I don't really like to give these types of reviews...but as a yelp elite member I want to ensure that all my reviews are genuine and hopefully help others that are thinking about eating here. Well to start there was a long piece of hair in my meal and that ruined my appetite. The woman employee was really nice and gave me free samples to try while ordering so I tried to at least eat the other areas. The food was very dry and not that tender. There are many other options that I would rather suggest in the food court. I just didn't feel too good eating after seeing the hair and the next day too my stomach was rumbling. I suggest for them to wear hair nets and make sure to keep fresh servings out. I think the food was sitting there for a long time. read more

I recently bought this in the mall. They were handing out samples and I so happened to try the Thai BBQ chicken. I asked them for a number one combo, so I could get just rice and the thai chicken. They had heavy accents so I was unable to understand what they were saying fully. However, somehow, my number one combo turned into a number 3 combo. They had added multiple food items into my tray that I didn't ask for. After correcting it, I sat down to eat my meal. The rice was a little greasy and the thai chicken was ok. It didn't taste like chicken to me really. I recommend you eat something better. read more

Sometimes you gotta come to the mall for bootleg Pho. The soup it self has some flavor, once you add the extra seasoning, and accoutrement ... The chicken wonton itself was flavorless. Ruby, among another dozen food venders, are competing everyday since the first day they decided to open in the same food court in this mall. The first thing you will notice is actually the food vendor on the left, whose backgrounds post is older than your age. The second thing you will notice is this crazy, super active guy who want you to sample Ruby food in a small portion. He is the most aggressive salesman I have ever encountered in my life, kind in a good way. Unlike the poor lady from the left who try to do the same thing, he will always creatively won the sampler competition and brutally beat his components. Today, he even didn't step out of counter and successfully grabbed four customers in two minutes. Poor girl on the left almost cried. I was so impressed I let him introduce mango chicken and teriyaki chicken to me. Wait, is this a Thai food place or the owner's name is Jason Thai? I am confused because there is nothing Thai here...Anyhow, the $7.99 two item lunch is in big portion and I am very filled. For the flavor, it is typical American style Asian dish. Every single time I come- every associate gives me a diff portion of food.. and when I ask - they start yelling At me..today I got the nastiest associate handling my food and service... what didn't help is nobody speaks English so I couldn't explain what I referring to. rude service . Terrible.. I also saw bugs flying inside of the case. Don't eat here ! also- no Covid precautions are being taken.. I watched the owner eating right by the food with no mask.. watched another employee pick at their teeth and then proceeded to ring someone and hand them their food. i use to eat here every day on my lunch.. I am actually a huge fan of this place. 1) I love spicy food, and their special chili hot sauce is amazing. I pour a lot on my food to make it extra spicy. 2) They give you meat options and rice/noodle options. 3) The price is very reasonable. 4) For Asian mall food, this place is fantastic. Well well well, I can say that I was pleasantly surprised by mall food. Who knew? What's special about Ruby Thai? For one thing, nutrition information is available online, which makes me a lot more comfortable about eating glorified cafeteria food. And it's not *that* bad, calorie-wise. The times I've eaten here, I've stuck with the Thai BBQ Chicken, rice, and a side of veggies. I actually prefer the white rice to the fried -- for some reason, the fried rice didn't taste like what I thought it would? But the chicken is better than average, and you don't feel terrible afterward. Other than that, I don't think there's much else to say. I think Ruby Thai is the better choice of the Willowbrook food court options (if you're not in the mood for good ol' TBell). read more

This place Thai eatery is located in the food court of WillowBrook Mall. I usually like Thai cuisine but they don't really cook Thai style in their dishes. Its more like Chinese take out. These dishes are often found in other Chinese fast food places. I like the pad Thai Noddles but their noddles taste like sauteed lomein noodles. They also have wonton noddle soup but it also taste like the regular wonton filling found at a typical Chinese Fast Food take out. They give you samples for you to try before you buy. Overall, if you want authentic Thai food this not the place. Its just a alternative to other Chinese take out. read more

Hello, I typically never feel the need to complain about food or service but this experience has caused me to write you this email. My fiance and myself stopped by Ruby Thai Willowbrook Mall location tonight. The food taste quite good until I noticed an extremely long curly black hair on my plate. That made me lose my appetite immediately. I notified the cashier of the the restaurant who then had a manager come over, then proceed to take a phone call for 5-10 minutes before returning. He kept saying he didn't know how that would have possibly happened. This was said in a sarcastic tone over and over again, basically insinuating that I was lying about the hair. I asked the manager what his name was because he was one of the worst managers I've ever dealt with in my life! Zero customer service skills and the sarcasm was beyond irritating. There were three women working the food area with no hair nets and I'm sure that's where it came from. It's not even the point of hair in my food at this point but the attitude of the manager who claimed his name was "Chuck" but I'm not so sure since he mumbled it so fast. read more

The same thing goes for the "Bourbon Street Cafe" next to it--typical orange chicken, broccoli and beef, flavorless lo mein, etc. They do have a few Thai dishes, but anyone familiar with Thai cuisine knows it's far from it. However, this place does offer a break from all that by offering a variety of noodle soups, including wonton, spicy beef noodle, and seafood among others. The noodles and meat/seafood are cooked to order, so expect to wait around ten minutes for it to be ready. When it is, you add your own toppings. The portions are decent for around $7. My spicy beef noodle soup came with five large chunks of beef and plenty of baby bok choy. As for the noodles, they were cooked too long and became soggy/too soft. Great option if it's cold outside or you want something that isn't fried. read more

As someone below wrote, the man behind the counter is "aggressively" asking for your business. He is a salesman, for sure. He is offering every passerby a taste of chicken...that looks roasted or broiled, no breading, no sauce. He does this from behind the counter with offering this on a toothpick. In front of the counter, there is a meek young worker offering pieces of mango chicken. Now, I can't say there are plenty of choices there, but what they have is good. There are 2 kinds of noodle; thick noodle like pad thai, and a vermicelli noodle with vegetables. Also, fried rice. As an appetizer, they have "beggars' purses" which are basically cream cheese fried wontons. Very tasty. I can only review the broccoli, the string beans, the cheese wontons and the mango chicken. Yum. Very good. Prices aren't bad either. There is also a "Master Wok" across the food court but honestly I saw more traffic at Ruby Thai Kitchen. If you're looking for a quick, inexpensive and tasty Asian meal at Willowbrook Mall, this is the place for you. read more

Good solid Thai food! The real attraction are the soup/noodle bowls, which are off to the side and easy to miss if you aren't paying attention. The servings are big and very filling, and they have fresh cilantro, peppers etc.. to add to your soup when you get it. All in all, very healthy, and very tasty food, especially for a mall food court. read more
