I have chronic gastritis and specifically ordered a burrito without salsa or any kind of spice. However, my burrito was filled with salsa, jalapeños, and other spicy sauces. I also ordered a quesadilla for my kids with no guacamole, sour cream, or salsa, but it came with all of them anyway -- and the quesadilla was wet and unappetizing. My other classmates arrive with me and they order there. 7 mins later they get ALL there food and MY order wasn't done not even CLOSE TO BE DONE. I was a regular to Rubios for years, and then the quality went down hill fast so I stopped going. My wife and I decided to give it another shot and we were both very pleased. The original fish tacos are really good. The two taco plate with beans and chips, $10.49. Well worth it. The salsa bar offers a variety of salsas and they were good as well. The only negative was the people working there. I've never seen so many unhappy employees in one place at one time. Not a smile. Not a laugh. Not an ounce of joy. OK RUN DON'T WALK to Rubio's. I have been coming to the Temecula PKWY location for years and this is a wonderful location. Actually the only location I will go to in Temecula. All the employees are amazing and fun to chat with. I am the type of person who gets stuck in only ordering 1 or 2 things because I don't want to be disappointed. I like eating what I know is good. Alex, one of the managers, really made my first visit to this location easy. It was all about I had 490 points that were going to expire and I could use them for a free drink or dessert. And then I had another survey coupon for a free drink or dessert. But I felt the computer may not let me use both on the same transaction so I wanted the employee to make it two tacos for this transaction and two tacos for another transaction so I could use both vouchers that have expiration dates. Well it got so complicated to do on my phone so Alex took over and he just gave me the 2 free items and made it one transaction was a lot faster. I thank Alex and I'm having a good meal. I'm getting everything to go and packaged separately cuz I make the tacos at home. Maybe two tomorrow night and put the fillets in my toaster oven and make it all like from scratch from the ingredients they package separately here today. I can't remember his name but it seems as soon as he stopped managing the place, it went downhill fast! Had a decent lunch at Rubios today. I've eaten at the Rubios chain multiple times but first visit to this location was today. Great location centralized on Temecula Pkwy. Parking lot can be a bit busy (I've been in this lot countless times before) but parking wasn't much trouble today. They offered indoor and outdoor dining. Chose to eat outside since the weather was beautiful. Table was clean but a couple of e chairs had some crumbs on them. Only reason for not giving five stars. I typically order a plate but just got chicken tacos today. Same as they usually are. Good and filling (ate 3). Wife ordered the nachos and I poached a few of those as well. Never tried the nachos but was pleased with the cheese and beans. I don't care for sour cream or guac myself but she enjoyed them very much. Staff at the counter was helpful and friendly. Quick as well. Staff that delivered the food was also professional and asked if we needed anything else. Good overall experience and will likely use this location in the future. read more

I really like coming to this Rubios location. We ordered online in the parking lot and we were able to pick up our food within 10 minutes. The store manager Kristin was extremely courteous, friendly, and very helpful. She made sure all customers had their order correct and she took the time to offer additional salsa or condiments to go with your meal. I'm addition I saw that she also followed up with her staff making sure that they were doing well and if they needed any help. This is quite surprising as I'm used to managers telling their staff what to do instead checking in on them. Huge points to her for this. We ordered the family taco platter and it came with one choice of meat (chicken, beef, or shrimp) and beans, rice, chips, guacamole, and tortilla. It was good enough to serve 4 people. She have us a big Rubios blue bag to take home and also have us additional salsa and lime. Kristen also took the time to recommend future entrees to choose from. I really like Kristen'a friendly attitude because when I complimented her on her lashes she also gave me great tips on which knees to get and where to get them. Rubio's is one of my favorite places to eat because of the amazing food and service. I've always been treated well when I eat here and they make sure your food gets out quickly. I don't think I've ever waited more than 5 - 10 minutes for my food. Now, I know what you're thinking. Is the food actually good? Sometimes things should take longer if it's actually great food. Well the answer is yes, they have phenomenal food!! Plus the scenery is very nice and makes for a comfortable meal experience. I highly recommend this place to anyone who enjoys Mexican or sea food. We have enjoyed Rubios in the past. Must say yesterday was a total fail. They had a two entrees for $15.00 so we ordered two of their shrimp bowls. Without going into detail we wasted our time and money. Salads were basically tasteless. The manager that had been there for years is gone, so that may have something to do with the change. We should have just gotten their fish tacos! There was fewer people working in the kitchen and one cashier, so they maybe suffering like many restaurants that are in no being able to hire enough people. I've been coming to this Rubios for 8 years and can never get my fillings of fish tacos. We came in on taco Tuesday and they were super busy but the oder line moved really quick. I ordered 2 fish tacos and the wife ordered two fish tacos plate which came with 2 tacos, beans and chips. I got one of her tacos....lucky me! AMAZING!!!! Its been a long time since I had some great fish tacos! I've been trying a bunch of different places lately to see who has the best fish and shrimp tacos, and I have been disappointed over and over. Until I came here to Rubios. I went for the Coastal Trio plate and I'm so glad that I did!!! It came with one shrimp taco, one fish taco, and one tilapia taco. All were cooked to perfection!!!!! The tilapia was cooked in a batter, and gave it a very nice texture but it wasn't too crunchy which sometimes happens with beer battered fish tacos sometimes. The salmon was grilled and tasted delightful. And lastly the shrimp tacos were so flavorful, and came with slices of avocado which set it off the hook!
