    2 - Way Combo
 We Love Asian Food Here
    Grandpa B.

Always enjoy the food here. Sometimes the food has been sitting awhile but overall my family loves it. (Getting take-out tonight). Favorites are orange chicken, pepper steak, noodles, rice, etc. See photo of two way combo with two types of chicken and noodles. Orange chicken lightly battered and delicious. Everything (we tried) is good.

Ruby Thai Kitchen opened recently in the former Extreme Pita/Desert Moon Cafe space in the Mall of NH food court. Each Ruby Thai Kitchen is located in mall food courts across the country and are independently managed. They offer the standard choices of steam table fast serve Americanized Asian food, which is sort of similar to the offerings at Master Wok in the same food court. They offer several Thai style meat dishes (mostly chicken choices), lo mein noodles, rice, vegetables, fried appetizers, Coke products, and bottled drinks. As for the pricing, they offer 1 Entree ($6.49 w noodles or rice), 2 Entrees ($7.49 w noodles or rice), 3 Entrees ($8.49 w noodles or rice), and Kids Meal ($5.99 with 1 entree, rice or noodles, & small soft drink). Free samples are given out. This Ruby Thai Kitchen is very special and different than the other mall locations I've been to which only offer the precooked steam table food. This location also has an open grill area, which serves up fresh cooked food including Pad Thai, Thai Basil Fried Rice, and Noodle Soup, choice of veggie/tofu, beef, chicken, shrimp, and seafood. Price range is $7.99-$9.99 plus tax. While shopping at the Mall of NH, I stopped in the food court for some dinner. I was given free samples of the Thai salt pepper chicken and lemongrass chicken before ordering. I decided to go with Chicken Pad Thai Noodles ($8.99 plus tax), which was cooked spicy (requested) fresh to order on the grill. The portion size was good. The Pad Thai flat noodles were cooked soft with a mix of onions, sprouts (minimal), soft boneless chicken pieces, fresh lime, and topped with crushed Planters Peanuts upon request. Overall, I enjoyed my simplified Pad Thai dinner. It was a nice surprise to see that this Ruby Thai Kitchen now offers fresh cooked Thai food in addition to the usual precooked steam table items. I will definitely try out the fresh cooked noodle soup on my next visit to the food court.

Spicy beef noodle soup. There was a lot more perfectly tender cooked beef on the bottom.

Definitely the worst pad Thai I've had. The people that work there barely know enough English to take your order.

For shopping you'll find a wine merchant, The Market Pantry sells loose teas, oils, spices and kitchen goods and an Irish goods store, Erin gift shop, sells beautiful Aran Island sweaters, Muckross brand hats and purses along with other Irish inspired items. A few high tops are located along one wall in a hallway toward the back. We found one larger table in a small alcove nearby the high-tops and then there is an open area at the front that hold about twenty tables or so. A microbrewery is attached to the market too. All the vendors we spoke with were very friendly. Definitely could have walked away with so much food and loose teas and gifts. I will say I was little surprised and disappointed. This is not at all like City Place in Doral (Miami) where I am from. There it is open air, large, beautiful and full of fun places and great restaurants to eat at. This City Place seems more like an indoor food court with the only restaurants I saw to be blaze pizza and the paragon of great Asian food P.F Chang's (lol). Still this is where I went on some great tours. If your visiting Boston, I would definitely check out the tours Grayline/Beantown has. One great thing besides the tour company at City Place is the life size statue of Edgar Allen Poe. Obviously a small man who cast a long shadow. If your wondering why is there a statue of him in Boston? Well, he was born there. Per the tour guide, it was funded by a limited edition Edgar Allen Poe bobble head... wish I could have known I would have bought it! I love Edgar Allen Poe ever since I read this poem of his in middle school that spoke to me: From childhood's hour I have not been As others were -- I have not seen As others saw -- I could not bring My passions from a common spring -- From the same source I have not taken My sorrow -- I could not awaken My heart to joy at the same tone -- And all I lov'd -- I lov'd alone -- Then -- in my childhood -- in the dawn Of a most stormy life -- was drawn From ev'ry depth of good and ill The mystery which binds me still -- From the torrent, or the fountain -- From the red cliff of the mountain -- From the sun that 'round me roll'd In its autumn tint of gold -- From the lightning in the sky As it pass'd me flying by -- From the thunder, and the storm -- And the cloud that took the form (When the rest of Heaven was blue) Of a demon in my view -- I loved the detail of the statue... the Tell-Tale Heart... the Raven... amazing! The statue was awesome. The tour company was great. The rest...uninspiring.

Then I tried the pernil aka pork shoulder, which was recommended by the young lady who helped me, was a perfect match with it. The pork was soft, tender and filled with flavor. I've been to the other locations in Nashua on Ash Street and at the Pheasant Lane Mall food court several times and have had great food there. Cibao Kitchen serves up Latin American/Dominican food at very reasonable prices. The food is hot & ready served from behind the glass display counter. They offer a variety of meat entrees such as stewed beef, chicken, oxtail, ribs, pork served with choice of rice, and small salad for $7.99-$8.99 plus tax. They also sell spaghetti & fried green plantains ($6.99 plus tax), fried green plantains, sweet plantains, empanadas, stuffed potato balls, fried cheese, tamarind rice, Pepsi products, and fruit juices.  I stopped by this mall food court location late evening very recently and ordered my favorite Stewed Beef Dinner ($8.99 plus tax) and the last stuffed potato ball (filled with meat-$2 each). The portion here is good sized, the Stewed Beef was very tender. The Spanish rice and beans had good flavors and the salad was small and simple with iceberg lettuce, tomato slice, and ranch dressing. The stuffed potato ball (fried crisp outside) with soft mashed potatoes and ground beef in the center was a nice side to go with dinner. I would've ordered their empanadas too, if they didn't already sell out.  Though I am sad that Au Bon Pain (I enjoyed their croissants and pastries) closed in Salem, I am so glad that Cibao Kitchen opened another location at this busy mall.
