I pay good money for my garments and I want them cared for properly. Not rich, but I'm very fussing. They never ever let me down. I walk to this location with my dog to pick up and drop off my dry cleaning...they are an excellent group of people who really do a wonderful job. They always encourage and welcome my dog into their store and give her a nice treat but, most importantly, the staff do a great job with my clothing and I have never had an issue with them in over 4 years of using them. These photos are taken AFTER they "cleaned my wedding dress three times". I asked them not to box it (preserve it) so I could view the dress and they boxed it anyways - assuring me it was clean and looked good. Then got frustrated when I asked to see it and have the box opened and this is how they left my wedding gown! This is not clean- and whatever they did to try and clean it ruined the fabric. They still made me pay for cleaning services even though I will have to take it to another place to get professionally cleaned. They were dishonest with me and I feel as if they boxed it without letting me see it to try and hide the condition they left my dress in. I've taken several clothing items to Paoletti's over the last year or so, all of them well dry cleaned. My comforter is too large for my washer, and I previously went to another shop but they're now 20+ minutes away. I tried Paoletti's to save on time and gas since I had had success with them before. Once I brought my comforter home, I found several safety pins on the top portion--the kicker was that I found one months later, open and scratching me in the middle of the night. Because the top of my comforter isn't the typical cotton, small holes now exist all over my beautiful comforter due to Paoletti's using safety pins. I guess it was cleaned properly, but I never received my comforter in such poor shape from the other cleaners. I do NOT recommend Paoletti's for your comforter cleaning needs. read more

I needed several fur coats repaired and cleaned. I met with Sue in alterations and she was very pleasant, knowledgeable and very detailed. One long coat needed to be shortened and Sue did an excellent job. The turnaround was faster than expected and the price was very reasonable for hand work. Great for alternations, Prom and Weddings! It smells like a dry cleaner... So, Okay... I kind of like this place. It has a family run feel (but, that might be my imagination) They do a free delivery and pick up (dropped a nice bag off at my door) but I've never taken advantage of that service. Those CD One Price places don't really have such great prices on cleaned and pressed shirts and I like the way they treat me when I'm here. They also clean things that don't fit into a "one price" category like bedspreads, duvets, dust ruffles etc... If the line is two deep and I'm the second guy in line they always get someone from the back to come and help me. You pay when you pick up and there's no hassle of counting the shirts an pants before you leave. They just look at you and say "I'll take care of it".. I'm all like.. "cool!" I have a treasured brown leather jacket that needed some pocket repair, they gave me some good advice that saved me time and money.. that alone is reason to go back. The last dry cleaner that I used in Naperville (on 75th st) was cranky and didn't like anyone... I figured that I was special and that secretly; he really did like me... one day, he sold the store (didn't ask ME first!) A really nice lady took over, she remembered my name, how I like my starch etc... I didn't know what to do with myself. That's probably not going to happen here, on either extreme.. Terrible Management, zero effort to do the right thing and take ownership for a ruining a designer article of clothing. It took a frustrating 3+ months and countless attempts to reach out for an undervalued reimbursement to be issued. The owner, Al, was very unprofessional and rude throughout the whole ordeal. To avoid reimbursing, Al attempted to make me return the used article that his business ruined, even though it had been dry cleaned without issue at another cleaners. In the end Al would only agree to less than 1/3 of the purchase price, stating "lady, I'm not giving you full cost for a used item." He then blamed the delay in reimbursement on his son, whom I had never spoke to. It was never about the money but instead Paolettis taking responsibility for a mistake. Very disappointing businesses are able to operate with such terrible customer service. There was never an attempt for an never an apology, met instead with avoidance, annoyance and arrogance. And yes, they are still emailing invoices in error including duplicate billing errors. What a nightmare. read more

