This is hands down the best Thai food my fiancé and I have ever had! We recently tried the crispy duck in red curry, and I'm not exaggerating when I say it was one of the top three meals we've ever had. We also love the Pad See Ew, crab rangoons, spring rolls, the and Crying tiger appetizer. Everything we've tried has been absolutely amazing! The food is consistently delicious, and we find ourselves coming back for every occasion. We truly can't recommend this place enough! read more

I highly recommend the Drunk Woman Noodles and the Crab Fried Rice. Unique and tasty Thai flavors that I haven't had at any other Thai restaurants in the area. Service is friendly and restaurant has a whimsical Asian vibe. read more

We absolutely LOVE Sukhumvit. Tried a small tasting during the Walnut street fair and we have been hooked ever since. I was eager to try Khao Soi for the first time and it did not disappoint! The flavors in every dish are on point and consistent! We enjoy dining in and ordering through delivery. I cannot say enough great things about this restaurant! We will continue coming back to our favorite Thai restaurant in the Montclair area! read more

Thai food is always a good idea, and this spot definitely hits the mark! We ordered takeout on a Friday night -- duck, pineapple fried rice, crab rangoon, chicken wings, and drunken noodles -- and everything was a solid 10/10. So fresh, full of flavor, and just delicious. It's a little on the pricey side, but totally worth it. Ordering online was super easy, and our food was ready for pickup in under 30 minutes. I can't wait to come back and dine in for the full experience. If you're craving Thai food, this place will not disappoint! read more

If you are in the Montclair area you definitely want to try Sukhumvit! Although parking can be challenging in that area, it's worth it. The restaurant is cute and cozy from what I saw briefly while picking up my food. The food was already waiting for me and the check out was nice and quick! We ordered quite a few dishes and all of them were extremely tasty but one fell short... the pad see ew, it just lacked flavor and even green veggies. However everything especially the beef crying tiger and the SAUCE was Oooh so good! The Thai hot wings a delicious tooooo! I will be back for sure. read more

Beautiful space with many delicious menu options - I can't wait to come here again to try more! Great for sharing, as the portions are quite generous. Our appetizers were larger than expected but they sure did capture our appetite! Would highly recommend the Beef Crying Tiger - super juicy beef with a flavorful sauce that complements the beef and salad so well. I got the Had Yai Chicken and am still craving the crispy skin and savory, yellow curry rice. The Duck Pad Thai also looked amazing with an also generous portion of duck. read more

Food is great! For $ome reason get don't give you enough rice in your 2go portion and when I asked for more rice, they ended up charging me for another portion. One and done with Suk Eats! It's no better or worse than the other 10 Thai restaurants in this soulless little village of Montclair (apologies I mean Little Newark). It's not terrible, but it's certainly nothing special. Over $90 for two entrees, two appetizers, and one soup and this was takeout. Then this obnoxious place has the nerve to ask (they'll say it's a suggestion...pathetic) for a 30% tip. Let me remind the ridiculous zygote-and-fetus generations: you don't receive or deserve a tip unless you're waiting tables. Anyone tipping more than 18% is a clown. Prices keep going up while quality, quantity, and service keep going down. Take that. read more

Even though I don't live close to Montclair, this has become my regular go to Thai spot. We usually order takeout from here. My favorite dishes are the vegetable drunken noodles, Tom yum fried rice, roasted red duck and Basil seafood hotpot. Their curries are the perfect mix of creamy and light. They are generous with vegetables and herbs and would sometimes use fruit instead of just sugar to sweeten their curries. However service here is painfully slow especially around dinner time. I think we would typically have to wait around 20 mins minimum for entrees. This is a nice Thai restaurant to catch up with friends or even for a casual dinner date. read more

I've been here a few times with my dad. We are fans. This our go-to Thai spot in Montclair now. FOOD: Solid Thai food. My favorite so far is the Drunk Man Noodle, but most recently we tried a shrimp salad that my dad really liked. Their curry is standard -- hits the spot. SERVICE: Good, no complaints. They are nice here. AMBIANCE: I really like the ambiance here. Really nicely decorated with some super nice lamps. Blue velvet seats. Excellent feel. OVERALL: Our go-to Thai spot in the area! What more is there to say? If you like Thai and nice ambiance, you won't be disappointed. read more

