchen was 0-2, just like the Houston Astros against the Detroit Tigers in the American League Wild Card Series. After graciously listening to our humble complaint, our server verified it wasn't merely a strand of cheese; in doing so, she was quite literally able to lift the slice off the plate by pulling on the strand of hair. As someone nearing the inevitable onset of male pattern baldness, I'd like to know which biotin supplements the cook was taking to produce such deep roots. Lauren, bless her heart, handled the matter with the utmost patience and professionalism, a shining beacon in an otherwise dim experience. However, the kitchen manager--whom I can only assume moonlights as a burglar, given their apparent fondness for robbing people--decided we should bear half the financial burden of this follicular fiasco. We were stunned, nay, stupefied, by the audacity of this demand. Pay half the cost of a pizza we barely touched, and only after embarking on an impromptu forensic analysis of its uninvited garnishes? Surely, this must be some form of culinary performance art. Fearful of receiving yet another hair-raising entrée, we declined the offer of a replacement pizza, though not before briefly considering requesting a lint roller with which to inspect it. The decision to charge us for food we didn't eat was, at best, a puzzling interpretation of hospitality. The kitchen's laissez-faire attitude toward basic hygiene left us scratching our heads--both metaphorically and, after that pizza, literally. We left with a bittersweet taste in our mouths, eerily reminiscent of Head & Shoulders. Stars: Two out of Five--one for the server and one for the memories. TL;DR: We received food with the cook's hair in it, and they still made us pay for it. We're disgusted by the experience and won't return. read more

I went here looking to grab a bite. It is a place I have seen recently. It Is a new spot for 2023. I decided to check it out. It is located on a corner in a newly built plaza. There is plenty of parking. I imagine that it will get full quickly once it becomes more popular. We were seated quickly. The place has a rustic feel with boat motors hanging on the wall. The menus were pretty basic and small and were considered tht "Opening" menu. There were some appetizers, a few burgers and sandwiches,, entries and a nice drink list. I decided in the steak sandwich with dip. I ordered onion rings with it. I was first presented with 2 onion rings but they said they were making more. It was a little slower than I thought and the folk that were delivering orders were discombobulated. They were not sure whose were what. New place jitters. There may be a need for table numbering. Overall the sandwich was good and the onion rings were also good. The wait staff was friendly too. I would have this as an option to check out in the future. I heard about this place from a few others so I thought I'd give it a try! The ambience inside was awesome, I really loved the artwork on the walls and there's a few awesome stuff to look at in the restaurant like the airplane hanging from the ceiling over the bar area and the engines all placed along the wall on the ceiling. The cheese curds were probably my favorite to eat, it was perfectly breaded and bursting with flavor and the cheese was oozing out as they should be! I also tried the Philly cheese steak pizza and I couldn't finish it so I took it home for later.
