An excellent meal just down the road from our hotel. We were taken there by our guide as part of the tour. It is a family owned place but we did not get to see the grandma patriarch as she was away with grandkids. We had a nice speech from the owner prior to our meal. It is an old inn with about 30 rooms and a very nice restaurant and bar on the first floor. Service was excellent and all were cheerful. Apparently all are local folk. I started with a vodka martini which was perfect and then got the cod which was fabulous. Most enjoyed their meals. I did not get dessert. Recommend for a dinner if you are in the Killarney area. My husband and I ate dinner here as part of a Tauck bus tour of Ireland. The food, service and ambiance were great. We were very disappointed after reading all of the rave reviews. The menu they have posted online has many delicious options and was why we chose to eat here in addition to the 5 star reviews. When we got there it was an entirely new menu with limited options and hardly any local cuisine as the old menu had. We got ribeyes because everything else on the menu was odd. The food wasn't terrible but it was our least favorite meal while in Ireland. Very disappointed after waiting months to finally eat here only to find out everything we were excited about has been taken off the menu and we had to search to find something that sounded good in each course. read more

Excellent, excellent meal. Started with the open ravioli and the daily special appetizer (crab/prawn potato cake, smoked salmon, and battered prawns). Both were incredible; fresh, sweet seafood, perfect textures, and complementary sauces. At the suggestion of the proprietor, my husband got the lamb and it was the best he's ever eaten. Perfectly cooked medium rare, and no "lamby" flavor. He had been hesitant to order the dish because was accompanied by sweet potatoes (which he doesn't care for), but she convinced him anyway, then substituted scallop potatoes for him. We had the best dinner at Rozzers restaurant on August 5th. My son found the recommendation online. It was myself and my husband, three children and my other in law. From start to finish we all loved our meal, it was probably the best meal we had in our 10 day trip to Ireland. The service was great and the wine pairing was impeccable. This was a fantastic experience. We were in Killarney and looking for a nice restaurant to go to, and this place came up after some research. Long story short, this place definitely fit the bill! I've been to plenty of fancy restaurants with the whole gamut of Michelin stars, and this restaurant was definitely one of the top in terms of service, food, and overall experience. We got a last minute 8PM reservation and showed up a little bit early. The staff welcomed us so warmly (that Irish hospitality, is what they tell me), and they took our jackets and ushered us into a side bar that was decorated in a country club style kind of way. The entire staff addressed us by our first names the whole time and took our orders for dinner while we were waiting at the bar. The two of us opted to get the two course menu, and the restaurant so wonderfully allowed one of us to get an appetizer and a main, and the other to get a main and a dessert. By this time of our Ireland trip, we found that Irish food portions tended to be rather large, so we were delighted to spend all of our energy on the mains and not at every single course. We ordered a crudo salmon plate for our appetizer, a lamb and a salmon course for the mains, and then the sticky toffee pudding for dessert. All of it was phenomenal, with the lamb sticking out particularly due to its tenderness and rich flavor. The salmon was a perfect medium-rare. One thing to note - the mains themselves come with their own LARGE sides of veggies. My piece of advice to you: don't tire out your stomachs to try to eat a reasonable portion of all the food. Do yourself a favor and ask the staff to pack away the food you can't eat because tomorrow, you'll have the best leftovers ever. Again, this place was fantastic. After dining here, I have a better appreciation of the demographic that writes reviews for Trip Advisor. From the crowd in the restaurant, I am assuming they are mainly older (55+) and part of a tour. The owners deftly realize this and have done a great job of understanding what makes them satisfied. Overall, the food was reminiscent of a 1970s "fine dining" restaurant. The quality of much of the ingredients was rather poor. For instance, the shrimp were not fresh, and the croutons on the salad were those bread cubes used for stuffing. The execution of the recipes was also lackluster. As everyone notes, the owners are extremely attentive, charming and very accommodating. read more

So allow me and my partner to introduce ourself We reside in New Jersey around 45 minutes from NYC, travel the world and are no strangers visiting to gourmet/haute cuisine. We enjoy our food and have had our share of notable meals at all the usual suspects the world over. We came to Rozzers expecting a good meal, and we were happily surprised with a top notch meal that holds its own with some of the very best. The Michelin folks should soon be visiting.The ambience is one of comfortable elegance, understated and with appropriate space given between tables to allow for individual discreet conversations to take place. Seating is comfortable for the featured served multi course meals. There's not a person we encountered on the waitstaff including owner Mike and Geraldine who did not make us feel like a decades long regular client, very friendly, caring, but never overbearing or intrusive. We chose this restaurant because it was ranked #1 on Trip Advisor. It was fine dining, so my husband called to see if he would need a coat and tie. The reply was "it's casual, dearie". That's the tone of the place. Immediately upon walking in the door, we were greeted by the owner Michael who introduced himself and welcomed us. Our wait staff introduced themselves and before long we had met Geraldine the other owner. We did the 3 course pix fixe with much wine. Most the diners seemed to be hotel guests. Food was exceptional and service impeccable. The best part was at the end of the evening when we gave them our taxi card and asked them to call us a taxi. Geraldine asked where we were staying and insisted that Michael could drive us back to our hotel. You don't find service like that in the US. The Irish people are so friendly and kind. read more

Incredible fine dining with top notch hospitality. Michael and Geraldine are the best hosts--they make you feel like you're having a meal in their home. Prix fixe menu is a little pricey, but every dish is better than the next and the portions are enormous. They seat you in the bar for drinks first, which makes for a bit of a tipsy beginning. But once you move to the dining room the atmosphere is romantic and they serve you warm homemade bread/scones. The stand out dishes were the baked goat cheese, the chicken supreme, the lamb chops and then the sticky toffee pudding for dessert (best we've had in Ireland/Scotland). We dined with mostly locals and a fellow diner even serenaded the room with a beautiful impromptu Irish song. Do not miss out on this wonderful dining experience! We ate here with a large group of 15. The staff was attentive and polite. The owner Michael was a delight and handled the business well while his wife was out of town. He kept us entertained and well fed. The food was delicious and fresh. Our meals came hot and with large portions. We were sure not to go home hungry. The atmosphere is casual however there was a small formal wedding party in the next room. Michael made sure all of his guests, locals and visitors, were happy and well cared for. This gem will definitely be on our visit again list on our next vacation. read more