Frequented for lunch and dinner in past months! This go-round we celebrated our kids' graduation with 10 of us! Brought our own wine and beer & ordered up a large spread and feast! Everything was absolutely hot and delicious and fresh. All who attended loved each dish from appetizer to mains, mocktails, curries and entrees! Service was great and though we got there at 740p with closing at 9pm we had a great time and folks were still there when we left after 930pm! Thanks for a great way to celebrate as a family! Loves the succulent duck, the curry puffs were unreal good and we ordered I believe 3-4 of them for the table. Spring rolls and fresh summer rolls were delicious too. Ordered chicken massan curry, steak, pad Thai and some Thai fried rice. Absolutely delicious all around and highly recommend you go NOW! read more

This has to be the best Thai food we have ever had. My father-in-law is from Laos, so we have very high standards. Amazing service and hospitality. From apps to deserts we had a great experience. Ok so I have zero pictures of food despite having been to the actual restaurant twice and having ordered takeout another time lol ... I apologize for this, but, it just speaks to just how good the food is and how excited we were to eat it. We haven't had anything we didn't like and when dining in service was always wonderful. It's a BYOB so be sure to bring a nice bottle of wine or bubbles to top off the food. read more

There was some issue in the kitchen when we visited so the wait was extremely long. The restaurant is not very big and was crowded with parties waiting to be seated as well as people picking up takeout orders. Despite the crowded waiting area, the staff remained calm and helpful. This location is BYOB. Once we were seated we didn't feel rushed. We had the pad thai (it was ok), the curry (very very good), curry puff (also very good), some steamed dumpling (very good) and a lychee drink. The food came out in a reasonable time and all tasted good. This is a good place for a casual date. The bathroom was clean and smelled good. read more

First of all the decor is so cute here with Christmas lights and a full size Santa . The light fixtures are great making it din but yet appealing. Ok now on to the food, the dumplings get a solid ten out of ten - thin dough- great filling - the pork appetizer is one of the best. Ginger char flavor that is just so yummy l. The duck was in a sweet sauce so not my favorite and the drunken noodle was good. Service was nice and it's a BYOB so grab a favorite bottle of wine and a friend. Enjoy read more

Excellent Thai on Walnut Street. Very cozy dining-room. We went for lunch where they offer a lunch special M-F 11:30-3;30. Large selection of entrees to choice with a complimentary appetizer. $14-$17. We had the spring roll and dumpling, all freshly prepared and very tasty. Entrees we tried Pad Thai and the Massaman Curry. All great flavors, staff very friendly. We will definitely be back. read more

Sukhumvit is an absolutely beautiful restaurant on Walnut Street in Montclair. The seating is very comfortable, and I was warmly greeted on both of my visits. Both times, I came for lunch. There are a nice selection of fun drinks to try. I have had the Yuzu Lemonade, and the Yuzu Iced Tea. Both were delicious. They offer a great lunch special consisting of an app and entree, with the price varying depending on your protein choice. I have tried the Sukhumvit Dumplings and Vegetarian Tom Yum Soup for the appetizers. The dumplings were very plump and tasty. The soup was very large, and had loads of veggies in delicious broth. For entrees, I have had Pad See Ew and Bangkok Noodles. I chose mock duck with both. Both portions are extremely ample. The noodles are nice and chewy. I recommend both dishes. I have really enjoyed both of my visits to Sukhumvit. I will definitely return for dinner, so that I can sample more dishes. read more

The Walnut street area has a bunch of great places - add this one to the list. It's very cute inside and also had some tables outside with a laid back atmosphere. Service was attentive. The menu was standard Thai classics but they are definitely well prepared and seasoned. The prices are a bit higher than some of the other local Thai spots though. We tried the Jade dumplings ($10) and chicken satay ($11) - both were delicious and well flavored. The jade dumplings were a great take for a veggie dumpling option. We also tried the basil fried rice $17 and chicken pad Thai $17 - both were great and a cut above the standard. Also they did a beautiful job of plating. We will be back for sure! read more

I came here yesterday with my best friend. And we both enjoyed our mocktails and chicken pad Thai. We both ate the same chicken pad Thai. It was my friend's first time trying out Thai food and she enjoyed the chicken pad Thai. The service was amazing, the waitress helped us out to pick our mocktails as we were a bit indecisive. I can't really say much about the ambiance as the restaurant wasn't too busy. I went to the restaurant at 4pm so it was an early dinner and there were two other tables dining. It was quiet but not too quiet I still felt comfortable chatting with my friend. The seats were comfortable and the restaurant was aesthetically pleasing. 10/10 Montclair dining recommendation read more

