I found out about Ruby when my son needed alterations on a suit and I needed something quick. The service was amazing and very fast (on request). I used to take all my suit/shirt alterations to Chicago but my guy left so I figured I would give Ruby a shot. So far they have been just as good as my guy in Chicago. My requests are not normal, and so far Ruby has delivered and surprisingly the prices for my difficult requests are more than reasonable. I've had the unfortunate experience of clothes not being ready at the promised time and when speaking with the owner, Susan tells me she can't go in the machine and return MY shirt to me because it's 50lbs of shirts. Needless to say my son couldn't wear the shirt. Trying to give the business the benefit of the doubt I returned with clothes only to have a shirt not cleaned properly and when I asked them to refund the money I was told because my shirt was same day and since I couldn't leave it with them to clean again she would not refund my cost. Just not good customer service I WILL NOT BE RETURNING Both cuffs on the shirt were still dirty. I have been using this place for couple years. The quality of laundry has gone down badly. I have noticed over charging on the bills. When I brought up this during pick up, the staff acknowledged the mistake. Instead of fixing it, she advised me to tell them when the mistake happens again at check in and get it fixed. Wrongful charging and not fixing it even after bringing to the notice is totally unacceptable. Not sure how long they have been charging wrong. Surprisingly the staff acknowledged the mistake and not willing to fix. IT IS TOTALLY UNETHICAL BUSINESS!!! I don't want be cheated any more. Staying away from this business. Pros: -Pants were creased properly and were cleaned Cons: -They affix a bar code to your clothing item that can not be removed Recommended: -No, they were not forthcoming with their process and did not work with me to resolve the issue. To most customers the bar code sticker wouldn't be a big issue, but since I was not made aware of this fact it is a HUGE issue. I will continue to try to work with them on the issue, but as of right now I wouldn't recommend them. read more

When same day or next day service was requested, they always met our needs. If cleaning is all you need, then prices are good, however if you are in need of tailoring/alterations stay far away!...I have had 3 issues with alterations here. I know, why after the first would you come back? And my answer would be "convenience". I just purchased an expensive suit that need to be shorten in pant length, and sleeves on jacket. So again I went with convenience, with an awful result The pant was to short...twice! Ugh!, the jacket...ruined! I brought it to a local "Professional" tailor, and her first comment was, "Did I do this myself" and "Why would a tailor do this to a suit jacket"? I wish I could post a photo of the work so you could see the before and after result. Oh, by the way, I have used this cleaner for over 3 years, and have recommended others to do so...that ended today. They never offered a refund, and couldn't of cared less. read more

I took a woman's top to be shortened. When I picked it up, it was not done correctly - it was uneven. i told them at the time it needed to be fixed. I went back a few days later & the owner said it was fine & she didn't fix it. She said to take it home and check it out. I did - it still wasn't correct. I went back there today wearing it so she could see how uneven it was. She told me she would fix it but would charge me more!!! I already paid for it before. I said no, she needed to fix it correctly - she refused! I have given them a significant amount of business over the last couple of years. If I had her attitude, my company would be out of business - especially when there is a Cleaners on every corner. Terrible customer service! Won't ever go back & would not recommend. read more
