I walk in and sit in the bar area. Everything is portioned well, drinks, sides, entrees. Prices are reasonable. I switched it up and ordered the 20oz. Prime Rib with the Jacketed Baked Potato. Our server Mari was fantastic.

Dang... this used to be a favorite place. I used to bring my friends here after today. I will never come back. The table was dirty. The floors were gross and dirty. The service was terrible, I saw my waiter twice. the Caesar salad which I should've taken a picture of was horrible, the cheese on it was hard. The cheese was brown. I couldn't eat it. Been here for an hour. I do have a drink and I have my salad lol can't eat that still waiting for my food. If it wasn't so filthy in here I probably could overlook some of this stuff. This disgusting. I'm just gonna take my food home and eat it hopefully it's not gonna make me sick.

The restaurant was clean and inviting. Our server was friendly and attentive. The filet mignon skewers were excellent. The meat was tender and cooked to perfection. This is a great steakhouse for locals.

We haven't been back here for quite awhile; trying out different establishments in Reno. Food still great and service good ! Sourdough to start. Today we got the 10oz Garlic butter Sirloin with asparagus and broccoli as sides (Yum) and 16oz Ribeye. I requested more garlic butter to put on my veggies; which to me made it pop. We had enough room for dessert so we tried Ruby's cookie (which the cookie tasted undercooked / mushy. I prefer a firmer cookie). Overall still good steakhouse !

If you follow my reviews you know I've been in a Birthday club with the same girls for 36 years. Tonite is the night to celebrate Patti's 60th. To be honest I haven't been to the Ruby River since the last Birthday party when Shannon turned 40 so it's been awhile. I had the garlic top sirloin, it was delicious and the meat melted into your mouth. I wish my onions could have been grilled longer and really my one piece of asparagus could have used a few more friends on my plate. Everyone enjoyed their food and service was excellent. We made a reservation for 8 and got seated right away. All of our dinners came out at the same time and for a table of 8 there were no issues other than more asparagus. The last time we were there you would throw the peanuts on the floor but it seems like they removed that type of atmosphere and the restaurant was going more for the classy steakhouse vibe. When we left there was a huge wait in the front! Glad we made a reservation. I highly advise it. Oh by the way they didn't include the gratitude for a large party and I thought that was extra nice. We always give more anyway.

A nice place with reasonable prices. Good food at prices that won't break you. Saw a number of families sharing. A full bar with decent wine selection. Might call ahead on evenings and weekends.

I cannot wait to come back and visit Lily and hope I get her again as a waitress. This was my first time here and she made my visit so enjoyable. What an adorable waitress with good humor and positive energy. She had that sweet Texas charm and made sure I was taken care of. I could have stayed there all night eating and chatting with her as she checked on my table. I really enjoyed the dark, quiet, and intimate nature of the place filled with our voices as I asked her things about the menu. Overall the food was fiiire! Steaks seasoned to perfection, delicious soup, ranch, and sides, and pretty good prices. The ambience is lowkey and intimate and sometimes you want that when the workd is so loud and crazy. I love you Reno, I will return! Thanks for the delicious food and amazing service. Oh, the table bread 10/10 stars! Yumm! 8-oz ribeye 5/5 stars 10-oz ribeye 5/5 stars Side lobster tail add on 1/5 stars. This was not good at all and didn't taste like lobster. My friend said maybe the quality or cut wasn't good because you couldn't really tell you were eating lobster at all. We decided to go here instead of eating at the Peppermill casino and we were not mad at all about it. There will probably be a wait if you don't make reservations, but you can try your luck with a seat at the bar to bypass that. Super reasonably priced and you get a ton of food. Their sides were the highlight for me. Anything potato always gets me. The service was really great too.

I love this Steakhouse over any other steakhouse in Reno. It has a really homey feel to it, not a franchise. I always order the porterhouse. It is cooked exactly how you ask for it. Great Date night place to go, I don't mind how much the food is because it is always delicious. We ordered two porterhouse dinners comes with two sides. I also added jalapeno poppers and calamari, The calamari is very tender and the poppers are poppers. I also had the mashed potatoes with white gravy and it also is very different and delicious.

Ok, this is our second time to try Ruby River. I wasn't impressed the first time but..... gotta give it a try again. Ruby River is a small chain restaurant and this is the only one in Nevada while there are others in Utah. Our server (her first night solo) did amazing!! Cannot remember her name, probably due to the darn good margarita! Ok, our orders were Chicken with a raspberry glaze. From what I was told it was very tasty, but the chicken breast l's were a bit dry. The rest of us ordered rare prime rib. Ok, this is a steakhouse, and you would think prime rib would be top notch (same as I had on my last visit) un fortunately the results were very similar. Three orders of prime rib, rare, two baked potatoes one rice. The rice was tasty and made correctly, and the huge stuffed baked potatoes were insane! They deep fry a crust on their bakers which takes it to anew level. Oh , yeah there was also prime rib. We were told prior to getting our meal that we were lucky that we got the last prime rib. Oh boy!!! I expected them not to be rare, but to my surprise they were served rare/medium but closer to rare, so good on them. The prime rib had shaved horseradish on them(nice touch), but all was lost once I dug in to my meal. I ordered a 16 oz rib and possibly took off five ounces of gristle. The Au Jus was ok, kind of missing the full taste it should have. The rest of the prime rib was not very tender as I would have expected. Ok, the meal was ok, just ok! After two attempts of exactly the same meal with the same results. I'll be heading through Utah this summer and not stopping at Ruby River. The drinks were great though!