Wow! What a meal. Fresh, imaginative take on traditional Thai fare. High quality ingredients and enjoyable flavor profile. The service is always amazing. BYOB! (No hard liquor allowed) The drunk man noodles is cooked perfectly. The duck is to die for. In a beautiful curry sauce and perfectly crispy skin. All dishes can be requested to be turned up a notch I. The spicy level. I recommend it if you love spicy food. Parking is a bit challenging in this small cute town, worth traveling to for sure. My husband and I had eaten at Sukhumvit Thai a few times before and generally had good experiences. We liked the atmosphere, and the food was consistently enjoyable. Last Saturday, however, was a different story. We were seated by the window, which was lovely, and ordered one appetizer for my husband and two dishes to share. Although we'd asked for the appetizer to come with the entrées--since I hadn't ordered one--it arrived early. My husband kindly waited so we could eat together. While we sat there, neighboring tables who ordered after us were being served. After about 45 minutes with no sign of our meals, our server came by to say there had been a problem in the kitchen and that our food would arrive in five minutes. Fifteen minutes later, there were still no entrées and my husband's appetizer was cold --now a full hour after we'd ordered. At that point, we were frustrated and ready to leave. As we stood up, the server finally approached with our food. We took it to go (it was comped). Unfortunately, even the food was disappointing--bland and tasteless. All in all, it was a really unpleasant experience and a very disappointing night out. read more

What a gem in Montclair! My husband and I love Thai food and get excited whenever we discover a new Thai place to frequent. This one checks all the boxes: delicious food, attentive service, and beautiful interior decor. We ordered the lunch special (pork chop and Bangkok noodle) as well as 2 additional appetizers (beef crying tiger and crispy duck salad) that were well portioned that they could easily be eaten as entrees. All had unique flavors, satisfying every Thai fix that I had that day (comforting, refreshing, complex flavors). Can't wait to go back again soon! read more

Tasty Thai food in an elegant setting. Their lunch special is great, free appetizer with an entree order. Their noodles are all good but so far I think the Bangkok are my favorite. Curry doesn't taste mass produced like other places. The pork chop is beyond delicious and a generous size. read more

My husband and I have had a Thai food from this restaurant three times total. The first two times it was delicious. However, this last time we were questioning if it would be our go to moving forward. Our favorite thing to order was the basil fried rice, this time something was burned in it and the rice was a little grainy. Another favorite dish of ours was the chicken red curry and although the taste was absolutely delicious, there was literally two small pieces of chicken in it lol. Overall a great restaurant but I wish it was more consistent read more

Unimpressed. Food was not horrible but very mediocre. One of the first dishes I try at any Thai place is their Pad Thai. This one tasted unbalanced with some parts being a little more sour than other parts. There wasn't enough flavor overall and I don't think I saw an option for spice level...a little spice would have made it better for sure. With that said, not all good Thai places have amazing Pad Thai but if you can't make at least a good Pad Thai, I will tend to avoid trying anything else... read more

Really hard to find good Thai in Nj . I saw this place had good reviews so decided to give it a try. Overall good experience. We got take out I'd prob recommend eating there. When we got home the crab fried rice smelled bad like it was spoiled. The shrimp massaman say it comes with 9 pieces there as only 6 in there the flavor however was good. Thai tea was good. Vegetable dumplings weren't something we'd reorder. Overall for Nj Thai was good. read more

Terrible customer service. Simply put if the kitchen is so busy that they cannot handle orders to the point they don't know when your food will be ready and their best advice is to cancel the order - then maybe stop taking online orders for pick-up/delivery?? I don't want to make it more difficult for the restaurant to operate and waste anyone's time, I'm good with going somewhere else instead. There's really no excuse - switching online orders off is straightforward for the business. The business can then focus on guests dinning in, instead of upsetting customers all round. It was very visible that guests dinning, picking up and 3rd party Delivery Drivers were all getting annoyed with the situation. This review was after waiting +25mins in the restaurant and being told to cancel the order as they (and the kitchen) did not know when the food may be ready (they couldn't even find the order at one point). This is despite the app telling me to pick up at a specific time. read more
