She provided great service and awesome recommendations from drinks, apps and eats! Her personality was very pleasant and sweet. She was attentive but not overwhelming at all. Both Aurry and Joel contributed to the overall experience making it great. The FOOD was a HIT. Everything ordered was presented beautifully and delicious!!! The executive chef is definitely cooking very very well!!! We loved the Blue Crab Ragoon App as well as the Crab Cakes. There was nothing left on the plates. For entrées we had Banana Foster Pain Perdu, Side of Duck Bacon, Hashbrown, 100% Seafood Gumbo and Fried Catfish. Everything was seasoned to perfection and hot!!! Last but definitely not least are the Cocktails which were very good. Try the Cold Brew Martini if you like iced coffee type drinks and also try the Strawberry Lemon drop for a sweet treat. Both taste great and have a nice amount of spirits in them. This is a must try in NOLA. Will definitely return!!

The grand slam McMuffin was also very solid! I got the hash brown on the side to see what it was like on its own and it was definitely one of the most tasty and perfectly crispy hash browns I've ever had! Cons: The chicken biscuit was seemingly huge, but there were quite a bit of pieces where the chicken seemed overcooked/tough or just pieces of straight batter. I ended up not eating about a third chicken, because of this, but it was still filling.

We checked into our nearby hotel a bit early in the day and was looking to hit the streets for a spot to get a chill/light breakfast, a coffee and maybe a cocktail. We found all the things at Luzianne Cafe. Whether you belly up to the bar or grab a table, both of which are first come first serve, you start at the counter where you order, pay and grab your table number. It appears that during busy times they allow you to sit first and order from the QR at your table, this is an assumption given the code to order at the table, but the sign at the entry directed folks to the counter to order before sitting. For breakfast, we got the breakfast biscuit which came with eggs, bacon and cheese, and sided it with grits. The breakfast sandwich was solid, eggs were a bit soft and grits were more mealy than we are used to, but I think that may be authenticity of the area more than anything. I opted for the three option omelet with onion, sausage and gouda plus a side of sausage links. The omelet, though odd sounding combination turned out to be solid. Maybe it was my options, but it was decently "one note" in flavor. I tossed a little hot sauce on and that helped. However, while the sausage links were not much to look at, they were tasty, with a nice snap to the casing and meaty inside. To go with our breakfast, I got a cold brew with a splash of almond milk while my partner embraced NOLA and started his day with a bourbon sour. Both of us enjoyed our choices! Service was friendly and helpful at the counter/bar. The food runner was nice and then another member, assuming the Manager, that stopped by to check on us mid meal. She was super friendly and nice. The food is consistently good, which is why I keep coming back. They're almost always busy, so I definitely recommend putting your name on the waitlist as soon as possible because the wait can get pretty long. My biggest complaint, though, is the service. Unfortunately, it's been an issue pretty much every time I've visited. The servers often seem a little disengaged, forget things we ask for, and take a long time to bring out food or other items. During my most recent visit, the table next to us had their food brought out before we had even placed our order, even though we had been seated first. It honestly felt like our server had forgotten about us completely. We shouldn't have to keep trying to get someone's attention just to place an order or get the things we need. I understand that restaurants get busy, but there's a difference between being busy and making your customers feel overlooked. It's frustrating because the food is genuinely so good, and the service doesn't match the quality of the experience. Overall, I still love this place and will probably keep coming back because the food is that good! I just really wish the service were more attentive, organized, and welcoming. With better service, this place would be even harder to beat.
