The food options are good and not too pricey! Went with family a few times and we always had a good time and great service. Great atmosphere and super convenient place to eat if you're staying in the hotel or in the area.

Staying at the International Hotel Killarney, we were exhausted from our travels and decided to eat at Hannigans which has an entrance right in the hotel lobby. Noreen was our server and she took such great care of us. She offered great recommendations and suggestions--also was prompt in making sure we had everything we needed. The food was absolutely superb. I had the goat cheese appetizer, duck and chocolate and orange dessert. Everything was amazing and I cannot recommend this restaurant enough. The price point was excellent for the high quality food we had. Do not hesitate to stop here during your Killarney visit!!

Came here with a tinder date and I have no idea what is going on with my tummy! I get full so easily it's so weird. But anyways, the ambience is a tad nicer than your casual dinners but you don't have to dress up. I ordered the seafood chowder, smoked salmon croquette and salmon with prawns and scallops. I checked in on yelp and showed them the free coffee option. They said okay and gave it to me then a few minutes later another guy comes to us and informs us they don't honor it..it would be nice to have mentioned that before giving me the coffee. They charged 8.50 for a cup of coffee! Not cool. The food was okay. I loved the mixture of breads they served. All was delicious and tasted freshly baked. You can get refills too! The smoked salmon croquette barely had salmon in it. It tasted like a fried dough. The shrimp was very salty and the scallops weren't as light and fluffy as I hoped. I loved the hollandaise sauce but found it strange that it was solidified. The sauce was still great though. Never thought about pairing that with the fish but I guess it's common for breakfast - smoked salmon eggs benedict. So why so many stars if everything was just average? Well the service was speedy and the presentation for all the dishes were good but the most important part was the seafood chowder. Hands down, the BEST seafood chowder I've ever had. I could drink this everyday. It was perfect chowder. Thick chunks of seafood and it was so creamy. The flavor was so rich and ahh I could drink gallons of these. We were also fooled by the big piece of fish - we thought it was potato..We loved the soup. The entree also came with sides of either chips or mash with vegetables. We went with the mash and vegetables and eh. The mash sucked. It was so dry and reminded me of boxed mash. The veggies were very oily. It was probably stir fried. YOU MUST ORDER THE SEAFOOD CHOWDER.

What a disappointment. Not one star because the tables are well spaced, the internet works, and the wifi is good, but: - The 'early bird special' evening menu was more expensive than alla Carte, for the items that I wanted. - the service was highly chaotic: Waiter 1 gave the menu, waiter 2 took the order, waiter 3 brought the starter, waiter 4 one cleaned the table after starter, waiter 5(!) brought the main course (and didn't know who ordered what). - When the table was cleaned, no: 'how was it?' - the starter was brought out 90 seconds after ordering it. The main minutes after finishing the starter. The bill was on the table literally 30 seconds after declining a desert. We were actually just discussing a drink as a desert. The bill was then taken away again and we had our drinks (drinks that were not served at the same time). - We saw a gentleman on the table next to us trying to get the attention of the waiter (with a stretched arm!) for minutes. None of the waiters saw him. - worst of all: my flat green beans were with the tips on them! And the thread that needs to come off, still on. Unbeatable..

Expensive Hotel-Restaurant? Nope, this is a good place to eat :) Service: nice and friendly. Helped with everything. Food: reasonable fair prices. For 15 euros you get your stomache filled with tasty meat (also more expensive stuff available). Dont know how an irish stew should taste, but this was totally worth ordering. Location: easy to get by feet from nearly everywhere in Killarney. I tried this location because if the good yelp rating and didnt get dissapointed. Everything clean. The Pub was so lovely and the restaurant totally good looking and fine :) Summary: go there for a good irish food wirh meat or the pib wirh live music.

Found this Jewel while looking for a place to eat. It doesn't disappoint. Amazing food a piece of art as you can see by the pictures. Highly recommend and will certainly come back on our next visit back to Killarney!

Stopped by for dinner on my last night in Ireland, and this place was great. For a pub the food was outstanding and so was the service. Had Brendan as a server, and he was fantastic

The pie of the day, not on the menu, was steak and kidney, which I had to try "for research purposes". The pastry crust extended to the sides and bottom so it fully enclosed the filling and was served "freestanding". Crust and gravy were excellent. In the filling, both the steak and the kidneys were plentiful. My research completed, I probably wouldn't order it again; just give me the steak - no more kidneys please! Nevertheless I did enjoy and finished it. This was served with decent fries and a truly excellent green salad: a variety of leafy greens, radishes, cucumbers, pickled onions, and pre-dressed with a vinaigrette. The wife had the Beef & Guinness Casserole, served with brown bread. Along with steak there were also plentiful veggies (root vegetables and celery) and mashed potatoes in the center. She liked it. I tried it and agreed. I would get that next time. I had a Jameson Old Fashioned to drink and it was the best Old Fashioned I've had in some time. The unusually large twisted orange peel probably contributed and it may have had more than the customary amount of bitters. The wife's tea was amusingly served with a knitted "cozy" keeping the teapot hot. For dessert we shared a Sticky Toffee Pudding, served with vanilla ice cream, attractively presented with a dusting of sugar, whipped cream, and a ground cherry complete with its leaves. I'd rate it second among the three I've tried so far. Would certainly order it again. As for the pub I can't say. It has a reputation for good traditional Irish music every night but unfortunately not until 9:30, way too late for us. Sadly we're just not pub people.

