In the filling, both the steak and the kidneys were plentiful. My research completed, I probably wouldn't order it again; just give me the steak - no more kidneys please! Nevertheless I did enjoy and finished it. This was served with decent fries and a truly excellent green salad: a variety of leafy greens, radishes, cucumbers, pickled onions, and pre-dressed with a vinaigrette. The wife had the Beef & Guinness Casserole, served with brown bread. Along with steak there were also plentiful veggies (root vegetables and celery) and mashed potatoes in the center. She liked it. I tried it and agreed. I would get that next time. I had a Jameson Old Fashioned to drink and it was the best Old Fashioned I've had in some time. The unusually large twisted orange peel probably contributed and it may have had more than the customary amount of bitters. The wife's tea was amusingly served with a knitted "cozy" keeping the teapot hot. For dessert we shared a Sticky Toffee Pudding, served with vanilla ice cream, attractively presented with a dusting of sugar, whipped cream, and a ground cherry complete with its leaves. I'd rate it second among the three I've tried so far. Would certainly order it again. As for the pub I can't say. It has a reputation for good traditional Irish music every night but unfortunately not until 9:30, way too late for us. Sadly we're just not pub people.

My husband and I were on the lookout for a dinner spot and didn't realize we needed a reservation. Luckily, we stumbled upon Bricin around 6:30 pm, right at the peak of dinner time. We were warmly greeted by the staff and asked to wait just a bit to see if they could fit us in. After a brief 15 minutes, Johnny worked his magic and found us a lovely table for two. Our server, Elizabeth, was absolutely wonderful! She made us feel right at home as we settled in for what turned out to be an incredible meal. I chose the Pork Apricot, while my husband enjoyed the Oven Roasted Duck Breast, both accompanied by generous servings of fresh vegetables and mashed potatoes. Every bite was perfection! The menu has lots of inventive twists on the classic Irish pub menu. We started with the warm garlic bread with Brie and honey-delicious and sticky (bit they give you wet wipes). We also tried their version of a wedge salad which was fine but pales a bit when Compared to its American cousin. The real standout for uniqueness was the 7 oz filet served at the table on an 800 degree stone. It comes out seared in the kitchen on the stone so you can then finish it to your liking (hint: slice it to make things easier and faster). The steak came with several sides including patatas bravas, onion rings and more and at €46 was a decent deal. We shared all the courses and it was plenty of food. The modest wine list has several by the glass options but no real standouts. Glasses come in Two sizes. I REALLY enjoyed the smoked old fashioned drink with earthy woodsmoke trapped then released from the glass at the table. It's a bit tough on the servers-the layout-as it is harder to keep an eye on your customers so expect service to feel a little off/leisurely. It was okay but not something I would order again. The onion rings, 3, were heavily breaded, stuck together and were not appetizing to look at and definitely not to eat. The fries were nice and crispy and served very not. This was an okay meal but based on it I'm not sure we'd make a return trip. Seating was probably the most comfortable that we have found recently but the place is very noisy and makes it hard to hold a conversation. Service was mediocre in that once we got our main meal we didn't see a server to come back and check to see home things were.
