Imagine, it is 1 o'clock in the afternoon and you need a suit pressed by the end of the day. Apparently this is a Herculean task because other dry cleaners would not do it. However, I called here and the woman who answered the phone was most accommodating. No problem, it would be ready by 4:30. This is great customer service, I have never been here before, but she was willing to help under a time constraint. Are there other cleaners closer to my home? Leo's, Leo's, how do I love thee, let me count the ways: -- open 7 a.m. for pickup-dropoff -- free parking right out front -- recognized a designer jacket, removed the buttons to protect them, then sewed them back on at no charge -- nice ladies at the counter who remember you, smile and ask how you are -- apologized for a broken shirt button then replaced ALL the buttons so they would match -- two or three-day turnaround -- NO dryclean chemical smell -- recycle hangers. Just picked up my dry cleaning today! I had 3 suit jackets, 1 dress shirt and 1 pair of shorts for only $24 - pretty good deal! Definitely for the quality they provide. I had a large paint stain on my white dress shirt, but they got it off - very impressed by their work! Honestly, I would give this place a 4.5 if I could, but the only thing holding me back from giving me a 5/5 is the service. Specifically, there's this fairly young lady who seemed like she dislike her job. No smile, not much of a greeting either. However, the quality of work they produce definitely overrides that small blemish of their business. But for sure, I would come back to this place every time to have my dry cleaning done! read more

Leo's Cleaners was the foundation of a lesson I presented to my 7 year old daughter as I was dropping my dry cleaning off this past week. She asked me the question of "Daddy, why didn't we just go to the place near our house (One Price) and why did we pass a couple of other cleaners to come here?" I explained to her that you are better off spending your money at some places than others, and that often times you get what you pay for - I equated the dress her mom was looking at in Target versus the one that she saw at Von Maur. The Von Maur one was a bit more money, but it looked better, was built better, had better fabric and would likely stand up better over time. I then explained to her that Leo's might cost a bit more money than the One Price place right near our house, but I never need to worry about my shirts being shrunk a bit (which they were elsewhere), my pants are always immaculately pressed, and my suits always come out of there looking brand new. The people inside are nice, they've got some old trains on display that my 3 year old son loves, I like the character of the place, and honestly I like supporting businesses in downtown Lisle. I'll gladly drive the 2 or so extra miles to give my business to Leo's. Thanks for some good work! read more

Thought I liked this place and that it'd be my new dry cleaner (don't use them as much anymore with the wrinkle free shirt phenomenon) but they just charged me $40 to sew something along an inseam and on a pocket on another pair of slacks. I guess I'd use them if no alternative - but expect to pay more than elsewhere. read more

Was in Lisle for my son's wedding and was steaming my dress and my daughters dress on my own late morning Friday. I've never done that before and the steamer was spitting on my daughters dress. I didn't want stains to happen so I started calling places to get two dresses steamed last minute. I needed them in less than 24hrs. Two other places said they couldn't get them done in time. I've had moments where I needed something cleaned the same day and they never disappointed me. You guys, I'm no good at domestic things. I can bake, but most everything else is a flying crapshoot of takeout food, buying new clothes when the buttons come off, and calling my mom for help more often than I'd like to admit. So when the fiance's suit needed to be dry cleaned for a wedding this weekend, and I remembered it TUESDAY (damn you Labor Day!) I panicked. After several smell tests and a call to mom, I decided yes, this needed to be dry cleaned. But where? My fellow Yelpers, you saved the day. This place is a GEM. Warm, friendly, helpful staff, a 24 hour turntime, less than $10 for a suit cleaning, and they take credit cards. I don't know much about dry cleaners, but this place is TOPS. Both drop off and pickup, I was there for less than 5 minutes, and all of them pleasant. And for that price, I can do less sniff-checks and just assume our nice duds need a good scrubbin' and head over to Leo's. Adulthood Level: expert! read more

Although maybe a little more expensive than other cheaper cleaners, they were worth the money. Leo's was able to get out a nasty stain on my sweater that was there for several months even after saying they couldn't promise it would come out. They have convenient hours open early before work and late enough to pick up on your way home. The staff were friendly, and I'd definitely use them again read more

Wrinkled yokes on shirts consistently and the most miserable younger staff who greet you with a grunt if you're lucky.....

AVOID! After two second chances (my shirts were wrinkled and marks were not removed from my pants, causing a do-over that can wear out expensive pants,) my pants came back ironed with another crease!? And by the way, the staff are RUDE!!! read more

Wow, I always appreciate when a clerk is direct with you because you know how you are valued. Briefly, I've been going to Leo's for about a year now for dry cleaning and shirt laundry. Recently, my shirts have come back with buttons broken for which I showed the clerk the last time I was there the problem I was experiencing (the exact same button broken on multiple shirts). I asked her if we could put some type of marker on the button location such as a pin but she said no, that she would simply write at the top of the receipt "Replace broken buttons" and that would be all that is required. Okay, who am I to tell someone there process. Sure enough though the shirts came back without the buttons fixed. At $1.85 per shirt for cleaning, this is not what I or anyone else should reasonably expect. Anyhow, I went back again, and she indeed agreed to mark the buttons with pins (my experience is usually there is a small red tag with the pin placed at the broken button location, but whatever). As I left, the woman said if they don't fix them just tell her and she will write at the top again for them to fix them. In a polite tone, my response was that if they don't fix them this time I will need to go somewhere else, as I can't reasonably be expected to have to wear dress shirts with broken buttons. Her response, verbatim, "go ahead, we have plenty of other customers". Needless to say, she didn't get my shirts and won't get my business ever again. Leo's has been around for a very long time and has clearly been successful in the past, but there is an attitude there these days that a customer simply doesn't need and should be aware of. read more