Cronins sits on a Main Street through Killarney and feels like old world Ireland from the road to the table. It has a storied past in Killarney, being open over 60 years at this point. The space is as you would expect, cozy, local and welcoming. The menu is rooted in local ingredients including seafood, beef and veggies. We popped in for an early dinner and had an appetizer of the Smoked Irish Salmon, which was fresher than expected. Such a simple dish, but it was executed perfectly. For our mains, we had a burger and the Shepard's Pie. Burger was good. It was juicy, well cooked and the onion relish thing they had going on was *chefs kiss*. The Shepard's Pie was spot on. Both were made with local beef, which was cool and extra tasty! Beyond the food, Cronins also has their own cider, which was phenomenal and oddly enough, the only cider I had the whole time I was in Ireland! That speaks more to the hold Guinness had on me and less to the variety of cider. After the cider, we went with a few house cocktails including the Clover Club and Dingle Donkey. Both were well prepared, vibrant and tasty! Service was uniquely local, friendly and fun! From the bartender to our server, they were both excellent! Overall, Cronins is a stellar spot in a great spot in Killarney! When we get back over the pond and to Killarney, Cronins is on the list to swing by again!

The space is good sized and features several dining areas and a decent sized bar. Decor and overall vibe is your classic Irish pub with lots of dark woods, soft lighting and grandiose fixtures and dividers. We initially bellied up the bar to grab a pint and cocktail while we waited for our table to be ready. After about 20 minutes, the staff came and whisked us away to a small table just off the main entrance. The table was not that comfortable, but they are doing everything they can with every inch of space they have, and we were just happy to be there! While bellied up to the bar, we enjoyed a pint of Guinness and the Apple & Honey cocktail. The Guinness was perfection, and the cocktail was tasty. The food menu has all the classics from toasties to stew and even fish and chips. We started our meal with the trio of croquettes. They were okay and plating was a bit odd as the salad and veggies that accompanied the croquettes were more visible and focus than the actual croquettes. While the trio was all different, the taste profiles were very similar for each one. For our mains, we both went with sandwiches. I got the Prime Sirloin Steak and my partner got the Ham, Cheese and Tayto. Steak was well cooked, bread was a great vessel, however more sauce would have been welcomed. The toastie was classic, no frills and hit the spot. Service was okay. Not very efficient or helpful, but also not awful or unfriendly. Was odd enough to notice, but not bad enough to ruin the visit. Overall, a fair rating is 3.5 for O'Donoghues. Given no half stars, they get the fourth. It is a good location and is just okay. We very much appreciated the effort made by the bartender. Loved the drinks, btw. We sat down and looked over the menu. Decided on the burger and soup and sandwich combo. The burger was really good, made with Irish Hereford beef. It was so beautiful on the plate and tasted great. I got the soup abd sandwich of the day. It was a carrot soup (carrot and something else, I can't recall) and a toasty of ham and cheese with Tayto chips. Both the soup and sandwich hit the spot. It was a beautiful pub, lots of cute areas, I even saw an armored suit when I went to the bathroom. I found the menu prices very reasonable. 9.50 euro for soup, sandwich and chips (crisps).

The name "Bricín" is Irish for "little trout" and is also the name of a stone bridge in Killarney National Park. The restaurant was established by the McGuire brothers, who restored the building with antique timber and stained glass. The restaurant is upstairs from a gift shop that I believe the owners also operate. We had made reservations and once upstairs, we were personally greeted and welcomed by maybe one of the brothers. Mary was our wait person for the evening, who we found to be warm, friendly, and attentive. We were also seated at a nice corner table (#14) that allowed the right amount of dining privacy with a very attractive room. Bricín offers a fixed price meal (appetizer, main, and dessert) for 46 Euro and an "Early Bird" special for 34 Euros. We opted to order off the Menu as follows: - Hake and Salmon Gratin (Fern) - Boxty (House Specialty) - Traditional Irish potato pancake, cooked on the griddle with mixed salad and a choice of meat (Don) - Rack of Kerry Lamb (Gayle Loves Lamb!) - Thai Red Chicken Curry with Thai jasmine rice (Eric) - Adult Beverages (Wines) - Spanish Rueda (White), Pinot Grigio, Siegel Reserva (Chilean Merlot), and another Merlot. - Split 2 Desserts (One Special) plus teas and coffee. It was all a wonderful dining experience, when food, atmosphere, service, and good company all become greater than the sum of its parts.