I wanted to support a local Wheaton Dry cleaner having moved from lake forest where J&K has been outstanding but limited hrs due to covid. I dropped off mostly laundered items, cashnere sweater, one silk blouse and a cotton cardigan needing no cleaning just a button to sew. Picked up order, when I got home, took cleaning out of bag and the silk blouse was unbuttoned, barely on hangar and spotted with black stains on front and back of blouse. I took back the blouse and was stressed my max mara blouse was permanently ruined. They couldn't explain what it was, maybe a starch but were able to get out the black Mark's but the deep navy color is a slight shade lighter. They offered no explanation or apology. They informed me the cardigan was ready and charged me for cleaning. Rather than argue it didn't need cleaning, I paid and noticed when I got home the button was never sewn on. I returned for a second try, I asked for a needle to sew my button on and explained it was never completed. The woman at counter shrugged oh well and didn't know where seamstress kept a needle and didn't bother to find out or ask if they could do it. I decided to still give them a third chance to clean another silk blouse, with no stains just clean and press. When I picked it up and paid, I knew to look under the plastic to make sure it was properly cleaned before leaving. To my dismay, 2 new stains, this time brown spots were on the front and wrinkles at waist area were visible and not pressed. The same woman shrugged, offered no apology and said she'd send back for redo at no charge. Gee thanks for adding stains and not cleaning in the first place. I picked the blouse up today and only one spot remained but press job not efficient. So bizarre, still charged I will not be back. I'm giving two stars as my husband's laundry appear clean. I brought in a suit with leather trim that I had only worn 3-4 times and only had it cleaned at Paoletti's. I went to take the suit out to wear it and found the leather trim on the jacket was completely damaged and can no longer be worn. I brought it back to them and they claim it was not their issue and caused by normal wear & tear. I don't see how they can claim they are not at fault when the last time I wore it, it was not damaged at all. I took it in to be cleaned and it came back damaged. They offered no refund or credit for the cost of the suit but instead told me I would have to pay $175 to have them fix it. Seems they damage peoples clothes and then charge them to fix it. What a scam. I will never bring anything back to them again. Such a let down. I truly expected more. read more

Having used a number of dry cleaners in the various places I have lived, Paoletti's is one of the best. I could use one of the places near my home for convenience sake, but using Paoletti's near my work is worth the slight inconvenience. The reason is consistency in really great service and our clothes always coming out just right. I have used other places where I become quite the regular, but here they always remember who I am making drop off and pick up a breeze. Prices are extremely competitive...and as another reviewer said, it always smells nice and clean inside - important because my clothes will also smell fresh at pick up. DON'T WASTE YOUR MONEY! The first time I took in a white pea coat in which was in great condition. Upon me picking up my coat I had noticed the big red stain left on my coat with a note left on it "sorry, we could not remove this stain". I would avoid this dry cleaner. Poor quality and disregard for customer service. I dropped off a dress for alterations and coat to be cleaned. When I came back a week later they could not find the dress and the jacket hadn't been cleaned. After about 15 mins of searching they found the dress but the alterations had not been done. I needed the dress for the following evening so they assured me it would be ready at 7am the next morning. When I arrived the following morning, once again they could not find the dress. The coat had been cleaned but the hood was missing. After 20 mins of looking I left asking them to call when they found the dress and the hood. Around 11am I had not heard from them so I called them. They had found the dress, hood, and the coat was ready. The following day when I went to wear the coat I realized the metal belt buckle was damaged and broken. It was silver and it's now tarnished metal color and it doesn't close because the sides are dented. I brought it back in to show them. They said the belt doesn't come off so they wrap it the best they can and they are not responsible for damage resulting from cleaning and told me to contact manufacturer. What?!?! They took no responsibility. He did offer to have seamstress look at it. He bent part of the metal back so the latch will close and felt that was satisfactory even though the buckle looks like someone ran over it with the lawn mower. At the least they should have reimbursed or credited me for the cleaning of the coat that I can no longer wear. read more

You can't beat the pick-up and delivery convenience. I consider taking a star away because they are expensive, but, that's likely what pays for said pick-up and delivery. What bothers me, though, is that I always teach my kids not to walk through yards when there is a sidewalk (trick-or-treating, etc.). I wish their drivers had been taught this. To me, it's common courtesy - especially if it is treated grass, newer sod or mulch, etc. Nope. These guys take the most direct path no matter what. I understand not everyone may care about that, but, I find that rude and they can do better. read more
