If you're planning on visiting Killarney, Ireland don't pass by this gem. The food was Outstanding. I took photos of our appetizers that were delicious but honestly the 4 hour braised lamb shank was Amazing. The shared the appetizers and the braised lamb shank and literally had no room for dessert. Their portions are definitely shareable. This restaurant will not disappoint. We visited on 10/10/25.

Best Killarney sourced lamb shank. Guess I just ate one of those lambs I saw grazing. Least it's organic and cute.

My very rare 5 star awarded to Murphy browned. The lamb shank was slow cooked and sucking the marrow was so very doable. Excellent service with the gentleman. All pros there.

Fantastic meal. We spent the day on the Dingle Peninsula and then hit a couple of sites in Killarney so by 5 pm we were very hungry. We started with an order of bruschetta which was so flavorful, highly recommend. I had the lamb shank and my wife the salmon for our main course. The lamb fell off the bone and was so tender and flavorful and the salmon was cooked perfectly. We are generally not desert people but asked about recommendations and the cheesecake was highly recommended and it was incredible. A white chocolate and mint, very fluffy and light, cheesecake - a must get

Lamb shank. The service so good! The owner was accommodating and the atmosphere was amazing. I couldn't recommend this place more!

Amazing service and atmosphere! Food was even better. Couldn't recommend this place more!

Glass of wine for just €1 more than a bottle of beer, a deal.

Came down looking for pub food fish and chips. Got gourmet fish and chips, nothing to complain of in that. A NICE piece of fish.

This small restaurant had good Irish comfort food and great drinks. The service was a little slow. The atmosphere charming.

Lamb shank was excellent as was my wife's fish and chips. Service was amazing. Beer was fresh and cold. Great place to eat in Killarney.

Great Pub with live music. We also stayed in the hotel connected and the location is in the heart of the action.

The pie of the day, not on the menu, was steak and kidney, which I had to try "for research purposes". The pastry crust extended to the sides and bottom so it fully enclosed the filling and was served "freestanding". Crust and gravy were excellent. In the filling, both the steak and the kidneys were plentiful. My research completed, I probably wouldn't order it again; just give me the steak - no more kidneys please! Nevertheless I did enjoy and finished it. This was served with decent fries and a truly excellent green salad: a variety of leafy greens, radishes, cucumbers, pickled onions, and pre-dressed with a vinaigrette. The wife had the Beef & Guinness Casserole, served with brown bread. Along with steak there were also plentiful veggies (root vegetables and celery) and mashed potatoes in the center. She liked it. I tried it and agreed. I would get that next time. I had a Jameson Old Fashioned to drink and it was the best Old Fashioned I've had in some time. The unusually large twisted orange peel probably contributed and it may have had more than the customary amount of bitters. The wife's tea was amusingly served with a knitted "cozy" keeping the teapot hot. For dessert we shared a Sticky Toffee Pudding, served with vanilla ice cream, attractively presented with a dusting of sugar, whipped cream, and a ground cherry complete with its leaves. I'd rate it second among the three I've tried so far. Would certainly order it again. As for the pub I can't say. It has a reputation for good traditional Irish music every night but unfortunately not until 9:30, way too late for us. Sadly we're just not pub people.

A Fantastic Dining Experience at Bricin!…read more A huge shoutout to Johnny McGuire for making our evening unforgettable! My husband and I were on the lookout for a dinner spot and didn't realize we needed a reservation. Luckily, we stumbled upon Bricin around 6:30 pm, right at the peak of dinner time. We were warmly greeted by the staff and asked to wait just a bit to see if they could fit us in. After a brief 15 minutes, Johnny worked his magic and found us a lovely table for two. Our server, Elizabeth, was absolutely wonderful! She made us feel right at home as we settled in for what turned out to be an incredible meal. I chose the Pork Apricot, while my husband enjoyed the Oven Roasted Duck Breast, both accompanied by generous servings of fresh vegetables and mashed potatoes. Every bite was perfection! With our bellies full and happy, we left to continue our vacation adventure, but not without emphasizing how much we appreciated Johnny and the amazing team at Bricin. We truly felt the warmth of an Irish welcome. If you're in town, make sure to stop by--you won't regret it! #Bricin #DiningExperience #IrishHospitality #GratefulCustomer

The menu has lots of inventive twists on the classic Irish pub menu. We started with the warm garlic bread with Brie and honey-delicious and sticky (bit they give you wet wipes). We also tried their version of a wedge salad which was fine but pales a bit when Compared to its American cousin. The real standout for uniqueness was the 7 oz filet served at the table on an 800 degree stone. It comes out seared in the kitchen on the stone so you can then finish it to your liking (hint: slice it to make things easier and faster). The steak came with several sides including patatas bravas, onion rings and more and at €46 was a decent deal. We shared all the courses and it was plenty of food. The modest wine list has several by the glass options but no real standouts. Glasses come in Two sizes. I REALLY enjoyed the smoked old fashioned drink with earthy woodsmoke trapped then released from the glass at the table. It's a bit tough on the servers-the layout-as it is harder to keep an eye on your customers so expect service to feel a little off/leisurely. A great time and a fun spot right in the heart of Killarney. Highly recommended.

They greeted me warmly and did a wonderful job of taking my food and drink order. The chowder was absolutely fantastic and the service could not have been better. This restaurant is very peaceful. comfortable and somewhat elegant at the same time. The only negative was that the restaurant got slammed right as I was finishing my meal. When I say slammed, I would say that about 60 people came in various size parties. I had to wait for 25 minutes for my check. I am an American so I may be unfamiliar with the customs in Ireland. I would have at least appreciated some eye contact while I was waiting for my check. They also seemed hesitant to let me take my chowder home, but that also might be a cultural thing that I just don't understand I would go back anytime if I was in Killarney.

We chose the prawn cocktail to start, roast supreme of chicken, and the 16 ounce t-bone. The prawn cocktail came in a large crystal serving dish with about 10 prawns covered in a Rose Marie sauce on a bed of lettuce. Prawns were well cooked, nice and tender, and sweet. Two slices of brown bread and butter. The chicken was lightly fried and came with a stuffing of thyme and spring onion, gravy and French fries. Chicken was well cooked, flavorful and juicy. The fries were nice and crispy. The t-bone was 16ounces and came with mushrooms, onions, onion rings and fries. The steak was cooked as requested, medium rare. The mushrooms were small button mushrooms with sautéed onions. Part of the steak was nice and tender but there were parts that were tough and grisly and fatty. It was okay but not something I would order again. The onion rings, 3, were heavily breaded, stuck together and were not appetizing to look at and definitely not to eat. The fries were nice and crispy and served very not. This was an okay meal but based on it I'm not sure we'd make a return trip. Seating was probably the most comfortable that we have found recently but the place is very noisy and makes it hard to hold a conversation. Service was mediocre in that once we got our main meal we didn't see a server to come back and check to see home things were. They were extremely busy so this might account for that but I'm not sure. .