Unfortunately the food here is going downhill. It's happening slowly over the years. We eat here 2 or 3 times a year, usually with friends because we like the location and environment. 5 years ago it was consistently a great experience. Nowadays the food lacks flavor, quality and the portion sizes are small. Steaks tonight were chewy, my beer was flat and the salmon was dry and tasteless. My wedge salad was excellent!

Our server checked on us the right amount and our food came out quickly. We ordered the Giant Hamburger and the BLT. The burger was thick, juicy, and piled high with classic toppings, messy in the best way and full of flavor. The BLT was generously stacked with crispy bacon, fresh lettuce, and tomato on toasted bread, simple and satisfying. The only downsides were the fries and my drink. The fries were overcooked, dry, and a bit too tough. I ordered a vodka soda, and it tasted more like soda with a splash of vodka. Overall, it was a good experience and we would return.

It was our 1st time eating there however it had been on our list for some time. We started with the PULL-APART GARLIC CHEESE BREAD which is Focaccia, mozzarella, marinara, parmesan, frico crust and also ordered the WOOD FIRED OCTOPUS with crispy gnocchi, tomatoes, red onion, basil, arugula and topped with a Calabrian chili aioli. Both were fantastic, seasoned nicely and cooked to a perfect temperature!! For our entree we hate the BEE STING pizza. Make with a 72 Hour Fermented Organic Dough topped with Salami, red onion, basil, serranos, mozzarella and honey. The crust was delicious, crunchy, thin and when combined with the sauce, seasoning and toppings, an excellent pizza. Additionally we ordered two of the in-house, housemaid pasta. The ARRABBIATA , a roasted red pepper campanelle, with Calabrese sausage, garlic, chilis, broccolini and topped with Parmesan, pecorino. The other pasta we tried was the BLACK SPAGHETTI, mixed with clams, scallops, shrimp, hot chopped peppers, white wine, butter and lemon. It was fantastic!! Cooked al dente and packed with flavor. Overall it was a very pleasant experience. The service was great, food was yummy and we definitely look forward to going back again soon!

I enjoyed the bee sting pizza, hot and sweet, and I love the combination. When I go back it will definitely be pizza, salad and cauliflower. The sever was a sweet young man. He was attentive to our needs and patient with all our questions. The restaurant is a good size, the bar area was busy and filled with conversation and laughter, the booths looked cozy, we chose a table near windows for outside lighting. The outside tables looked great for getting some warmth and fresh air. Many options and different settings. Sorry, I forgot to take pics.

I absolutely loved the White Linen -- and that's saying a lot because I'm usually not much of a gin drinker. Tonight I also tried the Blueberry Lemon Drop. I tend to like more of a tart citrus flavor, so it wasn't exactly the tartness I expected at first; however, once I ate the blueberry garnish and took another sip, it completely changed the drink for me and tasted much better. I also tried two of their specials -- the Salmon with Alfredo sauce and the Tenderloin sliders. Again, Alfredo normally isn't my thing, but the Salmon was cooked beautifully and the sauce was very enjoyable, especially since they accommodated my request for a lighter amount. Since I couldn't decide between dishes, I ordered the tenderloin sliders to-go as well... and they were delicious too! Our server Miguel was new and did a really good job. You could tell he was just a little nervous, but he was attentive, kind, and handled himself well. Everyone starts somewhere, and I wanted him to know he's doing a great job and will only continue getting better with experience. Another solid visit overall. It was also nice seeing GM Drew working the restaurant floor as usual. You can absolutely see his management style reflected in the atmosphere and service -- the restaurant was busy, yet the team handled everything smoothly. And of course, Chef continues making consistently delicious meals. Definitely looking forward to coming back again soon!

The menu has a variety of dishes and it was really delicious and well-prepared. The bus-persons and food runners were great: friendly and attentive. Cons: the cashier, our waitress and the manager lack initiative. Our server disappeared at the end of the meal; meanwhile, we had a starring contest with the cashier who I guess couldn't leave her station to drop off the check or ring us up, so we had to walk-up to the hostess to ask for the check, to which we were directed to the manager who then dropped off a copy of the receipt after about 20 minutes but didn't bother ringing it up. Instead, she strolled out to the casino floor with another woman and had a long, languid conversation. After about an hour, we flagged her back down and told her we were ready to pay the bill, she then directed us to the bar where the cashier was. So in summary: food was good, some of the service was good but overall service could use some improvement.
